00:00Well, some more by-election results that, again, I think point to an early general election
00:04potentially. And when you look at the national polling, it is very clear what is going on.
00:10Labour are leading. Reform are the main challenger, up three there in the latest More In Common
00:16polling. And you can see there the Conservatives on 21%, the Lib Dems on 10%, the Greens on seven,
00:22Restore on four. And you can see there, that means Labour on their highest level with that
00:27firm since 2024. And the Greens fall into their lowest since August 2025. Now, that is significant,
00:35as you will see. But look, in terms of the outlook for this country, it is pretty bleak right now.
00:43I
00:43mean, in terms of the budget, this country is in a huge, huge hole with Labour and refusing to cut
00:52spending. We know that. You can also see, in terms of what's to come, well, this could now be
00:58the worst parliament on record for living standards. Quite unbelievable. And in terms of the illegal
01:05migrant boat invasion that continues, well, just to give you some idea of what's going on,
01:10you've seen more than 1,600 people in a matter of days recently allowed to cross. In fact,
01:18one migrant crossing the channel every six minutes in the first week of October. So this continues,
01:25this totally ridiculous situation continues. And we're seeing, unfortunately, the sorry state of
01:34the country. Now, meanwhile, in terms of the by-elections this week, of course, the big headline
01:40by-election, the Holborn and St Pancras by-election. And you can see there what's happened,
01:47Labour winning pretty comfortably there. And the Greens, who, of course, had their leader,
01:52Zach Polanski standing, a party, the Greens that seems becoming more and more extreme.
01:56That's a massive blow for the Greens. And clear there that Labour effectively consolidating
02:04that left-wing vote. And what you've got is another by-election, this time in Newcastle,
02:12underline. Now, Labour gained this from reform, despite reform basically staying at the same
02:19percentage of support, but down very, very slightly. But you can see what's happened there.
02:23Labour are up, with the Greens down, and the Conservatives down, and the Liberal Democrats,
02:30they're down to virtually nothing. So you can see what's happened there. Labour consolidating
02:35the left-wing vote again, and other parties there taking away support from the main challenger
02:42to Labour reform. So yeah, I think that all makes, particularly given the terrible outlook
02:48for the country, and the poll bounce that Labour are seeing, an early election still more likely
02:56than not. But please do let me know your thoughts on that in the comments below. Please do whack this
03:00video a quick thumbs up, and of course, as ever, cheers for watching.
