00:17Whether they serve as side stories in larger adventures, or as the basis for an entire plot.

00:36Future Foundation
00:46While Future Foundation is technically also a Fantastic Four storyline, that really only makes us want it more.
00:52It follows Spidey joining the famous family after the death of the Human Torch.
00:56While Spider-Man's white suit has appeared in plenty of games, and there have been lots of nods to the
01:01Fantastic Four across his adventures, an actual team-up could be something really special.
01:08Great! It's just when I thought I might run out of Sable agents to hit!

01:14Spider-Man and Human Torch have one of the strongest friendships in comics, so it would make for an interesting
01:19narrative for him to take over the spot as a dying request.
01:23And, considering the Fantastic Four have never really gotten a great game themselves, giving us access to a roster of
01:29four would keep gameplay extra fresh.

01:39Hunted
01:40Prepare for the transfer tomorrow, and do not fail again.
01:46We may have only recently gotten a Kraven-centric video game in Marvel's Spider-Man 2, but we've got a
01:52different idea for this one.
01:542019's Hunted follows Spider-Man and a whole host of other animal-themed heroes and villains who are trapped by
02:00the hunter inside a force field in New York's Central Park.
02:02And they must defend against a group of wealthy, heavily-armed hunters.
02:06It would make the great basis for a retro-style beat-em-up, which has seen a resurgence in popularity
02:11in recent years.
02:19Kraven has help from Arcade, Taskmaster, and Black Ant, so there are some natural boss fights.
02:25And, in addition to Spidey, Captives include characters like Black Cat, the Lizard, and Scorpion, so there's your roster of
02:31playable characters.
02:33There's definitely some potential here.
02:35Is this the best you can do?
02:46Ultimate Spider-Man
02:48This is how it all began.
02:54Which, of course, leads to nonsense like this.
02:57The original iteration of Ultimate Spider-Man did get a video game back in 2005, and a pretty good one
03:03at that.
03:04But we're talking about the most recent run, which was published between 2024 and 2026, and is set in a
03:10different continuity.
03:11The story follows Peter as he's bitten by the radioactive spider in adulthood, already married to MJ with two kids.
03:18Is this for real?

03:24It's a unique spin on the hero's classic struggle between superhero and regular life.
03:29The 2005 game is now a cult classic, so it would be exciting to see the Ultimate Name return.
03:34Blending this story with the game's comic book style, which featured cel-shaded visuals and panelized cutscenes, would be really
03:42cool to see.
03:43But he's not here.

03:50Spider-Man 2099
03:52Miguel O'Hara, Spider-Man of the year 2099.
03:57That's me, ready to save the universe, and lookin' good while doing it.
04:01Miguel O'Hara, aka Spider-Man 2099, has appeared in several games over the years.
04:06But there has never really been one that actually focused on just him and his story.
04:11The closest we got were his segments in 2010's Shattered Dimensions and its sequel, Edge of Time.
04:16But even in those games, he was tied to Peter Parker.

04:28It would be great to get a game where O'Hara is the main focus, set completely in Marvel's futuristic
04:33offshoot.
04:34Taking on Alchemax and the other corrupt corporations of Nueva York sounds like a fun twist on Spider-Man's traditional
04:40stories.
04:41And we'd love to get our hands on a more comprehensive moveset for Miguel's abilities,
04:45which include more animalistic qualities like retractable claws and talons and a poisonous bite.
04:53If you keep bragging about your fancy wings, let's see you land without them.
04:59Spider Island

05:03I don't know how these things survived.
05:05We should clear it out.
05:07Okay, let's make some noise.

