00:01G1 Climax 33, B-Block, 20分, 1本勝負!岡田和親
00:09vs.吉橋!
00:17岡田和親 vs. G1 Climax 33, B-Block, 20分, 1本勝負!
00:40G1 Climax tournament is all about, and I understand what Walter is saying.
00:45Yoshihashi has tons of capital already with the fans. They love him!
00:50I thought KVD was all about friends you make along the way.
00:54And maybe Yoshihashi did make a friend along the way in Katsuchiko Okada.
00:59But you couldn't ask for more completely opposite, opposite personalities in professional wrestling.
01:08The stories, the history. One man, Kazuchiko Okada, track athlete, could have been an Olympian.
01:16If he'd have stayed through high school, wanted to be a pro wrestler.
01:19KVD flies himself to Toriomon, comes in the New Japan Dojo, where Yoshihashi was.
01:28Yoshihashi was told, well this kid Okada's coming in, and he's experienced this wrestler in Mexico.
01:35But you're the senior, you're his boss, he has to call you sir.
01:39Don't let Okada give you the runaround, they told Yoshihashi.
01:43Yoshihashi, who failed to get into the Dojo, time and time again, failed three times.
01:49Would have been out on his rear for a fourth and final time if two people hadn't quit.
01:56But he cuts in it, with that mind view, everything can change in an instant.
02:03And can everything change in an instant tonight?
02:06Can Yoshihashi, final, beat Katsuchiko Okada for the first time?
02:35In a scheduling, kind of, fluky sort of way.
02:39This is only their third singles meeting, since their infamous match, both returning from Excursion, at Wrestle Kingdom 6, way
02:49back in 2012.
02:51Can you think of that atmosphere there was around January the 4th, 2012?
02:56Both men making their return to Excursion, Yoshihashi from Mexico, Kazuchiko Okada, well, from the US and what is now
03:06Impact Wrestling.
03:07And I think a lot of people at the time, right, are thinking, well, as it is in Mexico, maybe
03:12a little bit harder to keep tabs on things.
03:15They were tracking Yoshihashi to be the biggest star, potentially, because, Okada, what, Okato from TNA?
03:22Yeah, right.
03:22And now look what happened.
03:26Kazuchiko Okada, the last boss of professional wrestling.
03:313-0 here tonight, as he has been, in the last 3G1s.
03:4027-2 post-excursion, and Corcoran hasn't been seen here in a decade.
03:47I'm the champion.
03:47The final climax, 31-32, the winner of the Nabi, Neva Musanaki, 6-200 champion, 191-100, 107 kilos,
03:583-0, Okada Kazuchiko.
04:04And according to our pal, Chris Sampson, it's Chris Sampson on Twitter, Sport For Wrestling.com.
04:09Okada is 13-0 lifetime.
04:11Young Lion match is all in
04:13Against our pal Yoshihashi
04:16Who we love and we have great respect for
04:19But
04:21He's not in Okada's league
04:23And that was the thing
04:27Okada had the experience edge
04:29As a professional wrestler
04:30But Yoshihashi more tenured
04:32In New Japan Pro Wrestling
04:34So when they came back together
04:36Yes there's no seniority once the bell rings
04:40But even Yoshihashi knew
04:42Yoshihashi was told
04:43Hey you're the guy
04:44You're the man
04:45He has to
04:46Okada has to do all the chores before you do
04:49But Yoshihashi knew
04:51Well Okada's the guy
04:52Yeah
04:53Everybody's known Okada's the guy
04:56Ultimo Dragon was telling people
04:58Hey this is the guy
04:59When he's 16 years old
05:01Oscar did you watch that Hikaleo match?
05:04You can learn a thing or two by watching Hikaleo
05:06And by watching Okada
05:07He's pretty good
05:08You've heard of him
05:09Oh you have
05:10Ok good thanks Oscar
05:1426-53 by the way was the time of the fall
05:17Their last G1 meeting back in 21
05:20Here at Cork and Hall
05:21What happens if it goes 26-53?
