00:00Well this staggering surge that you've seen in Australia in the polls of this One Nation Party
00:04going pretty much from nowhere to leading in some national polls and you can see an example of it
00:10there. The One Nation Party on 30% with Labour one point behind. This has now been followed up
00:17in actual by-election results because you've seen already Australia a huge backlash against
00:24the levels of immigration. You can see 64% of voters in Australia want lower immigration,
00:31just 8% wanting to see a small or large increase in numbers and it has led to this extraordinary
00:40surge for One Nation that has now seen a very dramatic by-election victory in a state parliament.
00:47This is a One Nation gain from Labour in the Western Australia parliament and you can see
00:56that follows up from the national polls that have shown the One Nation Party led by Pauline Hanson
01:03overtaking at Labour in some national polls and a big part of this is the issue of immigration.
01:10And you can see here just what a huge deal, really massive result this was in terms of Australian
01:18politics. This orange tsunami it's been described as of One Nation sort of sweeping Australia right
01:26now really is shaking up everything to the point there where you've got people actually warning
01:31One Nation as being dangerous. That's the sort of language you're hearing now from their opposition.
01:38But yeah, a quite unbelievable by-election results that shows you this One Nation surge is for real.
01:45But what I can say is the support that we got tonight and Barnaby was there with me and Malcolm
01:51Roberts and Sean Bell and my daughter, we all turned up there to support them. The support that we got
01:56One Nation was overwhelming, outstanding and people right across Australia and I was in Singleton and
02:03Dubbo and where I've gone. The people have had a gutful of this Albanese Labor government. They want
02:10them gone. You have no idea what the groundswell support is happening out there because they just
02:17have had a gutful. And this is a clear indication of what's happening of the 22% swing against the
02:24Labor Party in WA. They want change. People want change.
02:29How much though at a state by-election do you think Albert Easy was the primary reason why you've
02:35received the surge of support? Are there local factors as well that is driving rusted on Labor
02:40voters to decide they want to vote for One Nation? Well, this was a staunch Labor seat since 1989.
02:48So it's in Labor's hands for that long. The same is with Farrah as well. 77 years in the
02:54Labor Coalition held that seat. So both the major political parties are on the nose. The people
03:00are hurting. I mean extremely hurting. It's cost of living, everything. They're worried about the
03:05future, whether their kids can own a home. The cost of groceries has gone up. So you look
03:09at your staples have gone up around about 40, 45, even up to 50%. Your staples have gone up plus
03:15your insurance, everything that's gone up. So people can't afford it anymore. And you've got
03:20to blame. A lot of this is coming from the federal government. That's where these policies are coming
03:27from. Now, yes, there are some state issues in it, but I think the main hurt and pain is coming
03:33from
03:33the Albanese Labor government, Chris Bowen, and this climate change policies. Cost of electricity,
03:42it's the guts of everything. That's what's happening for that. And to hear the minister there over there
03:47who say, oh, well, we've introduced over 300,000 jobs. What a load of rubbish that is.
03:53The government doesn't introduce jobs. It is businesses that create jobs.
