00:00Bills and Texans, Sunday at 1 in Houston.
00:02Haven't heard enough, really, for my taste, yet from Bulldog on his hatred for the Houston coach.
00:09That really, that's another tradition that we need to return to.
00:13I'm going to have to dig in tonight, then.
00:14I haven't really thought about it.
00:16I kind of forgot about it.
00:17I've got to be honest, I kind of forgot about it.
00:19See, that's how you know it's not real.
00:21Because you don't forget about hate.
00:23No, that's right.
00:23It just comes out.
00:24You just know it's always there.
00:26You hate something or someone.
00:28You don't have to think about it.
00:29This guy, this guy is one of those tight shirt, look at my muscles, I could still play guys.
00:35Now we're talking.
00:36And I don't have a lot of time for that guy.
00:39It might work really well with the team.
00:41I mean, I'm not saying different.
00:42I mean, he's done a nice job there.
00:44Maybe even better than a nice job there.
00:46But, you know, you're in your 40s.
00:50Loosen the shirt up a little bit.
00:52All right.
00:52I think that's a fair question.
00:54A fair request, I should say.
00:56Anyway, Sal Capaccio with us now on the Western Hotline.
00:59Sal, do you care to help Bulldog or maybe try to fend him off here with any sort of reasons
01:04to dislike the Houston coach, D'Amico Ryans?
01:10What a place to start.
01:11I like D'Amico Ryans.
01:12Seems like a nice guy.
01:13You would!
01:14There goes that.
01:17You know, he's energetic.
01:21He's bald.
01:22You know what I mean?
01:22I like that.
01:24You can relate to this coach.
01:26I love that bald is the second thing.
01:28Tight shirts?
01:29What do you think?
01:31Are we going to say that too?
01:32Yeah, sure.
01:33He's fit.
01:34He's fit.
01:34He wants to show that he's still fit.
01:37You know, fit in.
01:38Nothing wrong with that.
01:39No, I guess if you got it, you should flaunt it.
01:41I should start to flaunt it.
01:43You know, I'm just shy about it.
01:46You know, I'm just a little bit bashful.
01:49So, Sal, we don't have an injury report as far as we know yet, but what did you see today?
01:54I guess Shakir is maybe good news and Ty Johnson isn't, or what?
02:00Yeah, I think that's the way it looks right now.
02:02Kalos Shakir was back at practice.
02:03We'll see if he's listed as limited when it comes out.
02:05Ultimately, it isn't out yet.
02:07And just so everybody knows, it was out by now last year,
02:10but the Bills are having a later practice.
02:12I mean, if you practice later, they're going to release the injury report later.
02:15There's no set time you have to have it out by just sometime during the day.
02:18That's why when the Bills play a team on the West Coast,
02:20we're generally waiting until later in the day
02:23because they practice later compared to where we are in our time zone.
02:27So, that's just going to be the deal this year.
02:29So, everybody understands that on Wednesdays and Thursdays,
02:32and then the game designations, which come out on Friday,
02:35which they will do a little earlier in the day, but we'll see where that goes.
02:38That being said, Kalos Shakir did return to practice today.
02:42Ty Johnson did not.
02:43Neither did Jordan Hancock today.
02:47Those were the two.
02:48Javon Solomon did.
02:50Jude Bowery did.
02:51So, get a few guys back today, but a couple notables that were not there.
02:55How much are you making of Joe Brady?
03:00It's a departure from how McDermott did it, which is fine.
03:02It's his choice.
03:03And I'll bet a lot of teams around the league have followed suit today
03:08leading up to Sunday, and maybe even these teams that are playing tonight
03:11and tomorrow have done the same thing, like sort of holding back.
03:13Like McDermott, the Wednesday news conference, and again, a lot of it's different.
03:16That was always in the morning because they practiced earlier in the day.
03:19But McDermott would mostly, I think, lead off those news conferences on Wednesdays
03:24with, all right, here's the list of guys who aren't participating today or whatever.
03:29This guy's going to be limited, that kind of thing.