05:24Well it can't right Chris?
05:26Right exactly
05:27Maybe that's Yoshihashi's best hope
05:31Get a point
05:32Do something
05:35Yoshihashi's greatest hope
05:37I think is what you just heard
05:39It's
05:40Horikawa in Hall
05:41Cheering for Yoshihashi
05:42They love Okada as well
05:44But they want Yoshihashi
05:47To do the unthinkable
05:48And you kind of highlighted it in our preview show
05:50Is the fact that the crowd loves an underdog
05:53And is going to be in the corner of Yoshihashi
05:57Always has been
05:58Even through the darkest days
06:01When it was just a couple of hundred
06:03Yeah
06:04In this building that they were behind
06:05And living and dying
06:06On every single one of those never openweight six man championship matches
06:10Oh man
06:12And what way for Yoshihashi to
06:15Burrow the mean
06:17Yeah
06:17But to finish the story
06:18If Yoshihashi
06:20If he can
06:22In this building that's now sold out packed
06:25Jam packed
06:26Here in Cork and Hall
06:28If he could
06:29Wouldn't that be something
06:30That's why
06:31We love professional wrestling
06:39Go
06:39Go
06:39Okada lost
06:40Once
06:41Last year
06:41To Jonah
06:42Go go go go go go go
06:43The year before Okada lost
06:45Once
06:46In the G1
06:47To Tama Tango
06:50You think perhaps
06:51To run his losing quota
06:54For 2023 already
06:56With Brian Dannism
06:59And by the way
07:30Oh !
07:33Oh, look out, don't turn your back on him.
07:37And his best friend in this tournament has been the DDT on the floor.
07:41And again, Okada connects.
07:45They're teammates and great mates, but Yoshi Ashi's not going to pull back on that chop
07:49and Okada's not going to pull back on the DDT.
07:58Okada got his third win of the tournament over Taichi.
08:00The other night, Taichi had to be saying to himself, muttering to himself afterward,
08:05what the hell do I have to do to beat this guy?
08:09And the answer is, there's nothing.
08:11There is nothing you can do to beat Okada.
08:16You have to be at your dead level best.
08:22And you have to be willing to go through the pain of a broken arm.
08:25One, two, three, four.
08:30Here you are, Kazuchika Okada.
08:32You can see it on the countenance on the face of the Raymaker.
08:36The price you pay for that is an entire industry wanting to knock you off that pedestal.
08:43and an awful lot of the public that want to see it happen.
08:49Kazuchika Okada went to visit and we thank Manchester City for their hospitality.
08:56Went to see one of those games as Man City making a tour of Japan.
09:03And it is that same mentality, the franchise.
09:09Well, Red Shoes not going to let that fly.
09:12The unstoppable phenomenon that there are in sports.
09:16Quite a sight, an obvious distinction to have Kazuchika Okada a guest in Manchester City this week.
09:26Moncada is going to wind up owning a Premier League franchise where he's going to do whatever he wants to
09:33do.
09:33He's going to be the biggest sports star.
09:35He's going to go down in history like a Kobe Bryant and Magic Johnson.
09:39He's going to, you know, be at that level.
09:47A Tiger Woods.
09:48Just whatever franchise you want conquering all worlds.
09:54That's Kazuchika Okada.
09:55Leg is hooked.
10:01And that comes along with that.
10:143-0, right?
10:205-minutes fast.
10:30C'est parti !
11:00C'est parti !
11:10A heavy hand of Yoshihashi across the chest of the Rainmaker.
11:21Headhunter.
11:39Headhunter of Okada snaps back and now the neckbreaker.
11:43All right, so now the outside leg hooked.
11:46Okada able to kick out.
11:48Okada had some pain here.
11:56All-time 75-25-4 in this tournament is Okada.
12:01And 18-36, Yoshihashi.
12:09You always think about just what can happen in the tournament.
12:14What can happen in an instant, you think, Yoshihashi.
