00:00Well, Kemi Bainock and the Conservatives having a bit of a dismal conference this week.
00:05But first of all, thank you to the members on the channel, including Don, who responded to the video I
00:11did on the Brazilian election results.
00:13And yeah, huge change around the world.
00:18Thanks to Don and the members supporting the channel.

00:23But yeah, as to the big Conservative Party plan in this country, well, their big plan seems to be to
00:31try and target centrist middle class voters, which is an interesting move.
00:38As for whether these people are ready to run the country again.
00:42Well, this was their Chancellor's speech, the end of it.
00:45This is ours.
01:09And with that, he was gone.
01:13And yeah, in a Conservative conference that in terms of the size and scale of it seems to come across
01:18basically as a regional conference,
01:20what they're having to deal with is the reality is that when you look at the research now,
01:26Reform UK seen as the main opposition to the Labour government, the Tories have fallen away.
01:34And also, you know, Kemi Bainock, in my opinion, gets off way too lightly in terms of the Tory party
01:40is less popular now than it was in the 2024 general election when they got absolutely crushed.
01:46So the party has gone backwards since the last general election.
01:53And as for this big pledge made at the Tory conference for an Iron Dome for the UK, though, there
02:01seems to be some confusion exactly as to what the policy is.
02:07Well, this was Kemi Bainock, the Conservative leader, speaking about that policy.
02:11Watch this from LBC and you let me know if you think Kemi Bainock has what it takes to become
02:17the next prime minister or not.
02:19So if it's mobile, it can't offer protection to the whole of the United Kingdom?
02:24Well, because it's mobile, it can.
02:26Is it moved by sea, by land, by air?
02:29How is it moved?
02:30Well, James Cartlidge, the Shadow Defence Secretary, he's a former Defence Procurement Minister.
02:35He knows more of the ins and outs of this.
02:37So I do know that it would move, I think, just certainly by sea.
02:41I think that there is that capability.
02:43But I'm not the defence...
02:46You've got to speak to a defence expert about exactly how it works.
02:49Mrs Bainock, there's a whole page in a newspaper in which you laud it.
02:52You are the leader of the party.
02:54Yes.
02:55I mean, if it's patrolling the English Channel because we know it's by sea and suddenly there's an incident off
03:01northern Scotland, how is it going to get there?
03:03Well, this is a system.
03:06It's not one thing that's sitting in one place.
03:09How many units are there of these mobiles?
03:12How many units are there?
03:13Is it just one?
03:15So I can't...
03:16We can send you all of this information.
03:18I think that this is a new thing that we're talking about.
03:21These are new technologies.
03:22This isn't something that is sitting in a shop somewhere.
03:24This is like asking the cost of a police officer or where a bridge starts, Mrs Bainock.
03:27No, no, no, I'm afraid it's not, Nick.
03:28I'm afraid it's not.
03:29We don't know how many units there are.
03:30When Mr Cartlidge came up with this, did you not say, well, how many do we need, James?
03:35No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no.
03:36A system, a system.
03:38I didn't say how many systems do we need.
03:39I said, what will it be able to do?