03:31And Joe Brady punted on that, and I don't know, do you think, first of all,
03:37did he explain himself, and do you think that'll be something he'll do all year?
03:44We actually had a question in the media room.
03:48I'll say I turned to Josh Reed, who I sit next to in the media room, and I said,
03:53today is a day that we're going to find out about how Joe's going to treat injuries with us.
03:58Do you think he will come out and say, I'm not saying anything, we'll have the injury report later,
04:03or do you think he'll come out and he'll read us the list?
04:07I thought he would give us the list.
04:08He did not.
04:10I can't remember what Josh thought, but it was like, it's a thing.
04:13Like, you think about, like, everybody's going to do it different.
04:16And his explanation when he was asked about it was essentially teams around the league get clues by listening to
04:25these press conferences.
04:26So I'm not going to give any advantage.
04:28I'm paraphrasing what he said, which is true.
04:32That is definitely true.
04:33Like, I know for a fact that teams around the league, their PR departments have people scour everything they can
04:41from their opponents to listen to every interview,
04:44every coach interview, everything on the app, all those things to try to get any advantage they can about something
04:49someone's saying about a player, a scheme, anything.
04:52And injuries especially, no doubt.
04:54However, that said, when he says, I'm not going to, you know, say anything and, you know, we'll have it
05:00later, I'm thinking,
05:02but we're also going to be tweeting it out in about 30 minutes, right?
05:05I mean, like, we're going out there and we're going to tell people who's practicing and who isn't.
05:10And maybe he's just guarded against, I don't want to give too much because if I say something, it might
05:14reveal a little more, you know,
05:16maybe he's just kind of protecting himself against himself maybe in that situation.
05:20Hey, you guys can report who you see and who you don't see.
05:23And then after practice, you're going to get an injury report.
05:26So I don't know if he'll do it like that all year.
05:27We'll see how it goes.
05:29By the way, of course, a player not practicing doesn't mean he won't play.
05:34I mean, that's not necessarily, it's not a direct line necessarily.
05:37I mean, there usually would be, but, you know, just do that.
05:41If you're so obsessed with trying to hold back information, guys don't have to practice every day.
05:48I would just tell Brady, and I'm not hearing that he's done this, just don't lie.
05:52The Raiders coach three hours ago said he was expecting to have Bowers on Sunday.
06:00And then it was reported that he had an injury in camp that he had surgery on.
06:06And he's going to miss at least a game or two.
06:09And it sounds to most people like it's going to be more than that.
06:12Just don't lie, right?
06:13Wait, McDermott, Sal, didn't McDermott sort of come around to this?
06:17I mean, even, I remember being skeptical when he would do your Friday morning show that he was going to
06:24tell you who was going to miss the game.
06:25Then he kind of always did.
06:26You know, usually on that Friday hit, he would tell you who was out and you would have that first.
06:32You know, it would be on the air.
06:33So I'm not sure he was like that originally, but I think he kind of mellowed when it came to
06:38this stuff.
06:40Well, I think what happened in the NFL was that they cracked down on a lot of that.
06:45You know, when you say like lie, you mean like to the media and you're not talking about the injury
06:49report specifically, right?
06:50Right, right.
06:51Because that happened years ago.
06:54And there's been teams.
06:55And then you remember Bill Belichick would list everybody because he got in trouble for not listing guys like Tom
07:00Brady or whoever.
07:01So I think just to protect themselves from getting fined and getting either hands slapped by the league, coaches generally
07:08made sure that, you know, they were a little bit more buttoned up on that.
07:10When it comes to meeting with the media and when Sean would be on with me on Fridays, yeah, I
07:16think over the years he got a little bit more, you know, free about saying, okay, this is who I'm
07:21declaring out right now.
07:22And a lot of times he would say like, we're going to see how it goes.
07:25And he probably knew a little bit more, but he doesn't want to, the big thing with Sean was, and
07:29I think all coaches are like this.
07:30And I'm guessing Joe is going to be like this.
07:32You don't want to paint yourself into a corner because I get it.
07:36What happens is if you say we're going to, yeah, this guy is going to be limited today and you
07:41go out there and he's not out there.