12:19A win over Kenny Omega in 16.
12:22Okada had all of his weight on his left leg.
12:24And Yoshihashi kicked at it.
12:26Yeah, you gotta go all the way back to 2016.
12:29And that miracle to start the G1 Climax tournament that year with the win over Kenny Omega.
12:34Oh, look out.
12:37Yoshihashi.
12:38This is what you need to do though.
12:40This is what you gotta do.
12:42I don't know what it is.
12:44Okada is hung out to dry.
12:46And we see this over the ropes at times, but.
12:52Here he comes.
12:53Full steam ahead.
12:59Yosihashi.
13:16Yes Yosihashi calculating his next move.
13:20We want to see if Okada is able to put some weight on that leg.
13:23OK.
14:10mais...
14:11...Yoshihashi a pas de trouver une manière
14:13à l'aise de l'aise,
14:14et il doit !
14:18Oh !
14:19Oh !
14:19Yes !
14:25Oh !
14:26Oh, man !
14:28No !
14:29No !
14:29No !
14:29No !
14:30No !
14:30No !
14:32No !
14:33Okada !
14:45Ah !
14:48Ah !
14:50Ah !
14:51Ah !
14:53Oh !
14:56C'est parti, c'est parti.

19:01C'est parti.
19:01C'est parti.
19:03Karma
19:20Rope break
19:22Force Yoshihashi
19:23To let go of his efforts towards Karma
19:24But Mikado was wide open
19:26And Yoshihashi drilled him
19:30Yoshihashi maybe another chop in the corner
19:32Okada
19:34He was coming
19:35Yep, that's the way he beat Taiji the other night
19:38And he, no
19:46Karma
19:46No
19:47Money clip
19:48Yes
19:50And you hear the anguished yell of this crowd
19:53Because they feel
19:57This is where the story ends for Yoshihashi
20:08Well over 1,300 maniacs here inside Cork and Hall
20:15Believing that this is not where the story ends
20:18Oh, he tried to duck and just got it in the face
20:28Still trying all he can
20:31To avoid certain disaster
20:33Now down to that knee, Kev
20:37It's getting ugly here
20:41Oh
20:44And with five minutes left in the time
20:49The landslide
20:50Oh
21:03And with five minutes left in the time
21:05Oh, man
21:06Karma
21:06No, wait, no, he rolled him up instead
21:08One, two, one
21:10Oh
21:11Everybody's looking
21:12Was it two?
21:13Was it three?
21:19Another one
21:20That's it, that's it
21:21A clever frozen out
21:29Oh
21:30Watch this
21:32Looking for the crucifix bomb
21:35Oh, denied
21:44He don't miss
21:47Your best is not good enough to beat Okada
22:13It's Michael Jordan, LeBron James, Tiger Woods, Tom Brady
22:20Has Chico Okada
22:24The GOAT
22:25The greatest of all time
22:39He's won 4G1s, including the last two
22:5114-0 lifetime against Yoshihashi
22:57I find it hard to think of anyone that can beat him in this tournament
23:05That can stop Kazuchika Okada
23:07That can stop Kazuchika Okada
23:08From getting a historic first time over three people
23:11To tie Masi Otono
23:14At five
23:17That's it
23:19That's it
23:20Will Ospreay
23:24Will Ospreay will give a Bryan Danielson-like effort to beat Kazuchika Okada on Thursday night
23:33But not even Bryan Danielson could do it in 20
23:36No
23:37No
23:38But
23:40Ospreay will
23:42He will give his life to beat Okada on Thursday
23:47That's how much the match means to Will Ospreay
23:50The reason why the building is going to be packed
23:53The reason why we anticipate record numbers of fans tuning in both live and after the fact
24:01To see Thursday night's event from the Oka City Ward Gymnasium, the ancestral home of New Japan for wrestling
24:09The main event will be Kazuchika Okada versus Will Ospreay in the G1 Climax 33
24:14Three
24:16Four
24:17C'est parti.
