00:00Great series this week in Boston as the Mariners take on the Boston Red Sox.
00:05Tom, I saw the Red Sox play Miami this week.
00:08Very impressive because they don't hit a lot of home runs,
00:11but seemingly just push station to station.
00:14I mean, there's a lot, you know, the interesting part for Boston here,
00:17we can get into it.
00:18First, let's take a look at the matchups here.
00:19It's Toley, who is, you know, obviously having a great year.
00:22So is Sonny Gray.
00:23And then Patrick Sandoval will start on Wednesday.
00:25So naturally, advantage Red Sox.
00:27They'll be favored in all three games.
00:29But the interesting dynamic that seems to be happening with Boston,
00:32and I don't know how this is going to play out necessarily, Tom,
00:35is it seems like Boston is stalling a little bit with bringing back Roman Anthony
00:40and bringing back Trevor Story and maybe even Isaiah Kainer-Falefa
00:44because Boston's just playing so well,
00:46it's like they don't want to upset what's going on there.
00:49What do you make of this situation here?
00:51It feels like all three players are kind of like saying, hey, we're ready to go.
00:55Yeah, this is, we're seeing varying reports that, you know,
00:59the Red Sox, they could be activating them.
01:01Roman Anthony and Trevor Story, to your point,
01:03on the final game on Sunday for the series closeout with the Yankees.
01:07But it's like they're good.
01:09It's like you don't want to mess with a good thing.
01:11It's like, yeah, you have these talented players,
01:12especially with Roman Anthony and, you know, the level of prospect that he is.
01:16It's like he is good.
01:18Story can go through hot stretches.
01:19But if the team overall is hot right now and you're hitting,
01:22do you want to mess with a good thing?
01:24Because if you force them into the lineup and let's say they start off collectively,
01:28it's like, yeah, they're five of 50, you know,
01:30collectively between Anthony and Story in their first few games back.
01:34It's like they are a detriment to the lineup.
01:36Even though you believe in them long term, especially with Roman Anthony,
01:39if the team is hot right now and you need to pick up wins,
01:42it's a really, really tough decision for Chad Tracy to make.
