00:07Okay, welcome to the containment site, Bob Squad. Can... can I call you that?
00:13Anyway, today we're trying something a little different. I've taken a day off from researching contained anomalies here at the
00:18SCP Foundation,
00:19so I can instead rank some of my favorites on a handy-dandy little tier list here.
00:24I'm splitting the anomalies into five different tiers. No problem, probably fine, could go either way, really bad, and wouldn't
00:32stand a chance.
00:33We're going to take some of the most beloved and feared anomalies that I've ever featured on the channel.
00:38You might even find one of your own favorites, too.
00:41We'll begin with some of the anomalies that even the greenest Foundation recruits would be aware of, like SCP-682,
00:48the hard-to-destroy reptile.
00:50Just look at this guy. He may not be the easiest on the eyes, but hey, he makes up for
00:55it with his personality.
00:57You know, he's threatened to kill and eat me every time I've entered his containment chamber for a study.
01:02I almost like to think of it as a, uh, kind of a little running joke between us.
01:06Thanks to his homicidal attitudes and the fact that he's literally impossible to kill, I'm going to give him the
01:12honor of being the first on the wouldn't-stand-a-chance tier.
01:15I'm sure he'll have company soon, and I'm also sure he'll hate it.
01:18Oh, but look at that.
01:19On the perfect opposite end of the spectrum, we've got cute little SCP-999, affectionately nicknamed the Tickle Monster.
01:27He's a little gelatinous ray of sunshine, an orange blob of amorphous material who's about as nice as nice gets.
01:33If you come into physical contact with him, you'll feel an all-consuming sense of calm euphoria,
01:39like slipping into a warm bath while your favorite music plays, knowing that a warm cup of cocoa is waiting
01:45for you on the other end.
01:46Ah, bliss.
01:48This little guy is going into the no-problem tier.
01:51Yes, he is.
01:52Only because I didn't include an opposite of a problem tier.
01:55Now, this one's a classic.
01:58SCP-3700, Tides of War, one of the original cases I covered here on the channel.
02:03Ah, good times, good times.
02:05If you need a little TLDW on this one, it's an area of the North Sea where a pair of
02:10sea monsters duke it out on an endless loop to control the climate.
02:13Reminds me of talking about my parents in therapy.
02:16This is an interesting one, because obviously you wouldn't want to get caught in a death battle between a giant
02:21punching lobster and the eel from hell,
02:23but the lobster is actually pretty friendly, so I don't want to throw the baby out with the bathwater here.
02:28Hmm.
02:29Let's go with really bad, just in the interest of fairness.
02:33Oh, now this one's fun.
02:35One of my absolute favorites, SCP-705, the militaristic Play-Doh.
02:40If you haven't seen my video on this one, you're really missing out.
02:43It's an anomalous Play-Doh tub that forms itself into two little armies that engage in elaborate fights right before
02:49your eyes.
02:50They don't have any capacity to harm you, of course, but for them, it's like a little Play-Doh hacksaw
02:55ridge.
02:56Absolute carnage, but extremely entertaining to watch if you're a big fan of classic war movies like I am.
03:01Still, I might be a little controversial here and put this one in probably fine rather than no problem,
03:06because while you're not going to get gunned down by Play-Doh artillery,
03:10if you accidentally step on a little Play-Doh sniper in a ghillie suit,
03:13there's no way you're getting him out of the carpet.
03:15And that's a huge pain in the butt, let me tell you.
03:18Oh, that's peculiar.
03:19I just noticed that you're watching this video, but you're not subscribed.
03:23Why would you be watching a tier list from a YouTuber you're not subscribed to?
03:26That's not just odd, it's downright anomalous.
03:30Unless you'd like me to send some field agents to your place to see if this case warrants containment,
03:35I suggest you subscribe, just to be safe.
03:39If you just heard the soul drain out of my body, it's because I just saw what's coming up next.
03:45I'm going to be real with you, I absolutely hate this thing.
03:48Yes, it's SCP-056, nicknamed, I'd argue sarcastically, a beautiful person.
03:55It's a shame that I didn't make a tier called Anomalies I Want to Punch in the Face.
04:00If you've never had the displeasure of running into this thing,
04:03it's a shape-shifting entity that will essentially...
04:06How do the kids put it these days?
04:08Try to mog you to madness?
04:10It's capable of turning itself into a slightly better version of whatever it's standing next to.
04:15If it's standing next to you, it'll be a hotter, smarter, more successful you.
04:20If it's standing next to a Honda, it's a Ferrari.
04:22If it's standing next to a can of Diet Coke, it becomes a delicious, refreshing can of Pepsi Max.
04:28Yes, I said what I said.
04:30It's also got all the grace and humility of Kanye West when it comes to talking about its superiority.
