00:00Pakistan v England we are here at the lovely Dubai Cricket Stadium start of a fresh test
00:17smash day one right then Miss Boulak has been extremely lucky when it comes to winning a
00:23cricket toss and he did well on that occasion also a little embarrassed
00:30that's played away fine first boundary of the innings and the morning fine defliction
00:36nice push through the offside it's a fast outfield that ball may just go and hit the rope it does
00:47it's a thick edge and will run away to the third man boundary that's aged and possibly will make
00:58it to the fence also it's a fast outfield Moina Lee is after it so that's a lot better that really is
01:06a smash through mid wicket much more convincing from Massoud lovely shot that's going to go for
01:20sir firmly pushed down the ground from Hafiz it's a good shot really good shot controlled pull it's a
01:30good shot him a little bit of confidence but he needs to get it higher Marquardt set gone through
01:41should go all the way as well
01:43it is out and it's if inside edge and that's what England need inside edge on that occasion yes a big
01:57one and just off that flap that's a good catch taken so uh yes after a boundary of the first ball a
02:04Moina Lee strikes for England in Pakistan lose their first wicket that's a good shot that is a good shot
02:14just a fraction short no pace in the pitch as such it's put away in style oh that's so well done that's
02:27brilliant from England and they're checking that for a no ball I would have thought the umpires might
02:37have got that right on their own never mind great catch though absolutely fantastic catch show of Malik
02:47he's gone for just two it's 58 for two he's been wanting to do that for a long time now just been
02:56eyeing for that right length and he's got the desired result 64 for two I don't think Moan Ali will be
03:03Moan Ali will be too upset
03:05down the track and muscle through the offside he's looked good in the last half an hour or so
03:18gets it past and will get his 50 as well it's a nice shot the timing was proper from the left
03:30hander and he's played a good hand here you've got to admire the resilience and it's a kind of a big
03:37comeback for the left hander after being it's so much out of sorts in the first test match he's made
03:43a very good return of form here well that smashed Yunus Khan is an excellent player against spin and
03:51there's an example of that is that an edge straight away after lunch it is so if England wanted that
04:00third wicket before lunch they didn't quite get it but they got it they think the first ball after lunch
04:06that umpire not convinced that a mistake has been made happy to go with Paul Reifel's on-field decision
04:19so what a start after lunch for England
04:22lovely shot
04:28fast outfield here but that was hit particularly well by Yunus Khan
04:40that's not such a clever delivery Miss Balak will manage a four shot mid-off in fate
04:48guides it past the slips for four
04:54is very well played that's gone all the way and I'm absolutely certain for Rashid in the first
05:03innings you can drop one of your mid-off or mid-on three quarters of the way back
05:13that's well swept I'll go for four fifty partnership for these two
05:17that has missed everyone
05:24Esht into the fence first slip not there
05:31and Miss Bako so the reverse
05:36good player of the reverse sweep and huddles it away for a boundary
05:42he picks an easy single should come back for the second
05:48and the spectators applaud another Yunus Khan fifty
05:51marvelous consistency from a fine batsman
05:55easily done that is so well timed by Miss Balak making use of the angle from around the stumps was Moyn Ali
06:01oh it was a big noise there down the leg side and he walks off
06:12oh that's a bonus for England
06:16he almost comes off the face of the bat I think
06:19well taken by Josh Butler
06:22and England have got what they needed the breakthrough
06:25oh hello
06:29well Miss Bako moves to 50 52
06:36premeditated shot and he plays it well
06:41Esht will find the fence as the traffic
06:49late
06:55number six post
06:57catch
06:58catch it is the call he misses the fielder
07:00and gets the four
07:01a little risky
07:03a little iffy
07:05was Asha Shafiq but he gets away with it
07:10he's played that over long on
07:12that would land yes
07:14maximum four Miss Balak
07:16McCain
07:18I think much wrong with the delivery
07:20just a good shot
07:23and again
07:31this time
07:35should be maximum back-to-back sixes for Miss Balak
07:39strong it
07:40not so well hit this one but well enough
07:46and get four runs for that rare loose ball
07:55well he got away with it it's a bit committed to it that's why but he was deceived in the flight
08:08no
08:10flashy drive
08:23not in control but gets a boundary down to third man