07:44Suddenly it's like, well, why didn't you know that you're the head coach, right?
07:47And if you, there's just so much that goes along with having to answer for that, it's why they don't
07:52give timelines.
07:53And when we're talking about this conversation, we're talking about short-term, which is a day-to-day thing and
07:57long-term.
07:58And people say to me all the time, what's the timeline?
08:00What are they expecting to return?
08:01And Sean McDermott would say, I'm not giving you a timeline.
08:03I don't know the timeline.
08:04Even if he actually has a timeline, you know why?
08:07Because if he goes out there and he says, yeah, we think this guy's back in four weeks.
08:11If he's not back in four weeks, the coach has to answer for why he didn't give you the correct
08:15information
08:16or have everything available to the training staff or did the guy have a setback?
08:20And they don't want to deal with that.
08:21Well, that's all perfectly understandable and reasonable.
08:23And no one is going to think that a coach necessarily should even know the timeline because it's human beings.
08:29I mean, you're not going to even sometimes have an educated guess on that.
08:34But what this Raiders guy apparently did is talk in front of the media, basically deny that there was an
08:41injury.
08:42Didn't know about it.
08:43I mean, that's a problem.
08:45That's maybe a league problem, but it's also it breaks the trust, you know,
08:49and that's what Brady should not want to do with the likes of you guys is tell you one thing.
08:53If he doesn't know, then he doesn't know.
08:55And sometimes that's easy to believe.
08:56But if he's, you know, he's telling you that Brock Bowers is expected to play and then he's going to
09:01miss a month.
09:02So Kubiak did this?
09:03Yes.
09:05So, right.
09:06And that's bad.
09:07I guess I'm wondering, like, has he I'm not caught up on this story.
09:11I was heard I heard you say something about Brock Bowers.
09:13I got in the car.
09:13I'm like, wait, what's going on?
09:14So I'm not caught up in the story.
09:16So has he spoken since?
09:18Like, so what you're saying is he said I expected to beat him to be out.
09:21But there are reports saying that he's going to be out like nobody earlier.
09:25I'm sorry.
09:26He said I expect him to be at practice or expect to have him.
09:29Yeah, he was asked.
09:30Reports are saying he's out.
09:31He's not.
09:31This isn't confirmed by the team yet.
09:33Well, OK.
09:34But Schefter and Rappaport together had the name of the doctor, the exact surgery, when he was hurt.
09:40I was just curious.
09:41Yeah.
09:42But earlier in the day, the coach had said to the media and asked, we're expecting to have all our
09:47guys ready for Sunday.
09:48Where that's one where you could go, you know what?
09:50Brock Bowers had this, you know, this deal.
09:54And just like that doesn't look good on the coach.
09:57Clearly to me in that case, Mike, and clearly to me in that case, he's making the Miami Dolphins prepare
10:01differently on a Wednesday than they normally would.
10:03Fine, fine.
10:03You know what I mean, for that guy.
10:05And I agree with you.
10:06He shouldn't do that.
10:06No, that's wrong.
10:07Like, come on.
10:08What are we doing, right?
10:09Because every time he steps in front of a mic on a Wednesday to talk about the injury report now,
10:12he's going to be like, are you really telling us what's going on?
10:15Right.
10:15And that's what I mean about, we can move on, but that's what I mean about McDermott on Friday.
10:19Because the point that keeps getting made is that the coach doesn't have to tell you.
10:24And fans don't even really necessarily want him to because everybody sort of assumes that there's some strategic advantage into
10:31keeping it a secret.
10:32But what Sean would do is come on on Friday morning, like, no, this guy's not going to play.
10:35And he didn't have to do that.
10:37So I respected him for that is what I was saying about him.
10:41So what we have to work with here, then, is the two guys that didn't practice.
10:47And again, like Mike said, not to assume that they will miss the game, but Ty Johnson has been out.
10:53Sal, did he suffer that hamstring injury in the return to the blue and red?
10:56I think that was it.
10:58That was it.
10:59Yep.
11:00That was August 8th.
11:01Right.
11:01So, I mean...
11:02And we don't know.
