A major political confrontation has erupted between opposition parties and the Election Commission over the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of voter lists. In Mumbai, Raj Thackeray and Uddhav Thackeray held a joint demonstration seeking the resignation of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar, while the Aam Aadmi Party and left parties staged protests at India Gate in Delhi. The INDIA bloc announced plans to march to the Election Commission office demanding the immediate repeal of the SIR process. AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi raised allegations in Hyderabad over fraudulent Form 7 submissions, and Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge called recent elections illegal, demanding a switch to paper ballots. In an India Today debate, BJP spokesperson Pradeep Bhandari defended the poll body, arguing that the Supreme Court has backed the SIR process and accusing the opposition of questioning constitutional bodies only when they lose. Congress spokesperson Brijesh Kalappa and Shiv Sena Shinde faction spokesperson Susi Ben Shah presented conflicting perspectives on voter deletions and electoral integrity.

01:51Politics speaks. Will C.E.C. Sir end up?
02:13What began as a dispute over the voter roll revision process has now spilled onto the
02:21streets with opposition parties across states stepping up protests and sharpening their allegations
02:28against the poll body. In Mumbai, the Thakere cousins reunited for a joint show of strength.
02:36In Delhi, the Aam Admi Party and the left parties staged a protest at the India Gate. In Hyderabad,
02:45fresh allegations over Form 7 have added another layer to this route. The BJP has responded with
02:53its own counter-attack, accusing the opposition of questioning the election commission only
03:00when the electoral outcome does not suit it. With both sides refusing to back down, the SIR debate
03:08is now moving well beyond voter rolls into a larger political confrontation over the election
03:14commission and electoral credibility. Now, the worrying pattern here is that the opposition is
03:23asking questions and getting together, trying to move people into protest marches, but there is no
03:31acknowledgement right now from the election commission. They have clearly stated that what
03:36was being reported as a disagreement between the election commissioners is not so. They are saying
03:43very clearly that it was all the decisions were taken unanimously. Now, let's bring you a big breaking
03:50news that is coming in right now. The India bloc parties have decided to protest outside Delhi election
03:57commission office against the special intensive revision against the S against the chief election
04:04commissioner, Dyanish Kumar as well on October 7th. So, the Delhi unit now has decided that the India
04:11bloc parties will be holding a joint protest. All the parties of the India bloc will be showing opposition
04:17unity outside the election commission office in Delhi on Wednesday. They will be raising their concerns
04:24against the special intensive revision or the SIR of the electoral rolls and will be demanding the
04:31resignation of the chief election commissioner or the CEC, Dyanish Kumar. Now, this has been their one
04:37demand that they have continuously harped upon, the resignation of the CEC. Now, the decision was taken at a
04:46meeting attended by representatives of the Congress, the Communist Party of India, that is the CPI, the Communist Party of
04:53India, Marxist and Rashtriya Janata Dal or the RJD, Nationalist Congress Party, which is the NCP and the
05:00Revolutionary Socialist Party, among others. This is according to a statement that has been issued by the Delhi Congress. Now,
05:07the Delhi Congress
05:08Congress General Secretary Anil Bhavidwaj has said that the parties of the India bloc had decided to jointly
05:15oppose what they termed a flawed SIR process and seek its immediate repeal. So, this is what they are asking,
05:25an immediate
05:25repeal. They are saying that the voter list is the foundation of democracy and if any process is adopted that
05:33they believe
05:33could potentially remove voters' names or impact their rights, the India alliance or the India bloc will not accept it
05:42at any cost. This is what the Congress
05:45spokesperson has said in a statement when he has mentioned that all these parties of the India bloc will be
05:51protesting on October 7th. Now, joining us right now is India
05:55today's Rahul Gautam on the phone line. Rahul, the decision to protest in Delhi jointly in front of the office.
06:03Do tell us more about it.
