00:52You run them between the tackles and he gave them credit for some tough runs.
00:56Tough runs, I feel like, are not every run is created equal, right?
00:59If you're running outside and you've got the sideline and you take just a little shove,

03:46I mean, the secondary, I asked him about it.

03:51At the same time, they have to win those one-on-ones.

04:06But you've got to minimize those, and you can't allow those plays.

04:17did they want to minimize the plays by Jamison Williams down the field?
04:21And they did, but not because of anything they did.

04:25So you've got to find a way to minimize some of those plays.

04:31Is one of those plays at, you know, 20 or 25-yard pass play to DJ Moore?
04:35Sure, okay, but you've got to make sure that he doesn't hit the home run with him.
04:39And what I'm saying about this secondary, I give them credit for finding ways to pressure
04:44the quarterback.
04:45They had five sacks.
04:46Their time to pressure, remember that was the big stat?
04:49Their time to pressure was almost a half second faster against the Saints than it was last
04:54year.
04:54So that's a credit to, some of those were blitzes and secondary blitzes, creative ways to speed
05:00up a quarterback.
05:01But I think the most indictment, the biggest indictment is, even after speeding up the quarterback
05:05and sacking him five times, they converted whatever they wanted on third down.
05:10They could still gut this secondary.
05:12So even if you do all the things right, Tyler Shuck, of all people, is going to throw for
05:17400 yards against you.
05:18That's like a red flag of all red flags.
05:21But it's, it's, I don't necessarily, it's, I want to take one conversation and join it
05:26to another.
05:26We talk about Bryce and the way that the coaching staff used him differently in game two than
05:32they did in game one.
05:33It's got to be the same with Calvin Shepard in regards, you can't always be bringing a
05:37corner off of the edge.
05:39You can't always bring safety help down to, to put pressure on a quarterback, right?
05:44You're going to, at some point, you're going to have to pressure with four and drop seven
05:48because you're facing a guy that can, as Dan said, make any throw on the field and is going
05:52to make some plays.
05:53What I'm saying is that that's, they concocted in my mind, the ideal situation for the secondary
05:58to have a good day, right?
06:01Give them a lead, pin your ears back, get to the quarterback quicker than you have that
06:06like, that's the perfect scenario for the secondary to not look old, slow and washed.
06:11And yet, yes.
06:13And yet, and, and when Dan says we need more pressure from, you know, from, from our down
06:17guys, like, okay, to whom much is given, much is expected.

06:22We're talking about that with Jameer Gibbs, right?
06:24You gave him a whole bunch of money and you're going to use him as much as you need to,

06:30Now you expect more out of JMO, but what you need in games like this is for Aiden Hutchinson
06:36to come up big for a lean McNeil to come up big.
