00:00Yo, what's up guys? This is Karma64. How you guys doing today? I'm back with that video.
00:05And so for today's video, I'm going to be talking about Ken Shiro from Fist of North Star,
00:09who just recently was released as, you know,
00:14who was released, he was added as a playable character in, uh, Fatal Fury City of the Wolves,
00:21City of the Wolves or City of Wolves, I think? No, I think City of the Wolves, somewhere around there,
00:26you know.
00:27Yeah, so Ken Shiro was recently released for the game, you know, um, you know,
00:33and there have been, there are some gameplay videos of him.
00:35I don't know when he was released, but all I know is that he's, he's out right now.
00:38I think it was released a couple days ago or yesterday or something, or maybe last week or something.
00:44I don't know.
00:46So I don't have the game, but I am planning on getting it, and I am planning on playing as
00:51Ken Shiro, you know.
00:52He'll try and let's see what he does, you know.
00:56But, no, the main, the main, the mini grid of the video, the main topic of this video that I
01:01want to discuss about is,
01:03since that Ken Shiro is playable in the game, and since that he's DLC, you know,
01:09I'm wondering how long will he be available?
01:13Because here's the thing, um, you know, Ken Shiro, since that he's, you know,
01:20the thing with him is that, unlike the other characters in the Fatal Fury Sea of the Wolves,
01:27you know, you know, Ken Shiro, everyone else is, like, our video game characters,
01:32and Ken Shiro, he's pretty much an anime character, or, I guess, I guess you could say manga character.
01:39Yeah, well, you know, wanted to, I think, yeah, I think it's mostly a manga, he's mostly a manga character,
01:44because manga comes first before anime, anime is mostly adapted from manga,
01:48and almost anything can be an anime, like Marvel has had some animes and other stuff, you know.
01:53So, that's an example.
01:56Excuse me.
01:56So, Ken Shiro, the fact that he's a manga character, and you're probably wondering, okay, what's the big deal?
02:02Well, here's the thing.
02:04I'm just wondering, like, how long will Ken Shiro be available for the game?
02:09That's the thing.
02:11Because, the fact that, you know, that, you know, they were able to get him in the game is pretty
02:16interesting,
02:17because, you know, the fact that, you know, when companies get guest characters for fighting games, you know,
02:24there's always, like, an uphill battle to get those characters in.
02:28Sometimes they get in, sometimes they don't.
02:31Hey, guys, I'm back.
02:32Sorry, my dad walked in to throw something away in the trash, so, um, we can get back to filming
02:37now.
02:38So, like, you know, back when I was saying, sometimes guest characters, sometimes they get in, sometimes they don't.
02:44And, you know, the reason why I say it's an uphill battle, because sometimes, you know,
02:49certain characters don't really get in, you know.
02:52Obviously, it depends.
02:53But, also, the fact is, you know, the big, the big, huge factor is licensing.
03:00Like, you know, when companies do get guest characters in a fight, in a fighting game, like, you know,
03:05they have to license the character out.
03:07Like, you know, Tifa Lockhart, who's basically now been revealed to be coming to Street Fighter VI, you know.
03:14You know, Capcom basically had to license the character from Square Enix, you know.
03:19Not sure.
03:21Capcom, I guess they probably could have made a model for Tifa and put in Street Fighter VI.
03:26I think I said Street Fighter V earlier.
03:29Well, I don't know.
03:31If I did, I'm sorry.
03:32Well, no, I think I said Street Fighter VI sign.
03:34Mine's all over the place.
03:36But, you know, yeah, Capcom, they could have made, they probably could have made a model for Tifa Lockhart, you
03:41know,
03:42and put in Street Fighter VI, but they could probably get in trouble because with Square Enix,
03:47and Square Enix could sue them because Tifa Lockhart isn't really their character, isn't the character that they owned, you
03:53know.
03:53Unless if they were to buy the character and buy Square Enix, or buy the Final Fantasy, right, for instance,
03:59or buy Square Enix, that whole, you know.
04:02So Square Enix could have sued them, you know.