11:03Like, it was never...
11:04I don't think it was ever specifically said hamstring.
11:06Like, we're all...
11:06I know the reports are, and we all assume that's the case of the team that's not.
11:08Well, we saw the footage of him running and falling.
11:10He got shot in the back of the thigh.
11:11And like, oh, okay.
11:13But yeah, we don't know.
11:13But here's why it's interesting, and I bring that up, Bulldog, because on today's injury report,
11:17they'll have to have an injury listed.
11:19Well, that's right.
11:20Right.
11:20So we'll find out if we're right about supposing that it was a hamstring.
11:23Correct.
11:24But where I'm going is, if he's out, like, this opponent especially, like, third down
11:32back, pass blocking in the backfield, like, that is a big part of Ty Johnson's value as
11:39the third down back.
11:40Sure, you want him to make plays in the passing game, but they trust him in that role.
11:44Josh Allen trusts him in that role.
11:46Joe Brady obviously trusts him in that role.
11:48If they don't have him, what do – is it Jackson Hawes?
11:53Is there more on Cook's plate?
11:55Like, what's going to happen?
12:02He's thinking.
12:04I guess so.
12:06I think you finally broke Sal.
12:07He really needs a minute on this one.
12:09He's got to go long on that, figuring out exactly who's going to be where.
12:14He's worried now with all this other talk he's being quoted.
12:18And he doesn't want to say a word out of place.
12:21Sal, we lost you for a minute, but I think we got your back.
12:24I trust you heard my question.
12:27I did.
12:27No Ty Johnson, what happens?
12:30Yeah, so I agree, and I think we talked about this a little bit yesterday.
12:33To me, both Kalushikir and Ty Johnson are very important to this game for the Buffalo Bills,
12:38and because of that very thing you're talking about, which is when you have such a nasty
12:42pass rush, and what we've seen from the Texans and what they've done to the Bills over
12:46the last couple of years, basically you want to make sure you can have an outlet to throw
12:50the ball, like quickly, and you can get the ball out to Kalushikir in this case, or Ty
12:55Johnson out of the backfield.
12:56He's a very good, you know, pass receiving back.
13:00But on top of that, he's a good pass blocking back.
13:03They call him the best third down back in the league.
13:04The Bills do, so you want him available, and when he's on the field as a third down back,
13:10you have to account for him as a defense.
13:13You can't just pin your ears back.
13:14You can say, look, if I go to the quarterback here, that guy might leak out behind me, and
13:18you know, so you can't do that.
13:20So he's a very important player for them.
13:22So if Ty Johnson is unavailable, I would expect them to elevate Frank Gore.
13:27Here's the problem, okay?
13:28Also, the one thing that kind of happened today was we asked, I asked Joe Brady specifically
13:33about punt returner, because you have D. Alford listed, and he mentioned, well, they're going
13:38to go through practice this week and find out who the punt returner is, and he's going
13:43to sit down with Jeff Rogers, and he talked about the 48, meaning who to elevate, who to
13:47activate on game day.
13:48Well, he mentioned D. Alford.
13:50He mentioned Ray Davis.
13:51He mentioned Kalushikir.
13:52He mentioned Keon Coleman.
13:53And the reason why Ty Johnson matters here is if you have to elevate Frank Gore, do you
13:58have room, then, to elevate Greg Dortch?
14:00And then, because if you're planning on Greg Dortch being your punt returner, then you're
14:04going to have to do that.
14:05But if that's the case, then, you know, what about at nickel corner, because you have Jordan
14:10Hancock, who's also out, and do you need to elevate to Corey Couch?
14:14Everything, to me, is kind of being based off if Ty Johnson is available or not, and if
14:19you have to elevate Frank Gore, if you want to have only two running backs here.
14:23We'll find out more later, probably.
14:26And then, as we go through the rest of the week, speaking of things that we did talk
14:31about yesterday, I still want to get another question in just about this matchup and this
14:37game.
14:37We had a caller earlier that I think speaks for maybe the majority of fans looking at
14:44it, or even us, which is like, I'm a little worried that this is like the wrong matchup
14:49for the Bills, and they've lost there, and you know, it's obviously a respectable team.
