00:15the story around the NFL right now is of course the injury to Jaden Daniels it felt so good last
00:22week Doc to see Jaden get through an entire game and start to get his feet wet in the fourth

00:29nine of 11 90 yards in that final quarter and then you saw him get in his groove again and

00:35comes crashing down because of what I think was a terrible decision and I think it's not necessarily
00:42the popular take I've seen a lot of people saying that the right call is to go for the touchdown

00:47three seconds you're going to get the ball coming out of the half you can make it 10 we said

00:56lifetime while it was happening we're both watching the screen are you willing to lose
01:05it all on this because if you don't get it even if you weren't injured it's not how you want

01:11in the locker room it's just not it's just instead of getting some points knowing you're getting the
01:16ball and now we have to live with the fact that they're celebrating there for setting records
01:23on you and the whole thing could make me feel worse about it but it's big boy football
01:31I really dislike the decision and obviously hindsight is 2020 if they get a touchdown everybody
01:37is celebrating it of course but in that situation where you have all of the momentum that's the
01:42intangible thing about the NFL is Washington had everything going for it in that moment Dallas
01:50Dallas was lost defensively they had no answer for Jaden and everything that the commanders were
01:56doing offensively if you just get three that's a win for Dallas defensively they would have been
02:01thanking the heavens they only gave up three on that drive and then you get the ball to open the
02:06half I just I really dislike the decision to go for that one because I'm afraid you don't come
02:11away with any points and obviously it's a freak accident that Paul steps on Jaden and this injury
02:16happens again but the end of the day it was avoidable it was a bad decision in my opinion
02:22and we said it in real time correct it's not like we were sitting here saying go for we said
02:27take the three come back at the half um anything that happens now you I can also come back and
02:33say
02:34well how's the guy get his foot stepped on they only had three plays in Detroit so how much work
02:41did these guys actually get on that particular play on that in that particular situation because
02:48this is the thing the difference between practice and games what's the difference in when they went
02:53over this in practice the adrenaline so one guy is pulling out faster than he does in practice
03:01that's the difference between practice and game situations you cannot duplicate it because your
03:08body's not pumped up that's why as ridiculous as some think preseason reps are important as hell
03:16because it's real game situation you're going to be more likely to perform in the same manner in
03:23which you would in a real game that's why Andy and the Chiefs go hard and others don't and that's

03:39people prepared moments like this is exactly what I'm coming up with right or wrong in my heart of
03:46hearts I feel like when you under prepare people for game situations this is what can happen

04:40well I only think the one last year when he had him in against the Seahawks down five touchdowns
04:46could top it listen it's really simple guys to me the key plays of the last two games show how
04:53talent efficient we are in the interior offensive line other than Cosme who now he may be out last
05:00week average at best allegretti gets blown up on the stupid two-point conversion attempt or so key
05:05this week tomato can Chris Paul who's sucking raw eggs out there he gets pushed back into Daniels
05:12and the dislocated elbow follows to me this is on Adam Peters he essentially ignored this weakness
05:18all offseason we've got close to 40 million in cap space available talking about destroying an
05:24opportunity to win with an uber talented quarterback on a rookie contract and so yeah I'm not happy with
05:30either Peters or Quinn at this point at all Doc they're unprepared you're right you got to remember
05:36Quinn is the guy who has the worst Super Bowl loss in NFL history after blowing the biggest league
05:42okay we don't seem to have reasonable answers at either corner or place kicker either I mean
05:50the kid with the big leg is gagged on long kicks in consecutive divisional road games in perfect
05:56conditions as for corner well apparently Peters has failed not only with Sandler still who's
06:01completely regressed but we can't forget the Lattimore trade and who knows when Amos is going to get
06:08healthy and we've been through about a half dozen kickers and barely more two seasons yeah Kevin
06:13that's that's a great call I strong point look it's a strong point to bring up maybe the way Adam
06:20Peters has fallen short of of getting things prepared talent wise on this roster because we are screaming
06:27the entire month of August Doc about the center position the interior offensive line Allen ready
06:32he's banged up and here's the thing this is what they sold to us they said when he's
06:37healthy he's going to be just fine we like Allen ready he got hurt both times he practiced
06:43both times he practiced he got hurt and now you're having issues on the interior offensive line I thought
06:50they actually held up fairly well for especially in the first half of this game they did a good job
06:54they gave Jaden clean pockets he was able to navigate and start to scramble and do the stuff that makes
06:58him special but still at the end of the day that the points on the secondary are great as well
07:04that they are still devoid of talent in necessary areas I think defensively they're better this year
07:09than they were it's it's kind of hard not to be better well yeah but they are better but they
07:14still
07:14have major issues in the secondary right now and when you're playing against Pickens Lamb and Dak
07:19you're going to get exposed yeah and they do it to everybody but the Giants you know it's it's it's

07:26either got to have cover skills or pressure and I thought based on our past meetings with them
07:33that's not why we didn't win the game but I get where you're coming from but you still had a
07:37chance
07:38to win you still had a chance to control your destiny and we didn't it's the most disappointing
07:44part of this whole thing how devastated are you listening right now that the quarterback is
07:51presumably out for a period of time 0-2 in a crucial year three for this regime and the
