00:00Pope Leo XIV called on Wednesday for sufficient humanitarian aid to be allowed into war-ravaged Gaza where a total blockade has caused severe food and medicine shortages.
00:43Israel has blocked food, fuel, and medical supplies from entering Gaza since early March, raising fears of famine among its 2.3 million residents.
00:52Some aid trucks were allowed in on Monday after mounting international pressure, but by Tuesday night, the United Nations reported that no aid had been distributed.