14:54And the Bills, you and I talk about this every week during the football season, just one
14:58reference to the point spread.
15:01And the Bills have been favored in this game the whole time.
15:04Not by much.
15:06It's a point and a half.
15:07So that should give anybody who's worried about it some degree of confidence.
15:12I mean, that's only a point and a half, but I don't know.
15:15So what do you think about how it's kind of like felt, your experience with the fan base
15:20or just, you know, your own conversations, this matchup?
15:24Well, I think fans will oftentimes don't maybe understand that, you know, the history doesn't
15:29matter when it comes to that, right?
15:31Like, yes, I know the betting public can influence the betting, and that might matter there, but
15:35Vegas isn't basing the point spread on what happened last year between the two teams.
15:42It's how they match up this year, and honestly, it's about Josh Allen.
15:45That's what it is.
15:45The Bills have Josh Allen, and the Houston Texans have a C.J.
15:49Stroud, a quarterback who was inconsistent towards the end of last year.
15:52Over his last two regular season games and two playoff games, five touchdowns, seven interceptions
15:57turned the ball over.
15:58They have some injuries on the offensive side of the ball for as far as his weapons are concerned.
16:03I think Jaden Higgins being out is a big deal for them right now.
16:07So, yeah, I think we all know, and I'll say this, this is a really good point.
16:11So, Mark Vandermeer joined me and Matt Bovan on Always Game Day, and he's the play-by-play
16:16guy for the Texans.
16:17And he said, look, as much as the Texans were able to kind of handle the Bills' offense and
16:22give Josh a really tough day two years ago, nine for 30, sack him as much as they did
16:27last year, it still took every single thing they had and to the last drive and plays of
16:33the game to beat the Buffalo Bills the last couple of years.
16:36So, I think from that standpoint, look at the Bills, the Bills did not play a very good
16:39game each of the last two years.
16:41And yet, here they were with chances to beat the Houston Texans despite all of that.
16:45So, I think from that standpoint, you'll like it.
16:48One way I do like the Bills here is, D'Amico Ryan said this, guys, like, they don't know
16:53what the Bills are going to do defensively.
16:55The Bills have shown nothing in the preseason, and they have a brand new defensive coordinator,
17:00and you do not have anything on him.
17:02Yeah, I was just going to make that point, Sal.
17:05Like, sure, the Texans' defense is, you know, it's maybe, you know, top of the league, top
17:10two, three, whatever.
17:11I mean, it's a fantastic unit.
17:12We saw it with our own experience last year when the Bills were down there.
17:16But with that being said, the personnel is almost entirely the same.
17:22Reed Blankenship in the deep secondary is the only starter that's different from last
17:27year's team.
17:28So, you probably have, you're right to think maybe, I mean, there's going to be wrinkles,
17:34every team's going to try to change up whatever, but, like, you probably have a pretty decent
17:38idea of what they're going to try to do to you.
17:40And the Bills, you know, facing that, have this tremendous offense that has been the thing
17:47that has been their calling card.
17:49They've been excellent, really, since Josh Allen arrived as a MVP caliber player.
17:53And so, that matchup, sure, it's tough, but at least you kind of know what you got.
17:59Houston, on the other hand, offensively, that is definitely the weaker side of the ball for
18:04them, and it's not even close, the way the season ended anyway.
18:08You know, we'll see how well Stroud bounces back and whatever, but the unknown there of
18:13an offense that's maybe shaky to begin with, going against a defense that is a blank slate,
18:21that maybe is a leg up for the Bills.
18:24I agree.
18:25Now, this is why coaches get paid a lot of money, though, that there's going to be adjustments
18:31in the game.
18:33What's going to happen in this game is the Texans are going to do some things to try to
18:38figure out what the Bills are doing defensively.
18:41They're going to line up in certain sets intentionally early in the game.
18:46So, they'll come out and they'll say, how do the Bills handle double tights?
18:49How do the Bills handle spread?
18:52They're going to get intel from the first couple of series on what they want to do for
18:57the rest of the game, and it's going to be a chess match.