04:35It's going straight to really bad.
04:37I won't put it in the worst one, because anything superlative, it'd take as a compliment.
04:41How about a fellow man of science?
04:43Check it out, we've got the Plague Doctor, SCP-049.
04:47The anomaly that elevates mad science to a kind of art form.
04:51Which is to say, in his quest to cure whatever the pestilence is,
04:56he's killed plenty of people by touching them,
04:58and then used the equipment in his Gladstone bag to turn them into mutilated zombies.
05:02But don't judge him too harshly.
05:05He may have methods of questionable effectiveness,
05:08but personally, I think his heart is in the right place.
05:11I know some of my colleagues have had worse luck in interfacing with him,
05:15but personally, my interactions with 049 have been nothing but pleasant and cordial.
05:20Sure, he can kill you with a single touch, but
05:22if you're mindful of your health and respectful of his craft, you'll be fine.
05:26Maybe.
05:28That's why I'm putting the Plague Doctor into the
05:30could-go-either-way tier.
05:33Ah, and this list wouldn't be complete without at least one SCP-001 entry, would it?
05:37And it looks like we're going with the Prototype,
05:40one of the most formative SCPs that the early Foundation encountered, and at a high cost.
05:45Before the Foundation had even figured out the bare bones of its classification system,
05:49this nasty little monster popped up in South America and killed a whole lot of innocent people.
05:54And if it wasn't the claws, it was the insane amount of rads it kicked off at all times,
05:59especially when creating localized black holes.
06:03Getting this thing contained was a real trial by fire,
06:05and that ended up with a lot of good Foundation agents in body bags.
06:09It even killed Dr. Ketter, who was a good friend of mine.
06:12And we named the containment class after him as a memorial.
06:16All that in mind, this one is definitely going into the
06:19wouldn't-stand-a-chance tier.
06:21How about a little television?
06:23I know most kids are into Bluey and the amazing digital circus, but
06:27when I was growing up, there was nothing more entertaining than Bobble the Clown.
06:31Do any of you remember Bobble the Clown?
06:33Do sound off about it in the comments if you did.
06:36It was an educational clown cartoon, a little like Blue's Clues,
06:39where he talked directly to the camera and taught you different things.
06:43Even talking about it makes me feel so nostalgic.
06:47Apparently, they have records of Bobble the Clown on the Foundation database as SCP-993.
06:52Interesting.
06:54Well, as a huge childhood fan of Bobble, I'm definitely putting him in the no-problem tier.
06:58More children need this kind of educational content in their life, if I'm remembering
07:03the episodes correctly.
07:04It's been a long time.
07:07Strangely, every time I've considered a rewatch, I've gotten a little too sleepy and passed out.
07:11I really need to use my vacation days.
07:14Anywho, let's take a look at the next one.
07:16What have we here?
07:18Oh hey, Mambo Mambo Italiano.
07:20We've got ourselves an anomaly from the Foundation's Italian branch.
07:24SCP-015-IT.
07:26The Boogeyman.
07:27This is a pseudo-demonic being that used to hang out in dense forests of Italy,
07:32creating terror and occasionally hunting and killing humans and other animals.
07:36However, I don't think I'd put this any lower down the list than really bad,
07:40because the Boogeyman isn't actually a demon in the traditional sense.
07:44Sure, he's pretty scary, and sure, he kills people on occasion,
07:48but unlike some other anomalies on this tier list, I really don't think he's sadistic.
07:53And if killing people was enough to end up on wouldn't stand a chance,
07:57then the whole human race should be on there, and you really don't want us to have that conversation.
08:02Oh, okay, now this is a tricky one.
08:05SCP-913.
08:06One of the little misters direct from our friends at Dr. Wondertainment.
08:10This one is Mr. Hungry, an African-American man cursed with a completely bottomless appetite.
08:16I know, it's a real shock that that's his deal given the name, isn't it?
08:20But Mr. Hungry is a lot more than a normal guy with a tapeworm problem.
08:24If his appetite isn't sated, he might just devour you whole.
08:28Of course, he'll still feel bad about it if he does,
08:30so that is something I'm going to take into consideration in my ranking.
08:34Given that your level of danger around Mr. Hungry is entirely conditional on how much food there is,
08:40I think it makes the most sense to put him on the could-go-either-way tier,
08:44just in the interest of making sure that I don't slander the poor fellow here.
08:48How about we now take a look at another fan favorite,
08:50especially on the furry side of the internet.
08:53It's okay, I don't judge. Dr. Bob is a friend of the furries.
08:56If you download this app, it won't appear on your home screen.
08:59Instead, you'll start receiving texts of photos.
09:02Photos of locations where you've recently been,
09:05with a certain furry, skull-faced monster lurking somewhere in the background.
