07:45This is going back to the Jacksonville playoff game,
07:50which Joshua never scored on first down on the last drive.
07:54That was horrendous.
07:56Then the Bills playoff game against the Broncos,
08:01the horrendous clock management, obviously, at the end of the first half,
08:03which they never, never should have gone for points there,
08:06and Josh ended up fumbling.
08:09But the game on Sunday, Ulmer catches that ball.
08:14How does he not know to go down at the one?
08:19If he goes down at the one there, the game's over.

08:29Here's what, without me automatically processing what you're,

08:34I know that during the game, while I was watching it,
08:36I was thinking either drain the clock and kick or score a touchdown.

09:39If you get this wide-open look, don't take it.
09:42You know, was that play – I'm trying to picture where the ball
09:44was actually caught.

09:47He caught it on the five-yard line.

09:50And then the Texans would have had to use their second timeout.

09:54I wind up very mad at coaching staffs and players
09:59for not executing in the moment.
10:01I'm just here to say that I think about that a lot,
10:03and I didn't think he should have gone –
10:05or it didn't occur to me that he should have gone down there,
10:08and I think you give people a little leeway.
10:10But I definitely – I want you to call with these points
10:14as often as possible, Ricky, because I think of them
10:16and I like thinking about the game in that way.
10:18It was just in that particular moment I thought it was time to score.

10:25They should know that in that situation you tell your players
10:28if you break free, go down at the one.
10:32Especially with how badly the defense was playing,
10:34you can't give the ball back with a minute and a half and two timeouts.

10:58We're in an elevator or we're filing something to the desk
11:01because we have deadlines or whatever.
11:03And I don't – we see a lot of it on replay.
11:06We have to look up and be like, all right, now what does it –
11:08But, yeah, so I couldn't – I needed to – I was there witnessing this,
11:12but I couldn't remember exactly how that broke down.
11:14I can't dispute what Ricky says or disagree with it, I should say.

11:19It's just – it wasn't as flagrant as one of those situations can be.
11:24But I'm almost always inclined to just trap you in your end.

11:30But if Palmer would have done it, we would be talking about how brilliant it was.

11:46kept his wits about him and slid down at the two rather than being selfish

11:57That's the story until he misses the field goal, until the field goal gets botched.
12:01And, you know, Bass had a nice game, but I'm not at 100% trust level yet.
12:06That my special teams are going to execute perfectly on the final play of the game.
12:11Yes, it's a very high percentage play, but so is scoring a touchdown in that moment
12:17and not letting the team go the entire field.

12:26He catches the ball at about the seven, but he is running right behind a defender.

12:35Especially when you're catching the ball like that to know – in fact, there's two defenders

13:07He comes right underneath the one defender, and there's another defensive back coming

13:23Again, we'd be talking about how brilliant it was because they probably would have won
13:27the game, and it would have been in such an unusual fashion heady.

15:21field and we go down and we score quickly, we have those chunk passing yards and everything,
15:27let them do what they have to do.
15:29But the one thing that really bugs me is, like, everybody's worried about, or some people,
15:33I should say, are concerned with the defense being fatigued.
15:38You know what would alleviate that?
15:40It's a no-brainer.
15:42Stop the three and longs.
15:45You know, the three and outs.
15:48The defense needs to do more as far as the three.
15:51The three and outs are beneficial, which allows them to get that rest on the sidelines.
15:59I mean, come on.
16:01The three and longs, allowing the other teams to pick up the first downs, that's what's
16:07always killed us for the last, what, four or five years?
16:10So, it's like, buckle up on that.
16:13Tighten down.
16:14You know, tighten up on that ship.

16:16That's the only thing that bothers me.
16:17I don't have a problem with the offense going down and scoring the way they did.
16:21And as far as on clock management, they'll work on that.
16:24You do it when it's time.
16:26But do what you do, Josh, and the defense just needs to tighten up.

16:33That'll help sit on the bench and look at the, you know, the iPads and say, hey, this
16:40is what we can do differently when we go back out there on defense.
16:42Buffalo's defense did have a great third quarter after, of course, they get the strip
16:46sack on the opening Texans possession.
16:48But then the Texans go 12 plays, 76 yards, 13 plays, 65.
16:54Then there was three for eight, four for 65 before halftime.
16:59And then the Bills came out with back-to-back three and outs.

17:07In fact, the first series with penalties was a net of minus 10 yards for the Texans.
17:13And then the fourth quarter, they got a little sloppy again, 13 for 72 and a touchdown, seven
17:20for 36 and a field goal, three and out.
17:23And then 10 plays, 47 yards before that ended with a fumble.
17:27So they did come up with four of their last eight, yeah, four of their last eight possessions
17:39defensively were three and outs.
17:41And then one of them ended with a fumble.
17:44So they did get better as the game went on.
17:47I had a message come in, and I finally just watched the play again.
17:51Back to the Palmer, should he have stopped before going into the end zone thing.

20:40time goes on as you're playing together week to week.
20:43But really what I called was last night is, you know, when you listen to Buck and you listen to
20:48Aikman, I had to go by a lot of what they were saying.
20:51And a couple of things I touched on is with Denver, first of all, the defense.
20:55They were eluding the great defense.
20:57But they were also going on and on about, I guess it was really hot and humid last night in
21:02Kansas City.
21:03And then Walker literally wore the defense down.
21:07I mean, he was just running all over them.
21:10And as they started to, you know, when you got into the third quarter and they were cheating safeties up
21:14closer and stuff because they were just getting killed on the ground,
21:17it opened Kelsey up, and that's when the game blew wide open.
21:22And then the other thing that they were going on and on about was Sean Payton gave up the calling
21:28duties to, and his name slips my mind right now, their O.C.