19:00It's going to be really interesting, but that's what they have to do early in the game.
19:03Then they'll say, okay, this is how we want to attack them, and what you see from the Texans
19:09maybe in the first two series might not be what you see the rest of the game.
19:13It might not be for the Bills on defense either because it's going to go back and forth like
19:15that, but I bet you the Texans are going to go into this game and say, the first
19:19couple of series, we have to kind of show them a different looks so we can find out
19:25how they're treating those looks.
19:27Also on Houston, I mean, they have gotten a lot of credit this offseason.
19:32I think they've really been sort of steamed up as a team to beat in the AFC.
19:36Not that they haven't been in the playoffs for a few years in a row, but still, it sounded
19:39more and more the crescendo on the Texans, I think.
19:43There is a point here that we used to make against the Bills last year in the offseason.
19:49The 24 Bills.
19:50I remember talking all the time about the turnover stats.
19:54They had three lost fumbles the whole year in 2024.
19:58Incredible, fortunate season.
20:0029 takeaways, 12 turnovers, third and second respectively in the league.
20:06That's Houston last year.
20:07The Bills were first in turnovers prevented and third in takeaways.
20:12Basically, Houston just did the same thing.
20:1519 interceptions last year.
20:18So if there's some regression there, that's not their friend, Houston.
20:23But, you know, everybody loves them, I guess.
20:26You know, I'm really interested in their run game.
20:28They now have David Montgomery and Woody Marks.
20:31And, you know, Mark Vandermeer, when we talked to him, he was very high on Woody Marks.
20:34He's like, he's a really good player.
20:36And, you know, they're a different running game than they were last year.
20:39They thought they had Joel Mixon.
20:40He never clearly played.
20:42So I'm interested.
20:43I think that because they're down weapons on the outside and that wide receiver,
20:49they're going to probably go into this game and try to, you know,
20:53control it against the Bills on the ground and think they can do that.
20:55And that's going to be the test for Jim Leonard.
20:57It's been the Achilles heel of the Bills defense over the last several years.
21:00And maybe more, not saying intentionally,
21:02but they were much more concerned about making sure they stop the pass and stop the run.
21:07And I think the Houston Texans are going to really test the Bills on the ground in this game.
21:11What do you think happens tonight?
21:15You know, the Seahawks aren't quite the same team as they were last year, right?
21:19I mean, look on paper.
21:20They lost some really key defenders in the secondary.
21:22But, man, you go there on a Wednesday night when they're raising the banner.
21:27I just – it's a tough, tough spot for the Patriots.
21:30So I think the Seahawks probably win the game.
21:33I think the Patriots have a shot.
21:35I think it'll probably be a lower-scoring game.
21:40But I think the Seahawks probably, at the end of the day,
21:44are probably a little bit too much to handle in this particular spot.
21:47Okay.
21:48Can't wait, right?
21:49I mean, only a couple hours away.
21:51Pretty good.
21:52It's going to be fun.
21:52I'm actually doing a fantasy draft during the game tonight.
21:54Oh, got to get it in.
21:56Tell me everything.
21:57Talk slower, Sal.
21:59Talk slower.
21:59I mean, I'm watching the game like – oh, wait a minute.
22:02You know what?
22:02Oh, geez.
22:04Seahawks defense is going to pick six.
22:05I'm picking them in the next round.
22:06I don't care if it's a sixth round.
22:07I'm putting them in.
22:08I'm getting that.
22:08What are you going to do about Bowers?
22:12I don't know.
22:13It's interesting.
22:14I know what I would do.
22:14I know what I would do.
22:15Draft them anyways.
22:16Tight end four.
22:19What is the – so what is the – I've not looked.
22:22I'm sorry.
22:23You guys literally – because of these late practices, I didn't see this whole thing happen.
22:26Like, what is the report on him?
22:28He had some knee injury in camp probably something like three weeks ago.
22:36Reportedly went to Dallas for inspection.
22:40They said he had a day where he missed practice for a personal reason.
22:44I mean, I think they've been completely not forthcoming about the whole thing.
