00:00Well, it's that time of year again, guys. It's time for First Things First with Santa Anita full meet starting
00:06this coming Friday.
00:08We'll have eight races on Friday, followed by an awful lot of graded stakes on Saturday.
00:13We'll get into those just a little bit later on, but I did get a chance to catch up with
00:18Nate Newby, the GM at Santa Anita, to talk about all things opening weekend.
00:30We're excited to kick off the autumn meet on Friday. It's one of the favorite time of year with six
00:35weeks of racing that's action packed.
00:37We have 26 stakes races and seven Breeders' Cup win and you're in.
00:41So it's a meet starts off strong and runs through Breeders' Cup simulcast where we have live racing to finish
00:49out the meet.
00:50So it's fun. And opening Saturday, I know Zoe's excited about the English pub day on the apron.
00:56So you get food, music and some good English beer. So it should be a fun weekend.
