00:00I think I want to start last year.
00:02It was a big, big win for you getting that first PGA Tour win,
00:06of course, at Eastlake for the Tour Championship.
00:09But I want to talk about the lead-up and the build-up,
00:11and I know it's been talked about a bunch.
00:13Of course, Travelers Championship and the FedEx St. Jude
00:16coming up so close and having the lead.
00:19And so I just want to kind of get in the mind of Tommy
00:21and what it felt like heading into those Sunday rounds
00:25because I know what it's like to have leads.
00:27And when you get out of the course those Sundays,
00:29how quickly those days can run.
00:31Have you felt like over the past year on Sundays now
00:35that you're able to take lessons that you learned?
00:38Of course, it worked on that Sunday at the Tour Championship.
00:41But what were you feeling as an athlete on those Sundays?
00:47I mean, honestly, I think the majority of the time was...
00:49I think the biggest feeling would have been excitement
00:52every single time.
00:53I think, of course, there was always doubt.
00:58There was always nerves and all of that stuff that goes with it.
01:06But my overriding feeling was always excitement.
01:10It's another opportunity.
01:11And I said every single time,
01:14you're teeing off on Sunday in the exact situation
01:16that you wanted to be in when you arrived on Monday
01:20at whatever time you arrived.
01:21And you should cherish these opportunities.
01:25And so I did enjoy it.
01:28And I think particularly last year, throughout this period,
01:33there was a really special kind of atmosphere
01:37that was building every time that I was getting into contention.
01:41I think it was a really cool feeling to be a part of it.
01:48I felt like the support I got was just unbelievable.
01:52But there was definitely...
01:53It was an amazing atmosphere that everybody was so supportive.
02:01It felt like everybody kind of wanted it.
02:03But equally, nobody kind of knew what was going to happen
02:06because I was so unpredictable at what was going to go down.
02:10So it was cool.
02:13You know, kind of like Billy Horschel,
02:15who's kind of an adopted European a bit,
02:17when he goes over and plays the DP World Tour,
02:19he's kind of the favorite American,
02:21maybe because he plays over there a little bit more
02:23than some of the other Americans.
02:24But I feel like the American fans have adopted you.
02:28You know, we've had plenty of European players
02:31that have gotten into battles with Americans.
02:33And it's been very one-sided
02:35who the American crowd was cheering for.
02:38I feel like for you, Tommy,
02:40these fans will cheer for you over Americans.
02:42Like, they love you, man.
02:45Yeah, I am very lucky.
02:47I've always said that.

02:50Like, I've always seemed to, like,
02:52naturally make a really good connection with people.
02:55And, like, I...
02:58I've said it a few times.
02:59Like, for me, like, a lot of the times,
03:01I feel like when I'm playing,
03:03I try and put myself into this kind of bubble
03:06where you just focus on what you're doing.
03:07Like, my mindset is, like,
03:09I try to not get too up and down.
03:12I try to stay, like, very even.
03:14And then whatever's happened,
03:16I just try and, like, get myself to a place
03:18where I focus on the next shot.
03:19So then I feel like I don't give off much.
03:23But at the same time,
03:24I manage to, like, connect with people while doing it.
03:28And so, like, I'm very lucky that way.
03:32But, yeah, like, my support in America
03:34has always been great.
03:35I've always loved playing on the PGA Tour.
03:37I really, really have.
03:38I think it's...
03:40I think it's a great place to play.
03:41And I think you get to play some amazing golf courses
03:44with some amazing atmospheres.
03:45And, yeah, they've, you know,
03:46most of the time they have been on my side,
03:48which is nice.
