00:00Hi guys, so we've run into Hare Krishna, Hare Krishna monks, and what do you do here along the Espelah?
00:09Because I've heard you doing the music and...
00:11So what we do, we do a practice called Mantra Meditation.
00:14It's basically chanting the Maha Mantra, which is a 16-syllable mantra we chant.
00:19It's to help you free the mind, it goes beyond the false ego and the mind.
00:23This day and age, everyone's confused and they're very, you know, stuck in the mental platform.
00:28Oh, aren't they?
00:29And there's a lot of suffering going on, even at a place like this, where the beautiful beach, you know?
00:33There is, there really is anxiety and lack of sleep.
00:37And in fact, one person said to me, a doctor actually, said that meditation can actually try and, you know,
00:45help with lack of sleep and that sort of stuff.
00:47Yeah, it helps with lack of sleep, depression, anxiety, all these sort of things that everyone's dealing with in this
00:52world.
00:53Yeah.
00:53So we come out, we chant this Maha Mantra, which we will do together.
00:58And this is something to help free the mind.
01:00Mantra means actually to free the mind.
01:02That's what the word means.
01:03It's a Sanskrit word.
01:04So yeah, the Hare Krishna Mantra is the most powerful mantra for this age.
01:07It's the most perfect form of meditation.
01:09So we want to share that with others.
01:11So we come on the streets.
01:12We get people chanting in a very fun way.
01:14And we also distribute transcendental knowledge as well.
01:17So people can learn a bit more about meditation and bhakti yoga.
01:20Oh, that's fantastic.
01:22That's what I love it.
01:23I really love it.
01:24Is this your name?
01:25Sevi.
01:26Sevi.
01:26Sevi.

01:26I'm Lucas.
01:27And this is Tao Garanga.
01:28We have a few more monks around here.

02:34I actually really did feel better chanting that.
02:37It puts a smile on your face and it frees you up.
02:40There you go.
02:41You get the direct experience of how it works
02:43and you do it more and more
02:44and you get more of a deeper taste for the practice like that.
02:48Thank you so very much for sharing and for helping us.
02:52That's why they say chant and be happy.
02:55I love it.
02:56George Harrison and John Lennon used to do this.
02:58So this book is a bit about their experience
03:00with the chanting of the Hare Krishna mantra.
03:02And the main teaching is coming from the Bhagavad Gita
03:04as it is by His Divine Grace Srila Prabhupada.
03:08Swami for this age.
03:09Thank you so very much.
03:11Hare Krishna.
03:12Hare Krishna.
