00:06and Tunku Nadzaruddin Tuanku Jaafar has been cancelled.
00:10Quoting a source, Sinar Harian reported that the meeting,
00:13scheduled for 9am, was called off due to security concerns.
00:17The meeting was intended as an ice-breaking session
00:20to build rapport between Tunku Nadzaruddin, Ismail,
00:23and the former EXCO members.
00:25The four purported undangs,
00:27the Tunku Besar of Tampin and Shah Bandar of Sungai Ujung
00:31were also expected to attend.
00:33The cancellation comes amid a constitutional crisis in Negeri Sembilan.
00:38On September 17th, the Attorney General's chambers
00:41rejected a proclamation purporting to remove
00:44Yang Di-Pertuan Besar Tuanku Muris Tuanku Munawir as state ruler,
00:48as well as a subsequent announcement by the State Executive Council affirming it.
00:53The AGC declared the proclamation invalid,
00:56saying the Menteri Besar and EXCO members
00:58had no unilateral power to remove the state ruler.
01:01On September 20th, Tuanku Muris revoked the appointments
01:05of 10 Executive Council members,
01:07citing breaches of their oaths of office.
01:09Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim was granted an audience
01:12with Tuanku Muris the following day.