08:27I think a bit more impetuous than Miss Balak
08:34is in the air but in the vacant region
08:38that's four runs straight away
08:40in the air it's pulled away just above the square leg fielder
08:46that's four more
08:51oh he gets enough on it
08:58that's a beautiful shot
08:59lots of spaces there with three slips and a gully
09:02just left the gap open and invited the drive and
09:05Asad Shafiq plays it perfectly
09:09lovely studying how to play the cover drive
09:19and Miss Balak goes big
09:21with so many people around him he decides to take the aerial route
09:24and he gets the maximum that's the third today
09:27he's a big man
09:30plays some big shots
09:32there
09:37there he goes
09:38that should be his 100
09:39whether it's a big six or four
09:40yes it is six
09:51chooses the reverse sweep to get the big 100
09:53Pakistan captain
09:55he's gonna push for
09:56two
09:57yeah that's
09:58that's what he's gonna get
09:59but what a knock he's played
10:00yes his son loves it
10:02family loves it
10:03101
10:04for the Pakistan captain
10:05101
10:06not out
10:07single is what they'll get
10:26and that's it
10:27well
10:28single is what they'll get and that's it well played Miss Baulhaak
10:38yeah he's worked really hard there Miss Baulhaak captain of the team and it looked as if it was
10:47just going to be job done last half hour play carefully and then he just sprung into life
10:52played a couple of big shots for six got a reverse sweep out got himself into a wonderful position
10:59for Pakistan 282 for four be presented to you on second test day two oh god Miss Baulhaak has been
11:15declared leg before wicket is going to confer with his partner but England have struck gold it's fallen
11:21across the line of the ball with his head because he's thinking about ducking you can see how low
11:27his head is there it's not a woody sound and this is hitting the stumps down the lakeside and well
11:34England have got success well it's an excellent bit of bowling from Stuart Broad excellent planning
11:41from England gets it to the fence gets this 50 as well as such a fig has played a very good innings
11:51a very good player at number six extremely consistent well that before short and wide and given the
12:02treatment gets it away this time leg side run away for four full toss in the gap goes for four
12:16it's beautifully played usually starts with a shortish ball Moeen Ali should be out yes safe hands for
12:34jimmy anderson so a combination of drinks and Moeen Ali and jimmy anderson at mid on as done for safras
12:43Pakistan lose their sixth wicket didn't push him out so go on you try and get it over the top see the
12:50bat they're just coming off the handle a bit and jimmy anderson no mistake big shot from wahab
12:59Riyaz will earn him a boundary will he go again he's played that in the air that should be a wicket
13:07for England here and that's well judged and well taken anderson the man wicket number seven falls
13:19it's well delivered by Moeen keeping it away from his range firing it on that off stump line anderson
13:26had to wait and wait and took a very good catch nice soft hands looking at the ball and wahab is gone
13:38so the opportunity was there and he cashed in on it the field was in wanting him to play a dock delivery
13:45wanting him to play a defensive shot and the reaction from Asad Shafiq was a good one
13:50going over the keeper's head into the fence
13:56got to him when he was not in total control
14:04more runs for Pakistan and more runs for Yasir Shah four of them by sleight of hand
14:17good shot from Yasir Shah this is a powerful drive against the spin
14:25over pitching and driven through the offside
14:35Stokes takes a good catch lex spinner versus lex spinner and it's Adil Rashid has picked up his
14:41first wicket of the innings but he was leoed into this drive slicing it yeah closing the face of the
14:47blade and a very good catch in the slips
14:51oh that's out oh yeah and that was the one full and straight and they might think about a review but
15:00sitting about middle and i'm not quite sure he thinks that is but sitting about middle and leg
15:04and that's it eventually they set the field jaw route came from slipping to short mid wicket
15:16and Pakistan have been bowled out this morning England slap bang in this game 378 all out terrific
15:23effort from England
15:28goes to the big hee-haw over the leg side and here comes England's openers Alistair Cook fresh from that marathon
15:35I think it'd be great if you interviewed Imran
15:51we've seen that before just a little tuck off the hips gets Alistair Cook away
15:56oh taken
16:04Shan Massoud at short leg and not the first time in this game that we've seen short leg snap up a brilliant
16:10catch you're looking a meter either side and it could have been four