06:05Well, on 6th of October, we know that all the opposition MPs are going to march from the parliament all
06:13the way to the election commission. This
06:15protest will be joined by all opposition MPs, including Rajya Sabha and Lok Sabha from opposition parties. And we all
06:24know the very demand that they have been making, which is to seek removal of the CAC
06:30Gyanesh Kumar and also to, you know, get an independent probe initiated against him. On 7th of October, all the
06:38parties of India bloc, which are going to be in the national capital, they will also, you know, march, they
06:47will also hold a protest. Now, this is something which is being organized under Delhi Congress unit and wherein they
06:53are going to rope in other like-minded parties as well. And on 8th, we all know that how a
06:59pan in
07:00India, you know, protests and demonstrations are already lined up by the India bloc. So, clearly, it seems that they
07:05are only increasing the pressure on Chief Election Commission, on BJP, on incumbent regimes, saying that all is not well
07:13when it comes to the entire election process of the country. So, expect that they're going to continue to do
07:18so well.
07:18Right. And we'll be keeping an eye on that protest. Thank you very much, Rahul, for all that information. Now,
07:25clearly, this entire issue is escalating. We bring you this report.
07:45The political war over SIR is heating up by the hour.
07:51Mumbai witnessed a rare show of opposition unity as Thakre cousins Raj and Uddhav came together on the streets, targeting
08:01the Chief Election Commissioner.
08:29Just a day after the Congress-led protest in Mumbai, the Shiva Sena UBT and the MNS joined hands for
08:38a massive joint march, alleging irregularities in the electoral process and stepping up the demand for the CEC's resignation.
08:49Congress and the NCPSP leaders also joined the stir. But the political temperature isn't rising only in Maharashtra.
08:58In Delhi, Amadmi Party and the left parties too hit the streets, protesting against the SIR exercise and stepping up
09:07its attack on the Election Commission.
09:36Three women journalists have also alleged that police sexually harassed them during October 3rd protest at Jantar Mantar, prompting a
09:46crime branch probe.
09:48And in Hyderabad, the AIMIM chief, Asaduddin OAC, launched a fresh offensive.
09:54He has accused the BJP and RSS workers of filing false forms 7 objections and has demanded action from the
10:04Election Commission and the Telangana Chief Electoral Officer.
10:26OAC has warned that the opposition will not remain silent and a much bigger agitation could be on the cards.
10:45The sharpest political escalation has come from the Congress President.
10:50Malik Arjun Kargay has called recent elections illegal and has demanded the dissolution of the Lok Sabah and State Assemblies.
11:26The BJP, however, has been released.
11:28has hit back hard, accusing the Congress of having a selective approach towards the Election Commission.
11:35Its charge, when Congress wins, the EC is fine.
11:39When Congress loses, the EC becomes flawed.
12:08And amidst this political slugfest, the NHRC has taken cognizance of allegations and the EC is fine.
12:13Involving the participation of minor children in the recent Mumbai protest.
12:20And has directed Mumbai police to examine digital evidence and investigate the matter.
12:29The SIR battle is no longer just an electoral issue.
12:33It has become a full-blown political war over the Election Commission itself.
12:37And with both sides digging in, the question now is, who blinks first?
12:44With Bureau Report, India Today.
12:50And joining us now in this show are our guests.
12:53Let me introduce them.
12:54Susie Benj Shah, spokesperson of Shiv Sena Shinde.
12:58Rajesh Kalapa, national spokesperson of Congress.
13:01Pradeep Bhandari, national spokesperson of the BJP.
13:04Join us now.
13:04Welcome.
13:05I begin with you, Mr. Bhandari.
13:07You know, this controversy does push us to ask this question that shouldn't a person sitting on a constitutional post,
13:14and one of the highest constitutional posts, be above and beyond any sort of a doubt?
13:26An individual who is sitting on a constitutional post is accountable to the Constitution of India.
13:31He is not accountable to the executive, neither is he accountable to the political opposition.