04:05So they need, they need a license, you know, make an agreement with Square Enix to put Tifa Lockhart in
04:10the game, you know.
04:14So, so, yeah, I'm assuming that's the thing with Kensiro.
04:19Kensiro, you know, from Fist of North Star.
04:21So, apparently, SNK, they probably had to license, they obviously had to license Kensiro,
04:27they had to do some kind of negotiation with Shonen Jump, you know, the company that owns Fist of North
04:33Star,
04:33or Shueza, who owns Shonen Jump, you know, you don't do a agreement with them.
04:39And I guess maybe the people who own Fist of North Star as well do a license agreement with them
04:44so they can put Kensiro in the game.
04:46But sometimes, you know, but sometimes, you know, sometimes plans don't always work out well, you know.
04:51Sometimes there could be disagreements and stuff.
04:53Like, one notable example is, you know, like Klaus Stryke from Final Fantasy, you know.
04:58He was originally going to be the guest character, the console exclusive guest character
05:02for the PlayStation 2 version of Soul Convert 2.
05:05But, unfortunately, I guess, Namco and Square Enix, they couldn't come to, like, some kind of agreement.
05:12Or something like...
05:13From what we heard, it was going to happen, but at the last minute, it didn't happen because of licensing
05:21or something.
05:23I guess that we heard that maybe it was a licensing disagreement, that's why Klaus didn't get in.
05:26So, and we never got Klaus in Soul Convert 2, but instead, we got Heihachi instead.
05:33It's kind of a bummer.
05:34I think Klaus would have been a fun character to see in Soul Convert 2.
05:38Yeah.
05:40So, yeah, that's kind of an example of sometimes licensing things don't always work out well.
05:50But I do want to know that the fact that Kensero, since he's not available for the game, but I'm
05:57wondering how long will he be available.
05:59Because there could be a chance that he could be delisted as DLC.
06:04If, like, if the license for him expires and, you know, or if, you know, or let's say, like, SNK
06:15and Shweza or SNK and Shonen Jump.
06:17They can't come to terms or something.
06:19They have, like, a disagreement or something.
06:21And then they, Shweza, Shonen Jump, they decide to just pull Kensero for the game.
06:26Say, you can't use Kensero anymore.
06:28You know, something like that.
06:29Like, you guys remember that whole fiasco that happened back in 2019 when, after Spider-Man Far From Home came
06:36out, you know, Disney and Sony were having disagreements.
06:39And because of that, Sony pretty much just pulled Spider-Man out of the MCU, you know.
06:45So, that's another example of licensing disagreements, you know.
06:50And also the fact is, this is just me, but from what I think, I think anime characters are probably
06:55difficult to license, you know, compared to video game characters, you know.
07:01At least that's what I think, you know.
07:04I mean, because anime characters, I mean, sure, they're probably available, but how long will they be available for, you
07:08know.
07:09And I think I hear that, you know, licensing the anime characters to appearance against characters in the game isn't
07:15easy compared to video game characters, you know.
07:19So, Kensero, he'll probably be available for how long will he be available for, like, permanently or a couple years.
07:28Now, Kensero, since I Kensero's DLC, I don't think the game will get delisted or anything.
07:37Because Kensero, since he's DLC, you know, only he'll probably get delisted.
07:42And, you know, the game itself will probably still be available and you can still purchase it digitally.
07:46Because, here's the thing.
07:49Socomber 4.
07:51Socomber 4, the Star Wars characters were basically the reason why that game pretty much got delisted from digital stores.
07:57Because Namco lost the Star Wars license.
08:05So, basically, because they lost the Star Wars license, you know, they weren't able to continue having Socomber 4 on
08:13digital platforms.
08:14And, you know, this is also probably another reason why Socomber 4 has not seen a re-release, you know.
08:22Because it has the Star Wars characters.
08:23So, but I think in order for Bandai Namco to re-release Socomber 4 in the near future, you know.
08:32They will have to make a negotiation with Disney, Disney who owns Star Wars.
08:39And maybe making a deal to try to release, you know, you know, Socomber 4.
08:49Because, I mean, sure, they can release Socomber 4 if they want to.