16:17flicked it away and it nestles in there real exciting time for the catcher certainly for the bowler
16:26it's a lovely shot you're just uh slightly worried when you see a batsman clip one off the hip with
16:36those short legs waiting at the moment but that fairly whistle to the fence
16:43now is there an edge it's a beauty that is a terrific delivery from Imran Khan full
16:49forcing Bell to play move late and took the edge excellent start this from Pakistan
16:58little nick
17:00bit of a scream from Ian Bell as well he knows he's a goner
17:03that's an adjustment of line but what a beautiful shot that is from the England captain
17:20it's a top edge Joe Root finds the fence fly third man the fly slip is it called oh that's hit him
17:27he can do that to the very best in the business Wahab and Joe Root has had a terrific year with the bat
17:35even he's finding it tough to manage he sees it early and he appears to be leaving it quite comfortably
17:41I don't think it just came back a bit more we kept the presence of mind keep his hands in the bat out
17:45the way took a blow
17:52oh that's uh a little too tough for even the keeper to handle that's wide and
17:57oh
18:11that's gone and uh it's a boundary to cook
18:14picked up the length early and smashed it good batting by Root
18:27unlike but when the opportunity is there he gets four
18:30runs here for Root
18:38could be four of them
18:44that runs here again for Root
18:46so Yasser has got to bowl a little wider and that's a big shot that really is well connected by Cook
18:52because he covers the stump so well away towards the offside this becomes a doable option for him
19:06he'll get a four but Shweb Malik there toying with the idea of bowling from that off stump line
19:15oh what a good delivery Yorker and it's not given
19:18Pakistan that's gone through for four it's been given as runs so uh will Pakistan go for a review Miss
19:25Baul Haq
19:30the inside edge actually and um it ran across
19:35between the legs I think for a four
19:40that's a good call
19:41now how good is that from Cook Cook had it covered all the way
19:55that's 50 for Cook and he'll get four for this moves on to 53
19:59Cook again standing firm
20:10a nibble he's had a nibble
20:16and again
20:20gets it past that gully
20:22imagine the leg spinner calling all kinds of havoc then
20:31it's picked up a wicket
20:33leg slip installed in Pakistan got a result almost straight away this is tremendous breakthrough
20:39for Pakistan Cook was looking so settled a leg side flick being picked up by the fielder there was
20:45positioned for this kind of a shot beautifully done up done by Pakistan
20:49feel certain this is an important breakthrough for sure Yasser Shah is broken through
20:56oh
20:5950 for Root
21:02it's another very compact innings from a very fine player
21:06what a season he's having
21:09shown tremendous consistency fine innings from Root
21:13that'll be four
21:29well that one might be even better
21:33down the wicket
21:34takes advantage of the fielders being up
21:36you'll feel that he knows what's coming
21:39and he hits that pretty well
21:43quick hands
21:47against the spin
21:50and he's going to get four
21:55it's got some bad on it should race away
22:01firm shot from Bairstow through the covers
22:03route sweeps and sweeps hard
22:10that is a beautiful shot this is a terrific battle between a fine young player
22:15fine young leg spinner umpires have decided that uh that will be it for the day
22:21day three coming up from dubai it's pakistan against england
22:34that's what root does so well there's lots of uh good qualities to his play that you pick out one of them and you'd say that anytime he gets something loose he puts it away
22:47full toss again and although yasir pushed mid wicket a little deeper
22:56nice to play deliberately played by route he's got the pace of wahab so he can use that pace
23:06that's what bairstow did well yesterday i thought really well he read the length
23:26from yasir the previous delivery which he had you'd probably say he misread the length he went back
23:31instead of forward but this time he's very quick
23:34taken this time excellent line from wahab riaz and root eager to get bat on ball
23:44and this time safraz makes no mistake diving away low to his right a big wicket for pakistan
23:52breakthrough pakistan wanted a full delivery outside of stamm root going for the drive
23:58just with the angle going across
23:59wahab gets the length right yeah oh that's gone cut behind he's not happy
24:07bahab riaz earns another major wicket and a breakthrough for pakistan
24:14bank stalks plays away from his body wicket keeper does the rest this is a good morning now for pakistan
24:20outside edge this time you see again there's a lack of bounce
24:34was a huge appeal again ungiven england are in trouble round the stumps straight a line
