00:08Hi friends, Jay from Sui Softies here. Today I'm going to be reviewing the Claw Lab tufting kit,
00:15H1. Quick disclaimer here, this is going to be my very first attempt at tufting. I'm a complete
00:22noob. I only learned about what tufting even was about two weeks ago. So you're gonna need to
00:29expect a complete disaster out of my performance, but this kit does claim to be very easy to use and
00:36beginner-friendly, so we're going to see how that holds up. Let's dive into it. By the way, as a
00:43side
00:43note, my voice sounds like this right now because I am currently recovering from losing my voice,
00:49and I tried to give it some vocal rest earlier, but it's starting to rasp again. So excuse me if
00:56my
00:56voice breaks, but I've got a deadline to work with, so here we go. Alright, let's take a look at
01:04the
01:04parts that we're working with here. Here are our pieces for the frame. Put together, it's very sturdy,
01:11well built, and nail free. No sharp edges. If you can build an IKEA chair, you can handle this. Alright,
01:18I will admit that my husband did everything for me, but he swears it was simple. You'll need to keep
01:24the
01:24fabric stretched tight. Here you see the frame is solid, ready to go. Lots of adjustable knobs to
01:31keep the fabric taut. And now here's a quick unboxing. I love that it comes in a case that is
01:39very portable and lightweight, easy to carry around. Everything has a spot. Here's the star of the show,
01:47the tufting gun, which is actually very lightweight. It weighs only 550 grams, which is less than a water
01:53bottle, so you won't have any store arms using it. Here's what you'll need for powering it up.
02:01And here are all the little accessories that you'll need to keep your gun functioning well,
02:07like oil, a little brush for getting dust out. You've even got the threaders, basically everything you need
02:14without last minute craft store runs. I really like the design of this gun. It has a protective case
02:23in the front so that you can put it away safely without damaging any of the important stuff. The
02:30on-off button is at the bottom here, easy to toggle, and it's got different speed settings
02:36and modes back here that you can just easily turn and adjust.
03:31So I messed up big time because I realized
03:36way late that my fabric was not stretched tightly enough, resulting in all this wonky stuff going on
03:43here. It's like I'm on a toddler's racetrack during an earthquake, but honestly, that's on me and not the gun.
03:52All right, friends, final verdict. So the Kuala tufting kit really does have it all. I love that it's such
04:01an
04:01inclusive set and you can get started tufting right away because it has all the fabric, the frame, the gun,
04:09accessories for the gun, whatever you need to get going. It even has yarn for you to use.
04:16Everything in one box. The only real challenge, as you can see from my video, was building your skills.
04:24So that, again, that's all on me and not the product.
04:28And if you're curious about tufting, I'm going to have to say that this is a really, really great kit
04:34to start with. It got me excited about tufting and I now know what mistakes I've made after I started.
04:43And I'm going to definitely try again. I'm really excited to finish my rug here. I'm planning to make
04:50a little play net for my kiddos. It's going to look like a beautiful landscape once I finish,
04:55fingers crossed, of meadows and trees and forests and water and it will be beautiful.
05:05I'm just gonna keep telling myself that as I work along. So definitely check out this tufting kit when
05:10you're ready to start on your tufting journey. Link is in the description box below. If you've got
05:16any tips for me, definitely drop them in the comments because I clearly need them. All right,
05:21thanks so much for watching you guys. Until next time, bye!