13:36The Supreme Court of India in 2024, when it was listing the case of SIR, said, and I quote,
13:41that SIR is necessary for a free and fair election.
13:44So, the Guardian of the Constitution of India Supreme Court, not once but multiple times,
13:50has said that the SIR is necessary for a free and fair election.
13:53Along with that, the Supreme Court has not even passed one judgment, one observation,
13:57against the Election Commission.
13:58All of us who study the law and have basic common sense of constitutional law
14:02and know the Constitution of India, know that Election Commission is a body,
14:06does not pass a judgment unilaterally.
14:08In fact, it is passed through consensus.
14:10And that is what you saw in note of the Election Commission.
14:13In fact, if any Election Commissioner had an issue with the Chief Election Commissioner,
14:17they could veto it by ganging up, as you saw in the case of N. Gopal Swami
14:20versus Naveen Chawla when Mr. S. Y. Qureshi's vote was...
14:24So, you feel that the questions being raised by the opposition are frivolous?
14:33They are political questions.
14:34They do not have any legitimacy because with the same machinery,
14:37the Congress Party has won elections in multiple states
14:39and it was completely silent in Mump
14:41when it won the elections in Kerala,
14:43when it won the election in Karnataka or in Himachal Pradesh.
14:45So, for that amount of time, it was completely silent,
14:48which tells you that all of this is mere political criticism
14:51because they have understood that democratically now,
14:54they are not able to get the support of the people of India.
14:56So, they are attempting to create a democratic deficit
14:58and people are seeing through this.
15:00This is why in Mumbai, common people oppose this B team of the Amadmi Party.
15:04You have individuals coming out across streets and opposing them.
15:07Okay, Mr. Bandari, let's take that argument that you are giving right now to Mr. Kalappa.
15:13Mr. Kalappa, Mr. Bandari says that it is very convenient for you
15:17when you win the elections and you do not raise questions on the ballot,
15:21but now you are raising questions when you lose.
15:24What is your answer to that?
15:26See, I think it's an absolutely ridiculous argument,
15:31which I think, let's assume,
15:33the BJP has, I think, today two MLAs in Kerala
15:37and given the state of their popularity,
15:40supposing the BJP were declared the winners,
15:42what would happen?
15:43It would result in a public revolt.
15:45If they had won and say Tamil Nadu,
15:48what would have happened?
15:49It would have resulted in a public revolt.
15:51So, it doesn't mean that we are saying
15:52the BJP is a set of fools.
15:55They also employ the election commission
16:00effectively where the people
16:02are giving them 30% of the vote,
16:0525% of the vote.
16:06So, the election commission helps them
16:08to cross the line.
16:10So, this continuous obstacles
16:12are being placed in the path of the
16:14other opposition parties
16:16to ensure that the BJP is ahead.
16:18And this is exactly what Mr. Rahul Gandhi has said,
16:22that time and time again,
16:23we have seen that anti-incumbency
16:25works against other political parties,
16:29doesn't work against the BJP.
16:31Now, point is this.
16:32If the BJP were so popular,
16:34as the BJP spokesperson is now claiming,
16:37the BJP national president
16:39makes an announcement and says that,
16:42look, why don't you all light a dia
16:44because it's Prime Minister Modi's birthday
16:46on the 17th of September.
16:48Have you personally,
16:49has any of your viewers
16:50personally seen anybody lighting a lamp?
16:54Mr. Kalabha, now we are, you know,
16:56sort of going away from the main issue,
16:58but the core issue...
16:59The point is that it's peak.
17:00I'll answer that.
17:01Okay.
17:02Okay, go ahead, Mr. Bhandari.
17:08I think it's a very childish and immature argument.
17:11If I extend that argument,
17:13he's calling that Rahul Gandhi,
17:14who is one Rahul Gandhi
17:16in the Gandhi Varda family,
17:17is one from Rai Barili,
17:18and Amiti is illegal.