05:12You gotta save these people!
05:15Anybody could be Spider-Man, but what happens when everyone is?
05:18This 2011 storyline sees everyone in Manhattan suddenly gain the same abilities as Peter Parker.
05:24You can imagine the level of chaos that hits the streets, as everyday folk and criminals alike now have the
05:30power of a superhero.
05:40That chaos is exactly why we think it would be fun to explore in a video game.
05:45The comics bring in other heroes from the Fantastic Four and the Avengers to help Spider-Man contain the situation,
05:50scenes that could be recreated in impressive set pieces.
05:54Plus, given how deadly Spidey's rogues tend to be,
05:57just imagine some of them with Spider-Man's extra abilities.
06:00That would put a new angle on bosses we've fought multiple times over the years.
06:05Man, these things are tough!
06:13Identity Crisis
06:25When it comes to this storyline, the reason we'd like to see it adapted is the wealth of gameplay opportunities
06:30it could offer.
06:31It follows Spider-Man after he falls into Norman Osborn's trap and is framed for murder.
06:36And in order to stop the villain and clear his name, Peter adopts several other alter egos.
06:41They each use different gear and fight differently in an attempt to hide that he's Spider-Man.
06:53There's a natural progression hook of discovering and perfecting the different styles of each alter ego.
06:58And being able to switch between them on the fly or for different missions sounds like a great gameplay loop.
07:04While we have gotten their costumes in a handful of games, there's more that could be done here.
07:11Time for some tough luck.

07:16Spider-Man Life Story
07:18Where could help?
07:21Put him.
07:26One of Spider-Man's more introspective storylines, Life Story is a miniseries where each issue is set in a different
07:32decade
07:33and focuses on the major canonical events throughout the character's publication.
07:37Except, unlike the never-ending status quo of the mainline universe, Peter Parker ages in real time.
07:43The story recontextualizes Peter's time as a hero, with his dedication bearing more weight with age.
07:55There's a lot of potential to expand on this in a video game.
07:58Different art styles for each decade, as well as unique takes for bosses depending on when they appear.
08:04Plus, a realistic look at what his commitment means has a lot of narrative prospects,
08:08and could make players view him in a new light.
08:18Spider-Verse
08:19You always said it could have been anyone behind the man, so he was just the kid who happened to
08:25get fit.
08:25The Spider-Verse storyline was inspired by a video game itself, Shattered Dimensions.
08:30It's been adapted on TV, in movies, and been expanded on in the comics.
08:34And while the first movie got a mobile AR game, it deserves something bigger and bolder,
08:39considering how many characters both the comics and movies made the general public more aware of.
08:44Look, I've seen him in action. He's got... potential.
08:48A game where you control a team of different Spider-Heroes, with abilities best suited for different tasks, sounds fantastic.
08:55Different dimensions could come with different visual styles and mission types.
08:58Plus, we can't deny how awesome it would be having access to characters like Penny Parker, Spider-Ham, and Spider
09:05-Gwen,
09:06and so many other options in a single package.
09:11It's Penny time!
09:15The Clone Saga
09:23The original Clone Saga from the 70s was set directly after Gwen Stacy's death.
09:28It followed Spider-Man contending with clones of himself and Gwen, created by a new villain, the Jackal.
09:34The second run in the 90s, however, is the more popular one.
09:37It sees Peter's clone resurface, now under the name Ben Reilly, a.k.a. the Scarlet Spider.
09:43But with plenty of other clones popping up with far more nefarious intentions,
09:46it's naturally an overwhelming time in Peter's life.
09:56There's clearly a lot of narrative potential to expand on in a video game,
10:00but it would also focus on characters, namely Scarlet Spider and the Jackal,
10:04that haven't gotten a lot of opportunities to shine outside of the comics.
10:12Now that's an outcome nobody can argue with.

10:40Superior Spider-Man
10:48One of Spider-Man's most popular storylines of the modern era,
10:52and it isn't even about Peter Parker.
10:54Well, sort of.
10:55Superior Spider-Man follows Otto Octavius,
10:58whose consciousness is transferred into the body of Peter Parker.
11:01While he still protects NYC as a hero,
11:04someone like Otto clearly has a very different way of thinking and methods of attack.
11:09That could make for an interesting protagonist to embody,
11:12especially since part of Peter still remains in Otto's mind and communicates with him.
11:23We imagine his gameplay would be similar to Peter's for very obvious reasons,
11:27but more brutal and violent.
11:29Otto is not nearly as kind to criminals,
11:32with a viciousness that could be fun to unleash,
11:34and the ramifications of which could provide engaging character growth,
11:38just like the source material.
