00:00and i developed an infection so i had a double mastectomy back in the beginning of
00:03july and recovery was going very very well until one morning i woke up and was dreadfully ill and
00:10i had this infection you know it could have come from a variety of sources but it was
00:15like it was just awful um so two weeks of antibiotics would not go away so they finally
00:22went in they had to just take everything out and clean everything out with saline and pack me with
00:30antibiotics and replace everything and um after a week of recovery from that second surgery
00:38i'm feeling so much better oh good yeah thank goodness yes it is you know like it's a scary
00:46thing like this whole this whole situation obviously has been very scary anytime someone
00:51is told they have cancer you're just kind of like how did this happen to me right um and why
00:58me and
00:59and all the things and you feel sorry for yourself and you go through this emotional
01:04time but then like when you hit another roadblock you're just like what like how much more can this
01:10like how much more could possibly happen right now you know um so yeah it was a lot and i've
01:16been
01:16kind of approaching everything with a sunshiny mindset because that's just what i do but when
01:21i don't feel well because it doesn't happen often i have a really hard time dealing with that also
01:26like i don't have bad days that often so when i do i'm like i crumble you know and also
01:31not to mention
01:32that you know you have these incredible doctors and this incredible team that's been working with you
01:36from day one and just quite frankly this was not part of their plan when they started with you on
01:42day
01:42one right this was a this was a contingency this was a thing that needed to happen but it wasn't
01:47necessarily ever a part of any sort of knowledge that you thought could happen and so you know it
01:53threw us off it threw you off and you would even mention like i might be back the surgery was
01:58on a
01:58tuesday you're like could be back thursday maybe friday and you know ultimately you listen to your
02:04body which is the number one thing and we've said that from the very beginning listen to your body and
02:07just let us know how we can help and we're just so glad that you're back today and like truly
02:13feeling
02:13like okay i'm good to be back like i'm ready to rock you know what i mean yeah i think
02:18for the first
02:18time you know maybe um in my life when my alarm went off this morning i was like i did
02:24like a check
02:25of myself and i was like i feel good like i'm actually getting up out of bed feeling good right
02:31now
02:31i'm glad the alarm went off i'm feeling good and let's continue with the day yeah so very excited
02:38about that i feel like it's today is a huge win and if you need to set a reason to

03:21into words and you know it's one thing to have a conversation with someone and get their reaction but