17:19So I think when 2024,
17:20Lok Sabha election took place,
17:22they should have resigned
17:22and not been taken,
17:23and not taken oath
17:24as the Member of Parliament.
17:25Before the current CEC
17:27was the Chief Election Commissioner,
17:28we won 45 elections and lost 20.
17:30So it's a very childish and immature argument.
17:33And please note,
17:33certain political protesters
17:34who come on the street
17:35do not represent the Indian democracy
17:37where there is a silent majority.
17:39And the representative democracy
17:41is governed by a silent majority,
17:42not by street anarchy,
17:44point number one.
17:44And I have a simple,
17:45very basic question.
17:46If they believe
17:47that the entire system is flawed,
17:48please ask D.K. Shiv Kumar
17:49to do resignation in Karnataka
17:51because Karnataka is a bipolar fight
17:52between the BJP and Congress.
17:54Ask Mr. Sukku to resign
17:55from Himachal Pradesh.
17:56Ask Mr. Rahul Gandhi
17:57to tender his resignation
17:58as a Member of Parliament.
17:59Ask Mrs. Vardara
18:00to tender his resignation.
18:02And say that you will not fight
18:03the upcoming elections
18:03which is there.
18:04When the EVM case went to the court,
18:07what did the Supreme Court say?
18:08When you win, EVMs are fine.
18:10When you lose, EVMs are wrong.
18:11So this is a settled question.
18:13This is just old wine in new bottom
18:15and people are seeing through it.
18:17Okay, Mr. Kalappa,
18:18I do see that you have
18:19a counter for that.
18:20But let me please bring in...
18:22I'll just say one thing.
18:24I'll just say one thing.
18:25Just one thing.
18:26See, I'm only trying to say
18:28that I think as a matter of strategy,
18:31the BJP which used to be run
18:33by Chanakya's and so on and so forth,
18:35they have caught themselves in a bind.
18:37No political party should be seen
18:39as standing with an election commission
18:41which is so completely...
18:43which are coming up in 2027 and 2028
18:46which elections will be won by the BJP
18:48in the Congress.
18:48And today the BJP is standing totally
18:51with the election commission.
18:53I can assure you.
18:54Arse came.
18:54Let's just put a pause on that.
18:57Let's put a pause on that
18:58because it's becoming difficult
18:59to understand both of you.
19:01Let me take the conversation
19:02to Ms. Shah as well.
19:03She's been waiting patiently.
19:05Ms. Shah, your party has had an experience
19:08with the election commission as well
19:09because you've gone to them,
19:11you've had your own pleas there.
19:13While Trinamul chooses,
19:15that is the Mamata faction,
19:17chooses to assail it,
19:18you choose to support the election commission.
19:21So what is your stand
19:22on what Congress is saying?
19:25Now I will just say this,
19:27that what Mr. Kalappa is trying to sell
19:29to the nation is a figment of imagination.
19:32And the people I've seen through it,
19:34as rightly pointed out Mr. Vandari,
19:36Karnataka, they were neck and neck.
19:39How could Congress win through
19:40if so-called manoeuvring has happened?
19:43So it is election commission
19:44is a constitutional body
19:45and it says so.
19:47And yes, you can question
19:48the election commission.
19:50You could question.
19:51And the election commission,
19:52rightly so,
19:53has come up with corrective measures.
19:54While the so-called protests
19:56are going on,
19:57they are nothing but spreading rumors,
19:59lies,
20:00because none of them,
20:01any of, none of them
20:02or either of them
20:03have come out with an affidavit
20:05giving out specific instances.
20:07No instances have been given.
20:10The matter is before the Supreme Court
20:11on the 5th of October.
20:13We have no doubt in the mind
20:14that as earlier in the month of May,
20:16But let's look at the political aspect
20:18of it as well,
20:19Ms. Shah.
20:21The two Thakre brothers
20:22have joined hands.
20:23We are seeing massive protests
20:25in Mumbai as well.
20:27Thakre brothers have joined hands
20:29as a matter of convenience.