09:10This escalates, of course, until it seems like the creature is following you everywhere,
09:14and your life gets a lot more exciting.
09:16Well, if you find paranoia exciting.
09:18But here's the crucial thing.
09:20Malzero is not a physical being.
09:22If you're aware of this, then the anomaly's effects on you will mostly be a kind of novelty.
09:26That's why I'm going to put Malzero on the probably fine tier,
09:30because the most you're going to deal with as a result of this anomaly is worse anxiety.
09:34That takes care of that.
09:36Oh boy, now we're getting into the really hardcore territory.
09:40SCP-4666, also known as the Yule Man.
09:44Genuinely one of the most despicable monsters I've ever encountered,
09:47and one that I'm sad to say isn't actually contained by the Foundation.
09:51If you don't know, well, I'll keep it tasteful.
09:54This ancient Nordic monster is a kind of anti-Santa Claus
09:58that selects a home during deepest winter
10:00before invading and brutally slaughtering the whole family.
10:03He might even take a child to enslave at his workshop,
10:06which is worse than the brutal slaughter.
10:09Even talking about this creep leaves a bad taste in my mouth,
10:12and he certainly doesn't get me in the Christmas spirit.
10:14This one's going straight to wouldn't stand a chance.
10:17Seriously, if this guy shows up in your house this Christmas,
10:20your best chance is that he gets a heart attack
10:22before he really gets started on you.
10:25Oh, alrighty then, from the bad to the straight-up weird.
10:28SCP-5126, now eat your mattress.
10:31One of the more Dadaist of the anomalies we've encountered.
10:35Essentially, it's a meme,
10:36both in the sense of a memetic cognitohazard,
10:38as the Foundation would describe it,
10:40and a literal deep-fried internet meme.
10:42And if you're unlucky enough to see this meme
10:44without the hazardous elements redacted,
10:46you'll be beset by a sudden hunger to devour mattresses.
10:50Your jaws will stretch open to impossible proportions,
10:53allowing you to swallow, well, a whole mattress.
10:56It will compress itself and disappear in your stomach,
10:59which explains why your body won't explode from within.
11:02This is another one that's extremely bizarre,
11:04but actually doesn't present any kind of real danger to you.
11:07That's why I'm going to put this deep-fried disaster
11:10straight into no problem.
11:11Well, other than if you're stuck with the cost
11:14of needing to buy yourself a new mattress after.
11:16Those things are shockingly expensive these days.
11:19And now we have ourselves another icon of the anomalous world,
11:23one that, if I used an actual picture of it
11:25to represent it on our tier list,
11:27I'd be signing the death warrant of myself
11:29and everyone watching this.
11:30SCP-096, also known as the Shy Guy.
11:34And unless you want to die,
11:36there's nothing fly about this Shy Guy.
11:38While the Shy Guy is not an inherently aggressive creature
11:40if not observed, if someone sees its face
11:43or even a picture or video of its face,
11:45there is literally nothing that can save you.
11:49Nothing.
11:50It's as certain a death sentence
11:51as taking your helmet off in space
11:53or swan diving into a volcano.
11:55Not only will the Shy Guy make a beeline for you,
11:57when it actually reaches you,
11:59it'll destroy you so hard
12:00that there literally won't be anything left.
12:03Because of that, I think it's incontestable
12:05that 096 belongs on the
12:07Wouldn't Stand a Chance tier.
12:10Because if you've seen this anomaly's face,
12:13you simply, literally, wouldn't.
12:17Wow, that got a little bleak.
12:18I'm no stranger to that on my channel,
12:20but it wasn't what I expected
12:21on my tier list video.
12:23This was supposed to be my day off, guys.
12:26Okay, okay, what's next?
12:28Ah, an old acquaintance of mine,
12:30SCP-082, also known as
12:32Fernand the Cannibal,
12:34also known as Big Bird,
12:35Andre the Giant,
12:36Napoleon,
12:37Obelix the Gaul,
12:38The Incredible Hulk,
12:39Alexander the Great,
12:40Captain Hook,
12:40Sherlock Holmes,
12:41Dr. Frankenstein,
12:42and Frankenstein's Monster.
12:44That's because,
12:45in addition to being a huge
12:46and nigh-indestructible
12:48man-eating ogre,
12:49Fernand is also a pathological liar
12:51and a fabulist.
12:52He loves nothing more
12:53than telling made-up stories
12:55about who he is
12:56and what he's done
12:57over his hundreds of years.
12:58Make no mistake,
12:59Fernand loves eating people,
13:01particularly their heads,
13:03and he has no remorse
13:04whatsoever about doing it.
13:05However,
13:06in the interest of fairness,
13:07I've enjoyed every conversation
13:09I've had with him.
