00:00Because Conor versus Max was a dud.
00:12The fight sucked.
00:14There's no other way around it.
00:15The lead up, the hype, the build up.
00:18At least nobody paid $79.99 for it.
00:22The card itself was tremendous.
00:25There were eight first-round stoppages throughout that entire card.
00:31Patti Pimlet had an incredible submission in the first round after an unbelievable walkout.
00:36The whole card delivered for International Fight Week as to what you would like.
00:42And the folks who were involved with the UFC are very much trying to push that narrative.
00:48Because that is a gigantic deal.
00:51Because what happened in the main event ended Conor McGregor's career as a premier, top-of-the-bill UFC fighter.
01:02His MMA career ended on Saturday night with another injury of catastrophic nature.
01:10Now, we're arguing, is it an ACL?
01:13Is it a meniscus?
01:14What is it?
01:16What was the knee injury for Conor McGregor?
01:18It doesn't matter what the injury is.
01:21He has to have surgery.
01:23And the surgery will take him out four, five, six, seven months.
01:28Whatever it might be.
01:29And during those months, Conor, who has openly said that he is going through hell,
01:35you have to be really concerned about his future.
01:40Quote, I am beyond dark here.
01:43It's hell.
01:44This is a guy who has dealt with drug abuse and alcohol abuse and all sorts of demons.
01:52And he goes down 69 seconds, blows out the knee.
01:56And the last two times we've seen Conor McGregor in the octagon against Dustin Poirier and Max Hollywood Holloway.
02:06In back-to-back fights, 21 and 26, Conor McGregor has left the octagon with a serious leg injury.
02:15It's a different leg this time.
02:17But did he fight on a bad leg?
02:20Did he go into the event already hurt?
02:23I don't know.
02:24I don't think it matters, to be quite honest.
02:27I know there's a lot of people who are trying to do the conspiracy theorist thing.
02:34And I'll put it up here in a second about all the different conspiracy theories that are running around as
02:38to whether or not Conor McGregor was healthy entering the octagon on Saturday night.
02:43And was there some type of fix in that Conor, because of the big bet, there was a $900,000
02:52bet that got reported that came in right before on Max Hollywood.
02:57All the way.
02:58Well, I keep calling Hollywood Max Holloway.
03:00There's this theory out there that because the number at certain books closed as high as minus 390, I thought
03:09it was 290.
03:10It actually was 390 as to some books in terms of all the money that came in late for Max
03:16late from the pros.
03:19And my problem with all of this, my problem with that is that people aren't paying attention to how gambling
03:26works or they don't know how gambling works.
03:30So here's the issue.
03:32The issue is if you were a professional gambler and you wanted to bet on Max, why were you betting
03:38early?
03:38There was no point in betting early.
03:41The public was going to bet Conor like the fight had already gone off and the McGregor money just kept
03:45on coming in and coming in and coming in.
03:46So as the McGregor money came in, you just watch that number come down.
03:50You wanted to get the lowest number as possible on Max.
03:53And it was at some point down to 210 or $2 at certain books.
03:58And then all the money came in on Max.
04:02And as it poured in, the number went up, went up, went up, went up all the way up to
04:07minus 390.
04:09That is basically what happens when you're going to see money on a favorite because the professionals were waiting for
04:16Max.
04:17They were waiting for that number on Holloway.
04:20And once they got it, then they hammered it and they hammered it big.
04:24And that drove the price straight through the roof before the fight went off.
04:28That there's no conspiracy with that.
04:31That is not somebody new.
04:33There's none of that.
04:34Okay.
04:35Nobody knew.
04:37It's just that betting on a guy after five years off with a serious leg injury was a stupid bet.
04:44I said it all week.
04:45I wanted Conor to win.
04:46I wanted to believe.
04:47You heard Joe Rogan during the broadcast say, I want to believe.
04:50I want to believe in aliens and Conor McGregor.
04:52I want to believe this guy actually can do something special again in the octagon.
04:57The fight world is better.
04:58The UFC is better when Conor is out there doing his thing.
05:02But betting on Conor was a dumb idea.
05:05That was ridiculous.
05:07Five years out of the octagon, the guy was not the same fighter.
05:13His pre-fight body language was awful.
