00:13Two of its own election commissioners have repeatedly raised concerns about the centralized control of the electoral roll software of
00:22the manner in which Form 6 was being pushed, including giving us instances in the case of the software where
00:29ground level officers were not implementing or were not allowed to implement decisions they were legally empowered to take or
00:37they were overruled.
00:38So there is only one credible way now to settle this. An independent forensic audit of the software and its
00:46audit trails, every addition, deletion, modification and reversal across every state and constituency.
00:52Who made the change, where, when, under whose authorization and whether the statutory officer's decision was overridden must all be
01:01established.
01:02This is not about the integrity of the voter list, not of, this is about the integrity of the voter
01:07list, not about partisan politics.
01:10And as the Chief Election Commissioner, Gyanesh Kumar cannot escape responsibility by saying the commission functions collectively.
01:19Also, his two colleagues must also come on record and tell us whether they eventually agreed with the decisions that
01:26were being taken.
01:27The buck must stop somewhere, my friends, and frankly, it must stop with the Chief Election Commissioner.
01:34He must be the one who must answer. And if he doesn't do so satisfactorily, then no election, I repeat,
01:42no election under Gyanesh Kumar's leadership can be seen as credible and honest.