22:47Right.
22:47And to the point where, as we talked about, even today, the coach dismissed anything having
22:52to do with Bowers.
22:53And then, here comes Schefter and Rappaport in tandem, right?
22:57They get the scoop together.
22:58He's got some conference call from space or something.
23:01Yeah, right.
23:01I know.
23:01And here – like, what is their purpose if they're not going to report something like
23:06that, you know, when it happened?
23:09It's the worst.
23:11I don't know.
23:11I know I – I don't like how I sound talking about that because no one really cares what,
23:16you know, Adam Schefter is the problem.
23:17But, come on, like, teams have gotten so far down the road – I don't have to tell Sal
23:23this – at using their own platforms for their media, for their own messaging, and then
23:31using these top insiders who will do whatever they want them to do.
23:35And so, great.
23:36Here's Bowers, who was hurt weeks ago, and we find out today that he's going to miss
23:41games.
23:42I think he's tight end four now.
23:43I'd take Loveland over him, McBride, probably Warren, but I wouldn't, you know, erase him
23:49from my board.
23:50Before we wrap up, Sal, the injury report just landed here.
23:55Indeed, Hancock and Ty Johnson did not practice.
23:59Quad injury for Hancock, hamstring for Ty Johnson like we thought.
24:04The only, I guess, surprise is that TJ Sanders is on there as limited with a knee.
24:12Yeah, he had been – I think he had been popping up here and there during preseason.
24:16I am – I did not see it right now in front of me.
24:18Was Kolo Shakir limited or full?
24:21No, no.
24:21Those three names are on it and three names only.
24:23Oh, that's three names.
24:24That's it.
24:24That's it.
24:25Okay, that's it.
24:25So, no designation at all so that you assume full practice for Shakir.
24:30Yep.
24:31That's exactly right.
24:32And real quick before I go, I did watch Jessica Bagula last night.
24:36Great match.
24:36You're right.
24:37Everything you said, Bulldog, was right.
24:38She was not herself.
24:39And then she kind of just turned it on and she found it.
24:41It's great to watch that.
24:43I was in another fantasy draft, a media fantasy draft last night with a lot of people.
24:47And we – literally the draft ended just as the last point was happening for Jessica last night, which was
24:53awesome.
24:53I did not stay up for the men's match.
24:57Mike, I know you guys got to go.
24:59I got to say this.
24:59I was told today by a media member they let – they had AI do their draft last night.
25:05Not auto draft.
25:06I just – like literally went and plugged in on AI every time, who should I draft, and just based
25:12it on that, which I thought was really interesting.
25:15I think the Sabres announced today that they're going to have AI run their entire hockey operations department.
25:19I think that's a bit of an overstatement, but yes, they did announce a –
25:25I mean, no one knows how Sal handles all these leagues, but he manages.
25:29There you go, yeah.
25:30Thank you, Sal.
25:31Okay.
25:31You got it.
25:32There you go.
25:32That's our Sal Cabaccio on the Western Hotline.
25:35His appearances are brought to you by New York's only outlet, Liquor.
25:38When you need to stock up, it's the place to buy a case.
25:40What's your outlet?
25:41Very good use of touche by Sal.
25:43Well, sometimes – not a word you hear a lot, but often just sort of like something you say to
25:49kind of maybe hang in there in a conversation.
25:52I remember thinking – I remember times on the air where somebody would call in with a point, and then
25:57I would say completely something different, and they'd be like, exactly.
26:01No, no, no.
26:02I don't know.
26:03No, it's not exactly.
26:03Maybe you didn't catch the part where I completely disagreed with your point.
26:06You missed that.
26:07Yeah.
26:07You can't say exactly to that.
26:10I think they're going to win.
26:11I think they're going to lose.
26:12Exactly.
26:14No, no.
26:16Sorry, you can't just say anything you want.
26:19Neither can I.
26:20Right.
26:21Those are the rules.
26:22And do not substitute precisely for exactly.
26:24Because it means the exact same thing.
26:25Touche.
26:28Mike Schopen, the Bulldog here, back after sports on WG.
