00:00Well look, serious talk once again about the prospect of an early general election and this
00:04isn't coming from opposition parties, this is coming from Labour insiders and the argument is
00:12very simple, that when you look at the budget and what is coming under this Labour government
00:17that seem to have all sorts of spending commitments and no answers as to how they want to fund
00:22anything, then frankly the country is heading to a very dark place indeed and things won't get
00:29better for Andy Burnham than they are at the moment and you can see here some Labour MPs even
00:35saying that Burnham's sounding like Keir Starmer which isn't exactly a ringing endorsement, you've
00:42got a very ugly budget coming up, you've got a senior Labour MP there saying that the decisions
00:47that are being put off by the government are raising suspicions of an early general election, the
00:52government, Burnham's plan seems to be to kick the can down the road and just to show you the sorry
00:58state the country's in under net zero, well look, we've got UK household energy bills forecast to
01:04jump by about 25% in January, that is what is forecast by some to be coming folks, it is
01:11going
01:11to get more and more ugly and therefore very interesting to see this report and again this
01:18is from Labour sources speaking to the Independent that actually the by-election being held in Keir
01:25Starmer's constituency, former constituency, that this is essentially a test run for the general
01:32election for Labour assessing the threat posed by the likes of the Greens in some of these seats
01:39and you can see there the quote from a source in Labour that Labour advisors are using the by-election
01:45result as the decider on calling a snap this year or not and others also looking at what the government
01:53have been doing their briefings and that a potential 2027 election could be likely as well. So yeah you
02:03can see now very clearly Labour insiders still actively discussing the prospect that we could be
02:09heading for an early general election with the country under Annie Burnham, it's set to go into a