20:31Is there a matter of relevance?
20:32As far as one party is concerned,
20:35they are extinct.
20:36And the other party
20:37has not a single MLA,
20:39MP or a corporator.
20:40So therefore,
20:41it is there,
20:42it is,
20:42they are there
20:43because it is there
20:45for their relevance,
20:46not about Marathi Manus
20:47or Mumbaikar
20:48or SIR.
20:49And I will also tell you this,
20:51when they were in BMC,
20:53what they have,
20:53have they adhered to
20:55and left to the Marathi Manus?
20:57No.
20:57They have,
20:58the people of India,
20:59the people of Maharashtra,
21:01the people of Mumbai
21:02have given resounding mandate
21:04to the Mahayuti government
21:05and Shiv Sena.
21:06We are committed
21:08that not a single person
21:10who is eligible
21:11should be left out.
21:12Everyone should be included.
21:14But this 13 crore
21:16that has been ongoing,
21:17let us understand,
21:18that includes people
21:20who have died.
21:20It includes people
21:22who have shifted residences.
21:24And that's not final.
21:26We have taken,
21:27the commission
21:29has taken corrective measures.
21:32They have ensured
21:33that everyone is heard.
21:35The BLA is going to go
21:36to their homes.
21:37Right, Misha.
21:38I'll quickly shift our focus
21:40to Mr. Kalapa
21:41because...
21:42Lastly, lastly...
21:43I'll come back to you
21:44for that argument, ma'am.
21:45One second.
21:46One second.
21:46The problem arises
21:48because these opposition parties
21:50don't have foot soldiers
21:51on the ground.
21:53They don't have BLAs
21:54who would go trace out
21:56if there is wrong.
21:57So, they are just
21:59making a fake narrative.
22:00Okay.
22:01Having a facade
22:02which is going to break...
22:03Okay, let's now give
22:05Mr. Kalapa an opportunity.
22:07Mr. Kalapa,
22:07while you have
22:08your argument ready,
22:09I also want to add
22:10a question to it.
22:11You know,
22:12Malikarjun Kharge
22:13says that you should
22:15dissolve all the assemblies.
22:17He lists out a list of it
22:19and switch to paper ballot.
22:21I mean, this is
22:22a little bit of a high...
22:24a tall order
22:25that you are asking for.
22:27See, the mood of the nation
22:28is such.
22:29I don't think that
22:31anybody can deny
22:32that this is the mood
22:33of the nation.
22:34Whether in Bombay,
22:34whether in Delhi,
22:35whether in other parts
22:36of the country.
22:37And today,
22:37the BJP is completely
22:38on the back foot.
22:39They have really
22:40compromised their own position
22:42by standing with
22:44a compromised
22:45election commission.
22:46I don't know
22:47why the BJP
22:48has to make
22:49such a big blunder.
22:50This is the worst
22:51political blunder
22:52and they call themselves
22:54Chanakya.
22:54So, this is the worst
22:56political blunder,
22:57one.
22:57Two,
22:58as far as, say,
22:59Karnataka is concerned,
23:00now we have recorded
23:01that nearly 44 lakh votes
23:04were being sought
23:05to be deleted
23:05and all of them belonging
23:07to particular cross-sections
23:09of society.
23:10I, BJP workers,
23:12one has filed
23:147,000 deletions
23:16under Form 7.
23:17And these are the
23:19kind of deletions
23:20which are being worked out
23:21by members of the
23:22Bharatiya Janata Party.
23:23How do they do it?
23:24They have a printed form
23:26in which the epic number
23:28of the voter
23:29has been given.
23:30At least 7 to 8 people
23:33who have been caught on this
23:35have already stated
23:37that, no, sorry,
23:38we are wrong.
23:39Prime Minister,
23:40they have already apologized.
23:41They have already said
23:42that, look,
23:44we were, you know,
23:45completely wrong
23:45in having done
23:46what we have been doing.
