28:22That's where shooters can do a lot of damage.
28:24But the goaltender tracks it beautifully.
28:28St. Petersburg.
28:29He's got possession along the boards.
28:32And that's moved quickly to Smith.
28:35Kicked off.
28:37Torotenko!
28:38Oh, what a save!
28:40He lifts the stick and takes possession.
28:43Nice play.
28:46And we approach the one-minute-to-go call in the second period here.
28:50Lots of pressure in the zone.
28:51And the goalie finally covers it up to get a whistle.
28:56Late in the period now.
28:58You can feel the energy in this crowd.
29:00It's a tie game.
29:02St. Louis wins the draw.
29:04They get the puck.
29:04They're looking to go.
29:06The whistle blows.
29:07Gets the stoppage.
29:08And he'll take the faceoff.
29:12And here come the center iceman.
29:14Bucket to bucket.
29:15Eyeball to eyeball.
29:16For this faceoff.
29:20Offensive zone faceoff is won.
29:24Slaps it!
29:24Turn to jump it!
29:45You can see what the goaltender is trying to do on this play.
29:48Get down.
29:48Get set.
29:49And take away as much net as possible in the butterfly.
29:52But with that traffic in front, he never gets a clean look at it.
29:55And the shot beats him through the screen.
30:09St. Louis with the key goal here in the second period.
30:12They have the lead.
30:14They can dictate the terms the rest of the way.
30:21Neutral zone draw one.
30:22And the puck is theirs.
30:25Dumps the puck in deep.
30:28Thomas.
30:29And he shuts the door.
30:31That's grabbed by D'Angelo.
30:37Picks up the puck and the pressure continues.
30:41We snap it!
30:42Save as time flies down.
30:45Save!
30:47And there's the horn.
30:49And after 40 minutes, we have a good one cooking here.
30:53Stay right where you are.
30:55Intermission Entertainment on the way.
30:57We'll be back right after this.
30:59We'll be back right after 40 minutes.
31:04We'll be back.
33:34Crest short pass to Benoit.
33:36Puck cradled by Hustodinov.
33:39Broken up.
33:40Good read.
33:40And that's not decided.
33:44St. Petersburg's got the puck now.
33:46Looking to bring it up the ice.
33:48Can't quite connect there.
33:51Takes the puck now with the ozone.
33:53And that hits the paddle.
33:56The Blues have it now.
33:58Good night again.
34:00That is some kind of response from the goaltender.
34:03Coming up with consecutive saves and holding things together.
34:06Scored.
34:28You can see how one little error defensively becomes a massive problem in no time at all.
34:32That's why these replays sting so much.
34:34It's a preventable mistake.
34:35And instead of getting out of trouble, it's in the net.
34:53St. Louis with an excellent start to open up the third period.
34:57They get the big goal to now have a two-goal cushion.
35:01Faceoff one.
35:02And they take control of the puck.
35:04And now he passes it over to McMichael.
35:08Can't quite connect on that pass.
35:13St. Louis takes over on possession.

35:19Sends the pass up.
35:20And here they come.
35:22Feeds it across.
35:23Big save there.
35:26Soto Blum.
35:26It's been excellent tonight.
35:28I mean, just look at that save percentage.
35:29It's tremendous.
35:30He's given the team a chance.
35:32But they need to do a whole lot more in front of him to turn this around.
35:35And that pass goes astray.
35:37And the puck is covered up.
35:39The whistle blows.
35:40And we'll get a break here until our next faceoff.
35:44Soto Blum's been dialed in all game long.
35:46Just making the timely big save when he's had to.
35:49And that's such a lift for your group.
35:51Because when your goaltender comes up with those key stops, it settles everybody down.
35:55That calmness lets you defend a little better.
35:57You play with more confidence.
35:58And it can really swing momentum in your favor.
36:05Still early in this one.
36:06That's a pair separating these teams.
36:10The Blues win the faceoff.
36:12And they have the puck now.
36:15Broken up on the pro check by Tucker.
36:17Off the glove and out.
36:22Butch Nebic has been threatening all night.
36:24And that's what I really like about his compete level.
36:26Chance after chance, he just stayed with it.
36:29He didn't get off his game.
36:30Didn't get discouraged.
36:31Kept getting himself into those good areas.
36:33And eventually when you do that often enough, you're going to get rewarded.
36:48St. Louis, even with the lead here in the third period, staying aggressive.
36:53Getting shots on goal.
36:54In fact, they lead in that department as well.
36:58The faceoff is won.
36:59And they take possession.
37:02Play is stopped.
37:04We'll regroup.
37:05And get ready for another faceoff.
37:09Early in the opening frame.
37:123-1 after the last tally.
37:18St. Louis wins the important defensive zone draw.
37:21And here they go.
37:22Quick take-to-take to Fowler.
37:25Fowler.
37:27Holloway.
37:28Down low.
37:29Quick reflexes there.
37:31What a save.
37:32Soderblom has made a tremendous save on a dangerous look from the slot.
37:36Got to be sharp on that one to be able to react in time.
37:38St. Louis picks it up along the board.
37:41And that snugs up to Broberg.
37:44And now it's over to Holloway.
37:48Snuggering.
37:49Oh!
37:50Score!
37:50Score!
37:51No!
37:52Immediately waved off by the referee.
37:54It'll be no goal.

38:41Sends it up now.
38:43Save!
38:45Leads it over to Mabers.
38:51Berggrin.
38:51Just a bit wide.
38:54Puck taken behind the net.
38:55Picked off by Harris.
38:58Pass just out of reach.
39:00Quickly up to Torochenko.
39:02Uses the po-check there.
39:04That's a nice defensive play.
39:06St. Petersburg's got the puck back along the boards.
39:11Good stop by Bennington.
39:15Sends it now down below the goal line.
39:17And there it goes now to D'Angelo.

39:25Arm in the air.
39:26There's a delayed penalty coming.
39:28Missile blows!
39:30Player to the box.
39:31The obvious penalty coming up.
39:34Yeah, that's interference all day long.
39:36He's trying to slow his opponent up just enough for his team to get there first.
39:39But he holds that lane and takes away the forward progress.
39:42So off he goes.
39:48The Blues, as we're about to face off with another power play opportunity.
39:55Offensive zone, face off one.
39:59Thomas.
40:01Shot!

40:28Nice read by Hallander.
40:30And that's taken by McMichael.
40:32Whistle blows.
40:33Offside is the call.
40:34And the face off will come outside the zone.
40:43So players back in position here and the power play will resume.
40:51St. Petersburg's won the draw and play continues here.
40:55Nicely up to Lorentz.
41:03And he shuts down the one-timer.

42:20Big face off here in the offensive zone.
42:22And they're looking to win it.
42:24And fire one on a tired goalie.
42:26Yeah, after all that zone time, this is where you want to clean win, Gucci.
42:30And get it there quickly.

49:06There's the horn!
49:08Ending this one.
49:09That's a final.
49:11You never like to have it end, but this was one of those nights where the result stings.
49:15And the effort still gives you something to build on.
49:18That's exactly it.
49:19In a game this tight, a bounce here or a play there can be the difference.
49:23And I thought they stayed with it right to the end.
49:25Well, another exciting night of hockey is in the books.
49:28So glad to bring it to you.
49:30For Darren Pang and everybody at EA Sports, I'm John Butchergrass.
49:34We will see you next time at the ring.
50:02We'll see you next time at the ring.
