00:00Well another week, another set of local council by-elections and certainly it's been a pretty
00:06bruising week for the Greens who it appears have clearly peaked in the polls and are now in a spot
00:14of trouble. You had the ridiculous spectacle didn't you of the Green leader Zach Polanski
00:20speaking in Urdu. In terms of the aggregate results of local council by-elections by the way
00:27you can see here contrary to the media narrative reform up massively this year the Tories down
00:33Labour down the Lib Dems up a bit. Now you did see earlier this week the Bassett law by-election
00:42where
00:42reform absolutely smashed the Tories and that was reform gained from the Conservatives and what
00:49you're now seeing clearly are the Greens in trouble here. The Greens actually losing a seat in Charnwood
00:56you can see that's a Tory gain that's a collector's item nowadays but the Conservatives gaining that
01:00seat and interestingly enough reform coming second there with the Greens absolutely collapsing you
01:08can see I mean that is an epic collapse and Labour in the Lib Dems virtually getting no votes at
01:13all.
01:14In terms of Sheffield the Greens losing another seat at this time to Labour where Labour up there
01:21significantly over 50% of the vote. The Greens crashing down there as well
01:26and you've got a reform in third down a bit with again the Lib Dems and Conservatives there
01:33very little support at all. And finally in Scotland South
01:38Lenarkshire interesting again here so SNP winning here but down slightly
01:45Labour basically standing still and reform there at nearly 20% in that Scottish Council by-election
01:52with the Tory vote halving eventually the SNP gaining that. But yeah interesting set of results