23:47So, this is the extent
23:48of disenfranchisement
23:50that the BJP is doing.
23:52Okay.
23:52So, this is the kind of thing
23:53that we are now,
23:55you know,
23:55throwing open to the public.
23:56And this is the reason
23:58why the public
23:58is reacting in such a manner.
24:00Okay.
24:01You're raising
24:02the Telangana issue here.
24:03Why are you not
24:04giving it in writing?
24:05Why are you not
24:06giving an affidavit?
24:08Simple question.
24:09When you go before
24:10the Supreme Court also,
24:11you have to give it
24:12an affidavit.
24:13Why are you not
24:14giving it in writing,
24:16specific cases,
24:18specific,
24:19specific complaints,
24:20because it is only
24:22that you have to whip up
24:23public...
24:23I think finally
24:23the Telangana issue
24:25has been given
24:25by the Congress
24:26I think...
24:27Am I right,
24:28Mr. Kalappa?
24:29Finally, that has...
24:30Telangana,
24:31I'm Karnataka.
24:3244 lakh in Karnataka.
24:35More in Telangana.
24:36Similar modus operandi.
24:38Exactly the same way.
24:40The Congress workers'
24:41case has been mentioned
24:43along with 30 family members.
24:45Mr. BJP is so popular.
24:46They have given
24:47one in writing.
24:48Mr. Bhandari,
24:49I'll now ask you,
24:52of course,
24:53you have your argument
24:54ready as I can see,
24:55but one quick question
24:57as a rejoinder.
24:58Why is BJP
25:00defending the election commission?
25:02Let the election commission
25:03do the job itself.
25:07Ma'am,
25:08why is the Congress party
25:10doing a press conference
25:11on base of a source-based story
25:12of a newspaper
25:13which quoted
25:14two election commissioners
25:15which we've never seen
25:16in public domain?
25:17So what is the Congress party
25:18quoting?
25:19Is Congress quoting somebody
25:20from Mars
25:20or the Congress hypothetically
25:21quoting two election commissioners
25:23which was rejected
25:23by the election commission
25:24together by the three CCs?
25:26In fact,
25:26today the Congress
25:27should apologize
25:27to all the three CCs.
25:29What was Rahul Gandhi quoting?
25:30Rahul Gandhi quoted
25:31quote-unquote
25:31two election commissioners,
25:32right?
25:33And in fact,
25:33padded on the back
25:34that they did a good job.
25:35After that,
25:35the three election commissioners
25:36came out and said
25:37what Rahul is saying
25:38is lying.
25:39All of our decisions
25:39are consensus.
25:40What has happened is
25:41Rahul Gandhi in Congress party
25:42is a lazy party.
25:43It has understood
25:44that a democraticality
25:45is completely cut off
25:46from the ground.
25:47It has lost 90 elections.
25:48It has not repeated
25:49a single government.
25:51So now it is attempting
25:52to create a democratic deficit.
25:53They start up in the morning,
25:55get up in the morning,
25:55decide which way
25:56they have to do a protest.
25:58Then they do a protest
25:58and then they do party
25:59because their 6.8 lakh BLOs
26:02across states
26:03have not filed
26:03a single complaint
26:04in the Supreme Court.
26:05Same drama
26:06they had done in Bihar.
26:07When it went to the
26:07Bombay High Court,
26:08Bombay High Court,
26:09in fact,
26:09when the Maharashtra case
26:11went to the Bombay High Court,
26:12Bombay High Court said
26:12our time is wasted.
26:13The Bihar case
26:14went to the Supreme Court.
26:15Nothing was found on evidence.
26:16So the Congress party
26:17is a party
26:18which is only and only
26:20become a real waste party.
26:21And I am not saying
26:21this what Rahul Gandhi said.
26:23Let's take the case of Bengal.
26:24Congress is saying
26:25that the vote will be in Bengal.
26:26Listen to what Rahul Gandhi
26:28was saying before elections.