24:42that ball just moving away from the batsman's reach faint tickle faint
24:47edge and it's another good take by the keeper
24:52is in the air should be taken yes it is he scores one one now
24:58wicket number seven falls got a man at the other end his teammate from yorkshire on 46
25:04he just needs to stay with him hitting against the spin simplest
25:09catches and a seven down
25:20was there any bad in that wait for the umpire signal
25:24that looks pretty straight yes it did the minute the shout came it did it has been reviewed though
25:37but the umpire has given him out so you see pitching in line
25:40it's hitting leg
25:53good shot
25:55broadened understand we'll have coming back but if he's a little tired
26:00it's hit the turf i don't think that punk is well well they've claimed a catch
26:10and the umpire wants to make it absolutely sure whether there was
26:15an outside edge or whether this was a bump catch
26:18he was convinced that there was an outside edge but he wasn't sure whether this was a bump ball or not
26:24so if it's not a bump ball then i think he probably will get this is out
26:30yeah the red light is on and as yasser show has picked up another wicket a soft dismissal in the end
26:36you've got to say
26:41in the air and that should be it
26:44imran gets his second england all out for 242. what a performance by pakistan from this morning
26:53it's anderson who goes
26:57short ball couldn't keep his eyes on it couldn't keep it down turn this match on its head couldn't
27:04ride the bounce easy catches time for sofras and pakistan so here it is 378 all out pakistan and in
27:12reply england are 242 and they were 136 behind
27:17i think that was an edge it's an edge all right that would have been just what england needed there
27:28it is off the face of the bat
27:33just the hard work but gets there
27:35yeah and talking about the batting and butler's struggles with the bat
27:48taken this time
27:51butler going smartly to his left means that the drop in the previous over doesn't count for much
27:58it costs just that one run so we'll be happy with that that man in particular will be delighted
28:07something positive to think about jimmy anderson
28:14he's happy to take it on
28:15he's flat batted it into the fence
28:26wonderfully done by mark wood
28:29shwep malik just didn't like the pace wasn't settled against the right arm
28:34fast bowling of mark wood and a no-show once again from pakistan's number three it's the manner in which
28:40he's been getting out should be a cause of worry for pakistani think tank the feet not moving
28:45expecting a bouncer and wood has broken through
28:51there's the slot sweep with good effect
28:58powerful shot reaches the boundary very quickly loose delivery
29:01lovely shot driven wide delivery half volley and dispatch through extra cover
29:14short ball pulled away through mid wicket
29:19finds the gap
29:21pleasant shots at square of the wicket off the front foot
29:26awful toss given the treatment
29:32loose delivery and given the treatment dispatch through
29:36wide made on while england are so gifted and good in the fast bowling department that swing
29:42that's a that's a strong shot swung for six
29:47we hit that one over the rope and it sailed over
29:49without any fuss or much effort lead is now stretched to over 200
29:53forward
29:56dismissive is eunice khan with that sweep shot
30:01the positive thought platform is what is required that's
30:05beautifully managed by the right-hander he gets the four and gets to his 50
30:10with a booming pull shot
30:12gone, beautifully held
30:18this is a major breakthrough
30:20and the change working for England
30:22Mark Wood getting the better
30:24of the batsmen outside edge, Hafiz
30:26losing his focus after hitting
30:28a great pull shot
30:29Hafiz when he was looking good
30:32yeah
30:32not in control when he was playing that drive
30:36and it's root
30:38he was picked up
30:40but good, nice catch
30:42and the slips, Hafiz is gone
30:44after scoring 51, it's 83 for 3
30:46he's not going to
30:50bother with running to the other end
30:52he's so convinced Yunus Khan
30:54excellent shot
30:58pulled away
31:04powerfully
31:05that's a shot ball
31:08that's been taken care of
31:10by Mesba
31:11that's neatly done through mid wicket
31:16Yunus Khan
31:17just drifting into that leg stump
31:27and getting helped on its way
31:30Yunus Khan goes on to 52
31:33is there a faint edge on that
31:46this goes for four
31:48but it's by his signal by the umpire
31:50he's missed everything
31:51oh yeah
31:54it's off the shoulder
31:55the bat
31:55and Anderson is so close there
31:57the ball is just ballooned over him
31:58not the kind of thing
32:03an England batsman would
32:05want to look at
32:06trailing by
32:08290
32:09and the ball starting to
32:11misbehave
