00:06:10this has been a good productive lineup so far this year currently ranking among

00:06:20and in an era of high strikeouts and big swings increasing contact makes them dangerous we'll see
00:06:28if this pitcher can get some support from the defense
00:06:30hesson kim stands in with two away as he takes a ball
00:06:37ds at second lux on at first with two down
00:06:42swing and a miss and that one missed by a ton though i know they've gotten out to an early
00:06:47lead
00:06:48but you don't want to take these opportunities for granted with two outs still lock in with
00:06:52a quality at bat driving that run you may not have another runner in scoring position the rest of
00:06:57this ball game that's a strike getting inches closer to getting out of the jam
00:07:07got him swinging for the strikeout good job at damage control right there
00:07:12but two runs for him and they jump ahead bottom half of inning number one coming up
00:07:17it's the rays two and the orioles nothing it's an al east matchup

00:07:29true rasmussen singing he's kind of a road warrior yeah i definitely say so you know some guys shrink
00:07:36a little bit on the road they're so used to just you know having the comforts of being at home

00:07:41having the fans behind them but this guy seems to thrive in adversity and being in some hostile
00:07:47environment so when you have a player like this on your team that goes out there and competes you
00:07:52definitely like your chances away from your home ballpark pitches in the dirt three balls those strikes

00:08:13and that one finds its way through and the lead off man aboard
00:08:20couldn't have timed it up any better than that i know there's a ground ball but it was absolutely
00:08:24hammered through the infield that's not one you're excited to get in front of if you're an infielder
00:08:29you know they used to say charge it crazy and now gunner henderson
00:08:44that catches the corner
00:08:52swing and a drive deep right field carrying well
00:08:58to the warning track makes the catch
00:09:05all right let's take a look at the orioles lineup now
00:09:08the home run a big part of the equation when it comes to this offense singing
00:09:12they're one of the better clubs in the league in terms of putting runs up via the homer
00:09:16yeah and that makes them even more dangerous because they're going to get their hits but
00:09:20they're also going to get those home runs and have runners on base which is multiple runs
00:09:25out of one swing so yeah you really have to try to manage a team like this and keep them
00:09:30contained you
00:09:30can't give up extra outs whether that be via an error or a walk simpson has a bead on it
00:09:37brings it in
00:09:48so here's the cleanup hitter colton couser he really needs to start making more contact striking out
00:09:56nearly twice in each of the last five games
00:10:09the 0-1 hit hard but foul off to the left
00:10:25popped up foul territory behind the plate and that is the third out of the
00:10:32inning one left for the Orioles they trail things here to nothing
00:10:48second inning set to go and now the catcher for the Rays Hunter Faduccia
00:11:01saying he wasn't very sharp in the first got hit around a little bit just wasn't able to locate
00:11:06particularly well a lot of stuff for the fat part of the plate yeah but he wasn't fooling anyone
00:11:10it's a tough place to be because it's not always obvious what adjustments need to be made sometimes
00:11:15it's location sometimes it's being too predictable sometimes you're tipping your pitches he's gonna
00:11:20need to figure it out quickly though toss to Alonzo leadoff man retired here in the second
00:11:37out towards right center field Tavares on his way over out number two
00:11:46up next for Tampa Bay center fielder Chandler Simpson so the Rays batting order turns over
00:11:53Chandler Simpson the next to hit scored the first one of the game back in the first after a single
00:11:58to reach base
00:12:00and that's outside and that is ball one Chris he's currently the team leader in stolen bases

00:13:07there's a hitter when you're down in the count you're so focused on a pitcher painting the black and
00:13:13you just get a little bit locked up on something down the heart of the plate not expecting it and
00:13:18it just kind of freezes you