26:40So the Congress has started
26:42to hate the people
26:42of the country.
26:43Everybody is seeing
26:44through the Congress party.
26:45Let them enjoy their protests.
26:46The silent majority
26:47will give a befitting reply
26:48to these Congresses
26:49and they are digging
26:50their own graves,
26:51political graves
26:51by doing all of this.
26:53A silent minority
26:54cannot,
26:55or a street anarchy
26:56cannot hijack the democracy.
26:58This is not what
26:59I have said.
26:59This is what
27:00Baba Sahib Bhimram Betkar
27:01has said.
27:01Okay, Mr. Kalappa
27:03already has his hand up.
27:04Yes, please go ahead.
27:05See, this silent majority argument,
27:08I must tell you,
27:10I have made use of that argument
27:12in 2011.
27:13As the Congress spokesperson,
27:15I have made use of
27:17this argument in 2011.
27:18And I can tell you,
27:20in 2014,
27:21when the wave came,
27:23I didn't even know
27:23what hit me.
27:24So I can assure my friend
27:26in the BJP
27:27that a similar argument
27:28is being made by him
27:30and he will not know
27:31what hits them
27:32in 2029.
27:33Mr. Narendra Modi
27:34will again be the Prime Minister
27:35and it will not know,
27:36you will not know
27:37what has hit you.
27:38You have got a pattern
27:39in 2018,
27:40you got an impeachment motion
27:41against the chief
27:42of India,
27:42Pakmishra.
27:43Please remain
27:44in the state
27:46of complete denial
27:48and I encourage you
27:49to remain in the state
27:52of denial.
27:53Yeah, yeah, okay, okay.
27:57Given to you.
27:59Please remain in denial.
28:01I encourage the BJP
28:02to remain in denial.
28:04In fact,
28:04you should
28:05fully support
28:07the election commission.
28:08I have
28:09barchas in favor
28:10of the election commission.
28:11This is what I encourage you to do.
28:12I'll give the last minute
28:13to Ms. Shah
28:14because
28:16Ms. Shah,
28:18please go ahead.
28:19I think
28:19we need to ask
28:20the gentleman
28:20to pipe down
28:21a little bit.
28:22Ms. Shah,
28:22please,
28:22you have about
28:2350 seconds.
28:25I just have to say this
28:26that as far as
28:27Maharashtra is concerned,
28:28Mahayuti is concerned,
28:29we are committed
28:30to ensuring
28:31all elected,
28:32all citizens of India
28:34should be given
28:35a right to vote.
28:36Stop spreading
28:36wrong narratives.
28:38People are with us.
28:39People have seen
28:40to this
28:40and you will see
28:41in the near future
28:42that not only
28:43the people
28:44who are
28:45supposed to be
28:46voting
28:47will be with us,
28:48we are committed
28:49to ensuring
28:50that justice is done.
28:52And Uddhav Thakre,
28:54the brothers,
28:54should not spread
28:56false narrative.
28:58As far as
28:59the unity is concerned
29:00in Maharashtra
29:00is concerned,
29:01today,
29:02Sharath Pawar
29:02has not said
29:03a word against
29:04the SIR.
29:05As far as
29:05the Thakre brothers
29:06are concerned,
29:07one don't want
29:08to contest
29:08the elections,
29:09other is fighting
29:10for sustenance.
29:11So therefore,
29:12let us understand
29:13that we are
29:14committed
29:15for a transparent
29:16electoral process,
29:17including SIR.
29:19Be rest assured
29:20what is right
29:21will be done.
29:22Every Indian
29:23will have a right
29:24to vote.
29:25Okay.
29:26That's,
29:26I guess,
29:27is the most important
29:28line that you have said.
29:29Every Indian
29:30has the right
29:31to vote
29:31and we ensure
29:33that in no way
29:34that is taken away
29:34from him or her.
29:36Thank you very much
29:37all of you
29:37for joining
29:38in this conversation.