32:12shoulder of the bat
32:14Misba goes aerial
32:19loves taking Adil Rashid on
32:22easy as you like
32:25over mid off
32:26he'll block the seamers
32:28and when the spinners come on
32:29he'll like to chance his arm
32:30generally likes to go over the leg side
32:34at the batting
32:35I think that will come under scrutiny
32:36as Misba goes straight again
32:38strong man
32:40second successive six off Adil Rashid
32:43takes the Pakistan captain
32:45to 50
32:46backing up a very good 100
32:48in the first innings
32:49Misba goes to 50
32:51in the second
32:52another boundary off of Seymour
32:57down to third man
32:58oh no
33:02crunching shot
33:16under partnership
33:18well played
33:19plays that so well
33:24full toss
33:30he's not got this
33:31he's got enough of it
33:33it's a biggie
33:43almost identical
33:46Misba from the other day
33:47just going for those big hits
33:49getting closer to his 100
33:50in the last few moments of day 3
33:53222 for 3
33:57Pakistan lead by 358
34:00yes Pakistan clearly in the driver's seat
34:08they take on England
34:09second test
34:11day 4
34:11it's still a reasonable one
34:13but they're bound to be more
34:14upish and taken at mid-off
34:18Misba has misfired one
34:20and it's Cook with a catch
34:22and Pakistan have lost a skipper
34:24yeah it was a slower ball from Anderson
34:27an off spinner
34:27Misba who hits the ball generally so cleanly
34:32when he looks to go big
34:33didn't know at times where his off stump was
34:37and that's gone fine and for four
34:40lovely shot
34:43well this will be four
34:44creamed through the offside
34:48small and such a bird
34:51very good off the front for driving
34:54gets low to the wall
34:55well he's the one who's impressed me most
34:58oh a bit of luck there
35:03a little inside edge
35:04that's a good looking shot
35:10and will earn him four runs
35:12yeah we can see how far he's out of his crease
35:14so that no real pace is such in the wicket
35:24that is a fantastic shot especially on a wicket like this
35:32back-to-back boundaries for Asad Shafiq
35:34a real compact and stylish player
35:41that's belted hard is a good player
35:43Asad Shafiq batting conditions
35:47well he wanted to make use of the vacant acreage on the lakeside and he's done well there
35:51Yunus Khan is just two away now from a hundred
35:57that's hit hard into the fence
35:59it's another Yunus Khan special
36:02what a player
36:03consistent performer
36:05over 9,000 test match runs and
36:08yet another hundred here in UAE nation conditions he's a formidable force
36:13record exceptional
36:16record exceptional
36:17you don't go to be the highest scoring test period for Pakistan
36:21unless you've got something special and he has something special
36:24that's gone
36:28six magnificent stuff
36:30picks the gap beautifully
36:33splits those two men out on the lakeside boundary
36:36said it won't be easy but if you're Yunus Khan and you've got very swift footwork
36:45then you can make it easy
36:48he's a good player
36:53he's very very compact
36:54I like watching him back when you look at him
36:56at the crease in his setup he just looks so compact so natural
37:02have your back and get on with things there or would you prefer being out there
37:10well to be honest as an opposition captain I'm very happy Pakistan just taking time out of the game
37:15straight up in the air
37:18straight up in the air
37:19Moeen Ali backtracking from mid on
37:22takes a good catch
37:25terrific catch from Moeen Ali
37:28giving himself room as Adil Rashid was bowling into the rough he's trying to give himself room to go over the offside but
37:36Moeen Ali keeping his eyes on the ball and his head steady takes an excellent catch
37:41terrific shot footwork placement power as well
37:50and given
37:55umpires call and yes will be given out
38:03and said Shafiq will have to go for 79 confirmation of that
38:08and of the fact that Misbah has declared
38:12declaration coming at 354 for six
38:16and Pakistan's lead 490
38:19the end of another very good innings from Assad Shafiq
38:2279 in pretty quick time
38:23Pakistan will realize the importance of a cook dismissal early in the piece
38:29and if that can happen then obviously Pakistan
38:33can make inroads quickly but don't think ahead
38:37just remain in the present moment look to play out sessions
38:42there is on target straight away
38:48that's a good shot
38:52just to tap down the ground for a couple of runs
38:55that's the first one Imran Khan strikes
39:03and England have lost
39:04Moeen Ali
39:05again Pakistan getting the ball way outside off stump
39:11have a go and he does
39:14straight into second slip
39:16it's going to be four
39:28so there's the top edge
39:30and Gona
39:34any better than this
39:36it was always going to be tough for Cook to cook to survive this