08:52But, you know, but you want to.
08:57But, you know, because I Socomber 4 has the Star Wars characters, you know, that could lead to a legal
09:02issue.
09:02Because, you know, they will probably get permission from Disney, you know.
09:07Because Disney owns Star Wars.
09:09And, heck, you know, but because the Star Wars characters were already on the base roster of Socomber 4.
09:16For Vader for PS3 and Yoda for the 360, depending on which reason you got.
09:22And each character were made DLC for these different consoles.
09:26Vader, DLC for the 360.
09:29And Yoda, DLC for the PS3.
09:33I used to own the PS3.
09:35I unfortunately never got to download Yoda.
09:38But aside from Vader and Yoda, Darth Vader and Yoda, there was also the Apprentice as well.
09:44So, that's basically three Star Wars characters.
09:49You know, yeah, I never got to get Yoda on the PS3 version of Socomber 4 when I used to
09:53own them on the PS3 years ago.
09:55That's a bummer.
09:57I mean, because of the Star Wars characters were already available on the base roster, they had to delist the
10:02game.
10:02Because the game has Star Wars elements in it.
10:05If the Star Wars characters were DLC, then only the DLC would probably get delisted.
10:09And the game would still be available on digital stores, you know.
10:11And so, Necone probably wouldn't have had any issue releasing the game, you know.
10:18You know.
10:21But, you know, so...
10:24You know.
10:25And also, do you guys remember that Daryl Live, that collaboration that Daryl Live did with Attack on Titan,
10:32where Daryl Live 5 last round, or the original Daryl Live 5, I think it was Daryl Live 5 last
10:39round,
10:41where there was, like, they did a cloud race with Attack on Titan,
10:44where you can get, like, Attack on Titan outfits for the characters.
10:49And there was an Attack on Titan stage, you know.
10:52And it had, like, you're right on this platform, and one of the Titans is watching from the back.
10:58It is appearing in the background, watching the match, you know, or just looking around, you know.
11:02And I think it's like a safe, I don't know.
11:05But, yeah, that was basically DLC for the game.
11:09And, unfortunately, apparently, later on, that got delisted from digital stores,
11:13and there's no way you can ever get that ever again.
11:16Now, if that was available on the game from day one, if it was never DLC, if it was available
11:21on the game,
11:22then, you know, Daryl Live 5, you know, last round, probably would have been delisted from digital stores.
11:29You see what I'm getting?
11:32So, I'm thinking that Ken Sherrill, I'm kind of wondering how long will he be available.
11:38Maybe he'll probably be available for, like, maybe a couple years.
11:41Because I assume that, you know, SNK will have to pay Shueza for the license to keep him available.
11:48You know?
11:49And, heck, speaking of which, also, Sonic Racing Crossroads is doing a collaboration with Eon Jillian, you know,
11:57where Eon Jillian is appearing as a stage.
12:01So, Sega will have to probably have to license, you know, the company that owns Eon Jillian.
12:09Yeah, Neon Jillian.
12:11I think I said Eon Jillian.
12:13So, Sega will have to pay the company that owns Neon Jillian.
12:16I don't know which company that is.
12:18You know?
12:19So, Sega will have to pay that company to order to do a collaboration with Neon Jillian, as well as
12:25Godzilla, as well.
12:26But I'm kind of wondering if, if this little club racing, how long will it be available.
12:32Because it might eventually be delisted because of, you know, again, licensing, you know, and stuff like that, you know.
12:39And anime licensing doesn't seem to be very easy, you know.
12:44Now, I did do a video talking about, a video, I think it's called,
12:48Why We'll Never See Anime Characters Appear As Guest Characters in Fighting Games, in Games, because,
12:55and in that video I go into detail talking about why, you know, like how, like how we'll never see
13:01characters like
13:01Ichigo Kurozaki from Bleach, you know, appear as a guest character in Soul Calibur, or Tanjiro from Demon Slayer, or
13:10Kenton from Moroni Kenton, you know, those type of characters, or even Gus from Berserk.
