Japan cleaner goes viral with spa-like service for plushies
A worn-out Pikachu plushie, tired teddy bear or stained stuffed animal can all get a new lease of life at a Japanese laundry service making beloved toys squeaky clean again. Business is booming at Cleaning Yonmarusan in Fuefuki with customers coming from all over the world for the high-end service. "I always start by washing it with my hands directly on the fabric," cleaning engineer Masakazu Shimura tells AFP. "These items hold special memories... customers see [the toys] as members of the family."
