00:08the Election Commission scanner, with big names getting Election Commission notices in the Delhi SIR.
00:14Jaishankar, ex-army chief, get SIR notices.
00:17It is Jaishankar and his wife flagged unmapped as well.
00:21CBI director Soodh Family again gets EC notice as well.
00:25This is ex-army chief, Dvivedi, and his wife also have gotten a notice of unmapped with the last SIR
00:32that's now triggered notices from the Election Commission.
00:36Now, CPM MP, John Britas' family also gets an SIR notice.
00:40Britas' wife and son have both been flagged over mismatch.
00:44Ex-Supreme Court judge, Ranjana Desai's family gets noticed.
00:49Desai's family has also been flagged as unmapped.
00:51There's a host list of names we are taking a look at at this given point,
00:54which has come to be given the notice unmapped with the last SIR.
01:01Now, Election Commission's SIR notice has been served to political, judicial, and security figures.
01:07Remember earlier, this had become an intact controversy with Arvind K.D.
01:10while his family members also given a similar notice,
01:13to which he had come out to, in fact, flag that this entire exercise is not being conducted right.
01:20Mounted questions on the very procedure and how it's been dealt with by the booth-level officers.
01:25But now, it's not just Arvind K.D. Wal and his family members,
01:29but several political leaders, including a sitting Cabinet Minister and his family members,
01:35who have also been given these very notices.
01:37So, what exactly has gone down wrong?
01:38We'll take you through that detail.
01:40But right now, it is Delhi, which is going through the special intensive revision as we speak.
01:47And this is the latest splash point in it.
01:50Now, we have Shreya Chatterjee joining me on the broadcast with more details on the same.
01:53Shreya, very good evening to you.
01:55What exactly are you learning about with a list of such high-profile names having been given the EC notices?
02:02Well, Shreya, what we're looking at is only the tip of the iceberg.
02:05Now, Delhi being the power center of the country, we obviously have the who's and the who's not present over
02:10here.
02:10And that's exactly why you see all the names that are coming out right now.
02:13That includes former army general, that includes former chief justices,
02:19that includes present serving, CBI director.
02:21I mean, all their names are there.
02:23It includes multiple politicians from Congress leader Odith Raj to Manisa Sodhiya.
02:28We are literally still going through the list.
02:30India Today is also independently looking at this SIR notice that has been published online.
02:36And clearly, there are multiple notices that have been served.
02:39Mainly the reasons are of people not being mapped to the 2002 electoral roll.
02:45Some because of their name mismatches.
02:47There's another discrepancy because of parental age being less than 15.
02:51But a lot part of it, because we're speaking to these people who are getting notices,
02:55they say that this is an error on the part of the ECI.
02:59The officers who have conducted this, the BLOs, the datas are not taken and submitted rightly.
03:05That's what these people are claiming.
03:06But clearly, this is a developing situation.
03:09The final roll will be published on November 4th, 2026.
03:13So, the hearing, the cleaning, all these are still to go.
03:16But this is clearly a question on the ECI because we're not seeing it for the first time.
03:20The SIR has happened across the country.
03:21And similar situations have also, I mean, been observed on those parts as well.
03:26Absolutely.
03:26And Amit Bhardwaj also joins us on the broadcast with more details on his part.
03:30Amit, there's an entire series of politics we had seen played out a little while back
03:36with Amadmi party leaders having been named in that list.
03:40They had come out to flag that, you know, this is the procedure.
03:43There's something wrong with the entire process that's been conducted.
03:45But now, it's no longer about which political party you belong to.
03:49At least, that is what they were trying to insinuate.
03:51But that logic doesn't stand anymore with so many of these high-profile names having made to that list.
03:59Shriya, the opposition parties and Amadmi party in particular was questioning the entire SIR process
04:05and the way it is being conducted.
04:06And now, there are some serious questions and explanations that are to be given by the Election Commission of India
04:12from here on because Delhi has already lost one out of every three voters.
04:17That name has been already deleted.
04:19These people will have to justify their position by the 30th of September
04:23else they will continue to be out of the voters' list.
04:26Now, another set of people across the national capital are getting these notices
04:32under the SIR exercise of Delhi.
04:36What is to be noted?
04:37What names I have been able to track down so far, Shriya, will possibly leave you surprised
04:43and so will our viewers be thinking that whether if they live in Delhi,
04:47they should be going back to the Election Commission of India website to check whether
04:50they have been also issued these notices.
04:54Former Justice of Supreme Court, Ranjana Desai, and her family is on that list.
04:59Former Army Chief, Upendra Divedi, he and his wife is on that particular list.
05:05Manish Sisodia, the former Delhi Deputy Chief Minister, his wife Seema Sisodia, his son Meer Sisodia,
05:13all of three are on the list.
05:15And it is even more alarming, Shriya, that I have spoken to my sources.
05:20Manish Sisodia's family, his sources are saying that they have not even received those physical
05:25movements.
05:25Absolutely, yeah.