13:15Well, I will never see characters like those appear in Soul Calibur, or any characters like
13:19Goku from Dragon Ball appear as a guest character in Street Fighter.
13:22Well, I'll probably never see it.
13:24But, it seems like I am probably somewhat proven wrong in a way.
13:28Because, hey, we live in an era where almost anything is possible at this point, you know.
13:33You know.
13:34We live in an era where companies are willing to take risks, risks and dues, licensing, you know.
13:42I mean, Sonic Racing Crossroads is basically having guest characters from not only video game characters, but also
13:49other characters from other media, other properties, like cartoon characters, you know.
13:52We have Spongebob characters, you know.
13:56And, I guess, the Avatar characters are coming soon, you know.
14:00Avatar is anime-inspired, you know.
14:04But, I still think it's an American cartoon.
14:06But, just anime-inspired.
14:08And, we have the Ninja Turtles coming soon to the game.
14:10And, the Ninja Turtles are basically comic characters, so.
14:13Sonic, like, Sonic Racing Crossroads is going on above and beyond with its collaborations and crossovers, you know.
14:20Adding Godzilla and Neon Angelion has stages, you know.
14:24Sonic Rumble did some collaborations with our companies.
14:27And, the Sonic and DC collaboration is still going on, you know.
14:30I hope they adapt Sonic and Mega Man World's Collide comics into a video game series.
14:36That could be to Sonic and Mega Man, like, what Mario plus Rabbids are to Super Mario Brothers and Rabbids,
14:42or Raymond for a size, you know.
14:45So, that's pretty cool to see.
14:48So, we are seeing a lot of licensing, you know, coming out, you know.
14:53Now, I can't share really no.
14:55Him being in the game is pretty cool because, not only do we get to see him go up against
14:58Terry Bogart,
14:59or, and, or, and the other, or, and the other, or, and the other, or, or, or, or whatever the
15:06guy's name with the black suit on,
15:08or, or, and the other S&K characters, characters, you know.
15:12But, we also get to see him go up against Ken and Chun-Li, who are also guest characters in
15:16City of the Wolves as well.
15:18So, it's kind of cool.
15:20But, Ken's show did appear in that Street Fighter game, mobile game, I think.
15:25No, no, no, wait.
15:26I think, no, the Street Fighter games were guest characters in a Fist of the North Star game, you know,
15:33I think, you know.
15:35Yeah, mobile game, I think is what it was, yeah.
15:40So, yeah, you know, so, this isn't the first time, you know, we've seen Fist of the North Star and
15:45Street Fighter collaborate with each other, you know.
15:47Well, they're both clapping in, in, you know, an S&K game, a Fist of the Fury game, you know.
15:55So, yeah, you know, it's pretty interesting, you know.
15:58But, I am kind of wondering, you know.
16:01Now, also, I want you guys to know something.
16:03Now, this was a video that I was planning to do, I was planning to do for a while.
16:08When Ken's show was rumored to come to the game, I was going to make a video,
16:13a video recording, like me recording, or also gameplay we're playing,
16:18of me, of me talking about how long will Ken's show, if Ken's show does come to the game,
16:23how long will he be available.
16:24And I didn't record audio for that, but unfortunately,
16:28when I started to record and, like, finalize and put the audio, make the audio official,
16:33so, like, you know, like, you know, like, you know, like, I've done editing it and such,
16:39you know, unfortunately, the audio came out bad, really bad, you know.
16:43It was like everything was going too fast, like, I was talking too fast or something,
16:47you know, and it felt like there was, like, bits and pieces where, like, just, like,
16:51you know, it was just, like, interrupting or something, like, you know,
16:54everything was just going way too fast.
16:56And I decided to end up just deleting it, and I decided, you know what,
17:00I'll just make, I'll just film a video, like, something like this, you know.
17:05So it's kind of bad that that didn't turn out well.
17:08You know, Ken Cyril, you know, I am going to get the game to try him out,
17:14to see how he, how he, how he plays, and it's kind of cool, you know,
17:19that he isn't, he isn't the game, but I am kind of wondering how long will he be available.
17:24That's pretty much the thing.
