00:00A good $50 or $60 better than I thought it was going to be, and even more in places.
00:04One of these little ewe lambs at $4.20, I was trying to work out how much of a reserve
00:07to put on them.
00:08I said $3.40, and so we put $3.50 on them, and they made $4.15.
00:12So, yeah, didn't have to sell them, so we put a big reserve on them and got blown out of
00:17the water with it.
00:18So, good, and $6.20 for the tops of the first cross ewe's, and just a really solid average right
00:26through.
00:27Outstanding line-up of ewe's, though, too. So, as a guy was saying just a while ago, he bought here
00:31today,
00:32and he said he thought it was a very relevant sale. Prices were where they should have been, he thought.
00:36So, to hear that from a buyer, it's good.
00:38Dearest market that I've been a part of, for sure, topped at $620 for the gold ewe's.
00:45It topped the sale last year at $495, and the sale average was $550 across the board.
00:52The whole job's on supply and demand. We're having a very, very good spring as well.
00:57We're having a hell of a season, but the lamb and mutton markets are the drivers,
01:02and the lambs and the sheep don't appear to be out there, thus the high prices.
01:06It's all a numbers game at the end of the day.
