ಉತ್ತರ ಪ್ರದೇಶ ಮುಖ್ಯಮಂತ್ರಿ ಯೋಗಿ ಆದಿತ್ಯನಾಥ್ ಅವರು ರಾಹುಲ್ ಗಾಂಧಿ ಅವರ ಹೇಳಿಕೆಗಳನ್ನು ಉಲ್ಲೇಖಿಸಿ ತೀವ್ರ ವಾಗ್ದಾಳಿ ನಡೆಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಮನುಸ್ಮೃತಿ, ಶ್ರೀರಾಮ, ಭಾರತದ ಪರಂಪರೆ ಹಾಗೂ ದೇಶದ ಸಾಂವಿಧಾನಿಕ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಗಳ ಕುರಿತು ರಾಹುಲ್ ಗಾಂಧಿ ಅವರ ನಿಲುವನ್ನು ಯೋಗಿ ಪ್ರಶ್ನಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
ಪ್ರಧಾನಮಂತ್ರಿಯವರ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಅವಹೇಳನಕಾರಿ ಹೇಳಿಕೆ ನೀಡುವುದು ಕೇವಲ ಒಬ್ಬ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿಯನ್ನು ಅವಮಾನಿಸುವುದಲ್ಲ, ಭಾರತದ ಒಂದು ಸಾಂವಿಧಾನಿಕ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯನ್ನು ಅವಮಾನಿಸಿದಂತೆ ಎಂದು ಯೋಗಿ ಹೇಳಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಇಂತಹ ಬೇಜವಾಬ್ದಾರಿಯುತ ವರ್ತನೆಯನ್ನು ವಿರೋಧ ಪಕ್ಷದ ನಾಯಕರು ತಪ್ಪಿಸಬೇಕು ಎಂದು ಅವರು ಆಗ್ರಹಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has launched a sharp attack on Congress leader and Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi over his remarks concerning Manusmriti, Lord Ram, Indian traditions and constitutional institutions.Yogi said that while Rahul Gandhi may not be expected to deliver much as an individual, his position as Leader of Opposition carries responsibility towards Indian democracy and the Constitution. He also argued that insulting the Prime Minister amounts to insulting an institution of India, and urged Rahul Gandhi to refrain from what he called irresponsible behaviour.
