04:37We have a few things to get to.

04:38It's been a crazy day in the world of pro wrestling, and we're kicking things off talking

04:42about MLW.

04:44Big news breaking today that MLW has signed a distribution deal with the Fox-owned company

04:50Tubi.

04:51They'll be airing Thursdays starting tonight.

04:53They aired tonight starting at 8 o'clock p.m. on Tubi.

04:56And this is being reported by The Hollywood Reporter, a reputable news source, that basically

05:02their show had a three-year hiatus after there was an antitrust lawsuit against WWE.

05:07It was in January 2022.

05:10Basically, they were claiming that WWE, an executive for WWE, pressured third parties not

05:15to carry MLW programming.

05:17Tubi, being owned by Fox, who at the time had to deal with WWE for their SmackDown distribution,

05:23it was believed that Stephanie McMahon was the executive they were talking about who encouraged

05:27people to not do business with MLW.

05:30MLW's owner, Kurt Bauer, their lead booker and everything, he was talked about how a wrestling

05:35show should be accessible to all.

05:37I have a quote here from him where he said,

05:39We built MLW around that.

05:41No paywalls, no subscription barriers, nothing standing between a fan and the show, and Tubi

05:47shares that same fan-first philosophy at scale.

05:49Um, that lawsuit was settled in December of 2023 to the tune of $20 million.

05:55Now, there was never reported directly that it was MLW that WWE settled with, but on a

06:01shareholder call, when you have to disclose things in your annual reports and whatnot,

06:04in your quarterly reports, there was an antitrust lawsuit with a settlement for $20 million,

06:08and nobody knows of any other one they were in at the time other than MLW.

06:11And after that, MLW seemed to be able to acquire new talent and putting more production

06:16value behind their show and really getting things going, and the thought process is, is

06:20that WWE ended up paying out because of whatever went down, and that really helped MLW get into

06:25a better position.

06:25Are they the number two company?

06:27No.

06:27Number three?

06:28Probably not.

06:29Um, but they are certainly trying to make a move up the ladder of wrestling companies,

06:34and a distribution on Tubi really can do that.

06:36And I love their message.

06:38It's not about the corporate greed.

06:39It's not about every nickel and dollar.

06:41You're going on Tubi that's totally free, um, and you're going to distribute your show

06:44to fans, and look, long term, if you're playing the law game, this year gets your product in

06:48front of people.

06:49Right now, the MLW World Heavyweight Champion, Killer Cross, somebody that WWE fans are very

06:54familiar with, probably want to see more frequently, and in recent years, they've been putting in

06:58their show on YouTube.

06:59This will be an opportunity to be on a streaming service.

07:01I suspect they'll probably still put shows on YouTube, but if you're somebody who has Tubi

07:05in your phone, by all means, use it.

07:07Make it worth their while for making this deal.

07:09This is a really great opportunity to see their shows.

07:12We'll have to see where things go from there.

07:14Some crazy AEW slash CMLL news.

07:17Jeff Jarrett is scheduled to face Blue Panther.

07:19Both of these guys really hit their prime in the 90s for Jarrett in WWE and WCW, Blue Panther

07:25down in CMLL, and at the 93 CMLL Anniversario show, we're going to see Jeff Jarrett and Blue

07:31Panther do battle.

07:32We're going to see these guys, and look, I get it, they're at the twilight of their career,

07:35but they're going to throw down.

07:36Fans in Mexico are clamoring for the match.

07:38It was really a surprise to see that match announced, but the fans are so into it that

07:43now it's being reported that Jeff Jarrett is interested in becoming a semi-regular wrestler

07:48on CMLL programming.

07:49He wants that role.

07:51They're in Arena Mexico.

07:52They book out shows pretty much every week.

07:54Dave Meltzer waited on this on Wrestling Observer Radio, talking about how Jeff Jarrett sees

07:58this as an opportunity to really be more active and do something that's meaningful, and I

08:03couldn't agree more.

08:04Jeff Jarrett has a history in Mexico.

08:05He's wrestled for AAA before.

08:07He's been a AAA mega champion back when they had a working arrangement with AEW, and before

08:12that when they had deals with TNA Wrestling and Global Force Wrestling.

08:15So Jeff Jarrett does have a following in Mexico, so it makes a lot of sense for him to have

08:19this match with Blue Panther.

08:20It makes even more sense for him to have more repeated opportunities down there because the

08:24fans do have a great memory of him, and he's somebody they'll pay to see.

08:28And the last thing tonight, the Wyatt Six, we reported previously that there was conversations

08:32about potential interest from TNA Wrestling in the Wyatt Six members, and we weren't sure

08:37who they were looking for for sure, if any contact had been made.

08:42But according to PW Insider Elite, Joe Gacy, now wrestling under the name Joseph Sawyer, and

08:49Dexter Loomis, now wrestling under Sam Shaw, have both either been approached by TNA or have

08:55formally been offered contracts by TNA Wrestling to come into the company.

08:58Now look, these two have kept busy since their WWE releases.

09:01Joe Gacy, or Joseph Sawyer, is right now the GCW World Heavyweight Champion.

09:06He just faced Dexter Loomis as Sam Shaw last weekend, defending that MLW Championship.

09:12But it sounds as though that the TNA brand would be willing to bring them in and repackage

09:16them as a tag team again.

09:17I'm all in favor of that.

09:19There is no clarity on if they have interest in any of the other talents from the Wyatt Six.

09:24Possibly there are more.

09:27I could see Nikki Cross doing something because if she partners with TNA, she could potentially

09:31get her company, Progress, go and get them some more exposure by doing like a cross-branded

09:37opportunity.

09:38If that's not the case, you think about the other people.

09:41You've got Rowan out there working the independent scene.

09:44We haven't seen anything from Bo Dallas yet.

09:46Maybe he's ready to hang up the boots.

09:47Maybe not.

09:48Maybe he's just waiting for the right opportunity.

09:50This could be that.

09:51So I'm excited to see what they do.

09:53I'm really hoping that the Wyatt Six do make an appearance for TNA.

09:56I think that would be a great option for them.

09:58I don't really see them being the New Japan Pro Wrestling tag team.

10:03It just doesn't fit their style.

10:05Could they show up over in progress for Nikki Cross?

10:09Absolutely.

10:10That's a possibility.

10:10But I think you could probably do both.

10:13I'd like to see all of them come in.

10:15I don't think they ever got their fair shot to be at the top of the card.

10:17And in TNA, they would actually have that.

10:20I could see them having a program with the Hardys.

10:23That would be fantastic.

10:24Doing something with the Righteous would be another fantastic feud.

10:29I think it's a win-win for everybody.

10:31I hope TNA does pursue them hard.

10:33Gets them signed and locked down into a contract.

10:35I don't think AEW is the right place for them.

10:37It's just not their style.

10:38New Japan is not their style.

10:40Pro Wrestling, NOAA.

10:41GCW is housing them right now.

10:45Joe Gacy and Dexter Loomis.

10:47But I think TNA would be a much better opportunity and a bigger platform to apply their trade.

10:52Getting them in front of the fans who are really clamoring to see them come back to television.