17:26You know.
17:29I think I will, what else, what else do I want to say?
17:32I think I lost my train of thought.
17:37Well, you know, I don't know, but you guys let me know what you think.
17:42How do you guys feel about Ken Cyril, how do you guys feel about Ken Cyril being in the game,
17:46and how long do you guys think he will be available?
17:50Do you think he'll be available for, like, maybe a couple years or so, or maybe,
17:56a while, you know.
17:58Now, this is similar to a video I did do before, talking about, um, talking about, um,
18:06I'll talk about Sonic Racing Crossroads and how long the DLC will not be available,
18:10because, you know, characters like Spongebob, Ninja Turtles, oh, Ninja Turtles and Avatar,
18:16they haven't been available yet, but when they come out, other characters like Spongebob,
18:20Mega Man, Pac-Man, Minecraft, uh, the Ninja Turtles and Avatar characters when they come,
18:27you know, and possibly others, you know.
18:29How long will those DLC be available, because eventually, because, you know,
18:35the licensing for those will probably expire, unless the Sega were to renew, you know.
18:40Sega basically had to make, you know, have to make a deal with Nickelodeon, you know, Capcom,
18:48um, uh, Microsoft, Namcom, and then, you know, in order to put these characters in the game,
18:57so, you know, so, you know, those characters might be affected, there might be a chance
19:02that those characters will get delisted from the game.
19:07So, and also, now, the Sega characters, like, you know, Knight, uh, Summer Omega when he comes
19:14to the game, uh, Joker, I.I., you know, Knight's I.I., Joker, uh, Summer Omega, uh, Axel from
19:24Crazy Taxi, Summer Omega, and Axel, when they come, when it comes to the game, you know,
19:29so, R.L., that girl with, uh, Bonnetail, you know, the Sega characters, they're pretty much
19:33fine, because Sega owns those characters, and those, and those characters were made for DLC,
19:38so, but unlike the characters, like, you know, Spongebob characters and others,
19:44uh, third-party characters, those who are paid DLC, and, you know, how, we even wonder
19:49how long the DLC for those will be available, you know?
19:55But, you know, overall, you guys let me know what you think.
19:58Do you think CanSher will be available for a lot longer, you know, how long you think
20:06it will be available, maybe for a couple years or something?
20:09Well, you guys let me know what you think.
20:12So, yeah, I'll see you guys later, this is Conrad64, sign out.
20:15Uh, peace out, guys, feel free to like, share, subscribe, and all that jazz, a lot more videos
20:19coming out in the future.
20:20Peace out, everyone, take it easy.
20:23You are already dead.
20:25YAH!
20:28Also, one, one more thing I forgot to mention is that, um, uh, Jump Force, you know, another
20:33game that Ken Shiro was in, which was the last game we saw him in, you know?
20:37So, Ken Shiro, you know, he, you know, you know, Jump Force, you know, another game that
20:45got delisted because of licensing issues, because, you know, they lost the license to
20:49one of the Shonen Jump franchises, you know?
20:51And we were hearing that it was Dragon Quest, the Avengers would die, and that Square Enix
20:56and Nanco could have come to an agreement or something, you know, or something, uh, or Nanco
21:01didn't want to renew the license for the game, you know?
21:06And also, another thing, uh, so yeah, that's also another example of licensing.
21:13And also, another thing, yeah, I remember what I wanted to say earlier, before I lost my train
21:17of thought, is that, you know, it's interesting how they got Ken Shiro in the game, and Ken
21:20Shiro, he's pretty much an obscure character, you know?
21:25Well, because Fist of the North Star is kind of a franchise that's kind of nice, you know,
21:29pretty obscure and, you know, lesser known, you know, not really known to, like, the mainstream
21:36pop culture audience, you know?
21:38So it's kind of interesting that they got that character in the game, you know?
21:42Makes me wonder if they're going to get other obscure or lesser known characters in the game.
21:46Do you think you've scared your MSC for your Hawker show has a chance to get into City of
21:51the Wolves?
21:52You let me know.
21:53Well, that's what I want to say.
21:55Later, guys.