39:39took a good catch in the end it was a pressure take because it was of Cook's baton so
39:49Pakistan have earned a huge wicket here
39:57plays the cut shot finds the gap
40:03off the mark with a pretty decent shot
40:05that smashed gets it past Shweb Malik at point
40:12still is very quick Shweb Malik but gives up the chase
40:15that's well played by Bell
40:19it's Bell right now is itching to get some runs under his belt
40:24he's also itching to get down the track
40:26it's going to be a much more difficult prospect
40:28I think in the second innings and the first
40:29and he did take four in the first
40:31that's what we've got to do as a batsman
40:35get anything just a little loose
40:38and put it away and keep the pressure on the bowler as well
40:43it's a good shot
40:44rocks back quickly
40:46picks the lens
40:52a good piece of feeling
41:01Mohamed Hafiz the fielder giving chase that for all the world I thought he'd made his ground
41:12and was about to drag this back in but
41:15seems to happen in slow motion
41:17goes wrong about now
41:23played a little short from the leg spinner
41:26and every time he has dropped short
41:36short again
41:38and once again Bell
41:41quickly onto it
41:47back cut from Root and he plays it beautifully
41:57it's cut well by Bell
41:58it's going to be
42:01runs here
42:02may not be four yes that's well done
42:05by Asad Shafiq
42:06lovely shot
42:13a little short from Wahab
42:16the rhythm of your innings
42:17Root
42:18naturally aggressive player
42:20deep into the crease
42:22I think that's quite important
42:25we're in trouble against a spinner when you just get caught and you're not sure of the length
42:29thick edge from Joe Root running down to the third man boundary
42:33gives him another half century
42:35he's in really good form and fighting hard
42:45you're always under pressure as an England player or an international player
42:48the best school runs
42:50now is that pad and glove
42:56yeah it's glove
42:57it's glove
42:59it's a good review from Ms. Bar
43:01and it looks as though the partnership between Bell and Root will come to an end
43:06no question that when that picture was blown up
43:09magnified
43:10nicely driven to Ms. Barul Haq
43:25so day four comes to an end
43:27here at the Dubai international cricket stadium
43:29England are 130 for three
43:33well it's been a dramatic last 45 minutes
43:35where Pakistan scored 354 for six declaring in their second innings
43:41leaving 400 plus for England
43:43they need seven wickets to win this match tomorrow
43:53turning out to be a fascinating battle Pakistan v England
43:57Pakistan needs seven more wickets to earn a
44:02historic win
44:02and go one up in the series
44:05England have fought hard through Root and Bell
44:08and they're 130 for the loss of three
44:13it's a drive through the offside and he'll get a four
44:15that's pretty special from Root
44:19Vahabria is over pitching and
44:22it's a lovely clean strike
44:25walking into that drive not exactly walking but
44:28the balance was was good and pushing himself
44:30oh very close to Shan Masood now he's got to pick up
44:37a cash there or make a catch from nothing
44:40well that's why you want your short leg we were talking about the absence of short leg at the
44:43start of play and Ms. Bar's corrected that and i reckon this might have just carried
44:48yeah it did it's not a difficult chance as they go there
44:51lovely shot through extra cover
45:02nice to feel the baton ball for Bairstock
45:04I'm sure that's a clean catch just not to the pitch of the ball
45:15now this is working perfectly you can see the zoom up and the fingers are underneath and the ball
45:26nestles in there jaw roots looking at it as well
45:33soft decision was out and there it is can't be a nice bug through and through
45:36oh he's cleaned him up he was trying to close the face of the bat
45:41he's missed it completely played around it
45:44and and tempting Johnny Barstow into playing that shot yeah it's a googly by the looks of it
45:50and he's just done in there in the flight i'm not sure it was a little bit slower similar pace and
45:54not much there for Johnny Barstow to pick up with regards to being a variation
45:58oh loves that that's missed the slip fielder and will run to the boundary for four
46:10oh he's missed it that will go to the boundary
46:15a slight stumping chance but there full face of the bat nicely timed it
46:19i reckon when he hit it he wasn't trying to hit a four he was trying to hit it in the gap
46:22yeah that's picked by Yunus Khan he's in business again Yasser Shah has got another one
46:31that's to play at it that's the secret and it does bounce it turns and bounces but uh
46:37Yunus Khan makes no mistake he's been there for many years now he knows exactly what to do
46:42and how to do it and does it well
