00:06It must be a pretty good afternoon there.
00:08Yeah, it's good. I love playing football as well. It's good to be back with the boys.
00:12We set out to win the game, so I'm just thankful we got the win in the end and started
00:16to look up the table where we want to be.
00:18It was only a little mind and niggle you've had, but to get back quickly and get back at it
00:23is obviously pleasing.
00:24Yeah, I worked hard to get back because I was desperate to play and help the boys, so I just
00:29tried to get back as quickly as possible.
00:31And obviously it was a good win for the boys at Walsham on Saturday, so that makes it fact about
00:35wins.
00:35A real good sort of 6-point weekend that, isn't it?
00:38Yeah, absolutely. We had a bit of a slow start. We played well in those games at the start, but
00:43the results just didn't go our way.
00:44We just knew we had to upkeep the performance levels and then the results would come, so thankfully the results
00:49started to pick up.
00:51Just some thoughts on the game itself today generally and how it's all played out?
00:55Yeah, we knew they were going to be a good side. Torquay's always going to be up there challenging as
00:59they were last season.
01:01We set the gaffer set of game plan, catch them on the counter-attack, stopping mistakes and that's how the
01:07game panned out and we got the win.
01:09The team looked really solid throughout. Michael didn't have a lot to do. Torquay had a bit of the ball
01:14but didn't create much with it, did they?
01:16Yeah, we attack and defend as a team. That really showed today. Even in and out of possession, we were
01:22really aggressive.
01:23Didn't really allow them spaces to really hurt us. We just have to take that same mentality into every game
01:30that we have.
01:32Half-time at 0-0, it was a tight game, very much in the game. What was the message going
01:35into that second half?
01:38More of the same really. The management just has to tidy up in possession. When we get our chances, we've
01:45got to take them.
01:46That's the difference between the game and that's exactly how it panned out. Especially with the second goal, it kills
01:51the game.
01:53Strikers, Rack's done his job. He'll be delighted. Strikers love goals. It was a good bit of play from Billy
01:59and a lovely finish from Rack.
02:00Yeah, really happy for him because he works hard. The same as all the rest of the Strikers. We've got
02:05a really good group of players.
02:07So yeah, really happy for him. He deserves it and hopefully go back-to-back and he scores again in
02:11the next game.
02:12Yeah, so we get one and then the floodgates can open, can't they?
02:15And the first one, Dad's just put it in a good area, didn't he? You put it in a good
02:18area, ask the question and you never know, do you?
02:19That's it, yeah. We've got to just keep knocking at the door and then goals will come.
02:24As I said, we've got really creative players in the final third. For us, at the back and in the
02:29back thirds,
02:30we just need to get them in the ball in those positions and they can create as they did.
02:35You played such a key role last season in promotion, so you know all about the club and the momentum
02:39and the feel-good vibes are here, aren't they?
02:42Yeah, as I said, we've got a winning mentality at the club and we're not going to settle just to
02:47be in-and-round at mid-table, bottom-end.
02:49We want to be challenging at the top if we can. So, yeah, same mentality really as last season, even
02:55though, of course, the level is different, yeah.
02:58Good crowds here regularly anyway, but a real bumper crowd today. That must be what the players love that, you
03:02know, buzz off that, presumably.
03:04Yeah, like, we have to rise to the occasion and the same mentality really as every game, but, yeah, every
03:09player wants to play, like, you know, packed out, ground and, you know, give the fans, you know, something to
03:14cheer about.
03:15So hopefully we've done that today.
03:16So you've got that six-point weekend and now look forward to Hemel and Hempstead next Saturday.
03:20Yeah, we've got to recover well off the back of the two games, really intense and, yeah, look forward to
03:25the next one. Get ready.