13:10He's actually a very
13:11interesting fellow,
13:12even when you can't
13:13separate his facts
13:14from his fantasies,
13:15and if he finds that
13:16you're an equally compelling
13:17conversation partner,
13:18he's quite unlikely
13:19to get bored
13:20and eat you alive.
13:21That's why I'm feeling
13:22generous today,
13:23and I'm going to put Fernand
13:24on the
13:24could-go-either-way tier.
13:26You might think I'm crazy,
13:27but trust me,
13:28if you knew him like I did,
13:30you'd agree with me.
13:31Just like I think
13:32you'll agree with me
13:33on SCP-173,
13:34the sculpture.
13:35Do I even need
13:37to really introduce this one?
13:38It's one of the most
13:39well-known anomalies
13:40on every level of clearance.
13:41You know,
13:42the freaky concrete
13:43and rebar monstrosity
13:44that looks like
13:45a regular statue
13:46if you stare at it
13:47with unbroken eye contact.
13:48But if you so much as blink,
13:50the thing moves
13:51at unimaginable speeds,
13:52generally to right behind you,
13:54and snaps your neck.
13:55It's a truly scary anomaly,
13:57and one that
13:58even other anomalies
13:59seem to be nervous around.
14:00However,
14:01I'm going to put it
14:02on the really bad tier.
14:03My logic here is
14:04the sightline weakness
14:05is considerable enough
14:07that while 173 is dangerous,
14:09you very much can survive this one
14:10if you play your cards right.
14:11I just hope for your sake
14:13that you're never actually
14:14in a position
14:15where you need to play
14:15any of these cards,
14:16because you're likely
14:17going to have
14:18a really bad day.
14:19All right, what next?
14:21Oh, okay.
14:22SCP-136, the naked doll.
14:25An interesting choice
14:26on my producer's part.
14:27We'll have to be careful here
14:29if we want to keep monetization.
14:30And our sanity.
14:32At face value,
14:33it's a small doll
14:34intermittently described
14:35as being made out of
14:36either cloth or clay,
14:37and not the kind of thing
14:38that'd draw too much attention
14:39to itself.
14:41But if you stick around
14:42long enough in its proximity,
14:43it'll manifest
14:44a terrifying nude entity
14:46that will slowly
14:47and carefully
14:48float towards you,
14:49a grin full
14:50of crooked yellow teeth.
14:51It'll induce
14:53unimaginable terror in you.
14:55And the longer
14:55you're around it,
14:56the worse it gets.
14:57I absolutely would not
14:59want to be left
15:00in a room with this thing,
15:01but it still doesn't
15:01quite go beyond
15:02really bad,
15:03given that it seemingly
15:04isn't capable
15:05of physically hurting anyone.
15:06But the really bad
15:08definitely describes
15:09how I'd feel
15:10if someone snuck this
15:11into my bedroom at night,
15:12which,
15:12Dr. Clef actually did
15:14on April Fool's Day.
15:16Don't worry,
15:17I plan to get him back
15:17by cutting the brake lines
15:18on his Mustang.
15:19Shh, don't tell.
15:20Oh, and what a coincidence!
15:21We've got another anomaly
15:23you could use
15:23to play a very mean-spirited
15:25or even deadly
15:26practical joke on somebody.
15:27SCP-294,
15:29simply known as
15:30The Coffee Machine,
15:31which actually occupied
15:33the Foundation Site-19
15:34brake room for a while,
15:35before people started dying.
15:37This is a 1990s-style
15:39coffee machine
15:40with a keypad on the front
15:41that allows you to request
15:42any kind of coffee you want,
15:43even things that aren't coffee
15:45or don't even seem
15:46physically possible.
15:47You want standard Arabica?
15:49Fine.
15:49You want a cup of liquid gold?
15:51Go for it.
15:52Ever wanted to drink
15:52a liquefied dream
15:53or the best drink
15:55you've ever tasted
15:55in a purely subjective sense?
15:57All of these things
15:58and more are possible
15:59thanks to The Coffee Machine.
16:02Sure,
16:02you can also make yourself
16:03a cup of nitroglycerin
16:04or a powerful hydrochloric acid,
16:06but as the saying goes,
16:07you control the buttons you push.
16:09Let's go ahead
16:10and put this one down here
16:11and probably fine.
16:13And there you go.
16:14That's my anomaly tier list.
16:15Would you like another one of these?
16:17And where would you put
16:18your favorite anomalies
16:19on my tier list?
16:20Please do me a favor
16:21and let me know
16:21down there in the comments.
16:23And do you want more
16:24from the weird and wild world
16:25of Dr. Bob?
16:26Then do yourself a favor
16:27and check out
16:28Bug That Replaces You
16:29Piece by Piece,
16:30SCP-150.