46:44just butler he goes for seven
46:51more flight and that's delightfully done through the offside where the fielder was
46:57was put away and brought into the slips is cracked one in that area and it's a four
47:06thick edge from ben stokes brings him a boundary
47:09take a good catch
47:16Imran Khan we're talking about how straight he bowls how he hits a good length and
47:21just moves the ball a little off the seam
47:24and he's too good for ben stokes who is furious with himself on this turning pitch he's got out to
47:30a seamer for the second time in the game
47:31a fantastic length again from Imran and just a little bit of movement away from the left-hander
47:44arm ball from Zulfika misdirected down the leg side it's beaten Safraz
47:48good from broad a nice uh solid connection
47:59stands firm it's it to the covers that's a scoring area of the anything through that extra cover cover
48:08region
48:19that's weekly time through the offside he's played spin well here Adil Rashid
48:26goes back it's a crunch through mid wicket second boundary in the over
48:31that's nice broad has had his issues against the short ball not on that occasion had plenty of time to see it
48:44yeah in good position really no one there at square leg
48:52stylish and very fluent through the offside he just seems to have lost that line now he's got to get it back
49:01otherwise he's gonna get put away all day long
49:06yeah you're absolutely right because his target is off
49:12any more than required in this hot humid conditions that's off the back foot
49:21Adil will keep playing his shots that was a bad ball allowed him to rock back and played for a boundary
49:25oh that was close to us at shafiq and a chance of run out that's a miss again so
49:34he's just out of reach of one of the two short legs
49:37such a fake he's in there and he's well he's between the two of them
49:45that's the one he was looking for
49:48perfect yorker
49:50couldn't get the bat down and time abroad and he dismissed
49:54number eight goes
49:55every effort every senior he gets his swinging yorker in
50:01castle stuart broad the big fella's got one
50:09that's well done by him played it into the gap
50:12he gets four runs
50:17that's a good shot it really is a fine shot
50:26that was just a little too wide and allowed would be
50:32that's quite meaty this time through covers
50:34he's not going to stop himself
50:36other than just leave it oh that's dropped it went very quickly to professor
50:46in close at gully and just the pace of the ball never got his hands together
50:51seen him really drift the ball
50:57short and mark wood has seen it early enough and put it away i still think when you're in this
51:03position where you're just looking to bat out the draw it's very very important to put
51:12the hurry here mark wood
51:19applause for adil rashid's maiden test match 50 the applause now but
51:25mark wood was just a little late to set off there
51:27that's runs for adil straight bad nicely driven
51:41they've got the partnership broken they've got wicked number nine they've been waiting for over
51:46two hours for that
51:50look pretty good to me turn bounce high on the back off it goes
51:54absolutely nothing wrong with that whatsoever in fact i don't think it's been wrong with one catch
52:05anything wrong with any of them so far in this series it's just the cameras can
52:11shorten things but the umpire's got that right
52:13bad light will be a problem as rashid glances past the leg gully
52:21oh no it was in the air for a while yeah asad shafiq short leg puts it down
52:33yes sir shot brought on by misbar ul hack has induced a drive from adil rashid is caught cover
52:48and rashid's magnificent resistance comes to an end pakistan had prevailed with the light fading here
52:56going for a drive and the spin twins do it elation yeah yassir shah had been given a break his fingers
53:08were tired been struggling to get anything out of the pitch and he came back fizzed a couple
53:13and then adil rashid drawn into the drive scooped up by zulfika barber
53:20at cover so the traditional handshakes to complete pakistan then win this test match
53:26deep into the final session the bold england out in the second innings for 312 having declared their
53:34second innings at 354 for six there were plenty of heroes in the game misbar with the first innings
53:40hundred and runs in the second yudis khan with a hundred in the second innings yassir shah four for
53:46eighty seven but wahab riaz four for sixty six in england's first innings i think helped turn the
53:53game pakistan's way the man of the match award winner is wahab riaz for his splendid bowling spell
53:59that turned the game on its head his nine over spell on day three in the first morning got in three for
54:07fifteen and earned pakistan with a huge huge advantage
