00:22Mr Hadley told the court Mr Jones tried to white-ant him
00:26after finding out that Mr Hadley had signed a $4 million secret contract to take over his breakfast show.
00:33He was targeting me because he thought I was disloyal.
00:37Mr Hadley has admitted to calling Alan Jones derogatory and offensive terms.
00:42Under re-examination today, Mr Hadley says his 2GB colleague could also be friendly.
00:48Our relationship was very complicated.
00:50Much of my success as a broadcaster was due to him.
00:53But he said we had stand-up brawls.
00:56He said he'd never work with me again.
00:58Ray Hadley also defended a 2019 text message where he said that Alan Jones should be destroyed,
01:04explaining it was after a complainant confided in him about Mr Jones' alleged assaults.
01:10Mr Hadley says he'd promised to stick by that complainant
01:13and that is why he came to court to give evidence.
01:16Obviously I've been released from evidence.
01:18I'm no longer on grave.
01:20But the case continues.
01:22Another colleague who's denied being at an event where one alleged assault occurred
01:26is due to give evidence tomorrow.
