00:07hold a bilateral meeting in the Oval Office of the White House.
00:12Trump and Xi participated in a military review in the Rose Garden
00:16with military band members positioned on the roof of the West Wing.
00:20The two leaders and the spouses watched as other musicians dressed
00:23in colonial wear and white wigs played.
00:26The military review is a customary feature of the state visits at the White House
00:31but it is usually done on the South Lawn.
00:34So we're seeing a change of location this time while this two-day Xi Jinping visit
00:39is happening in the US.
00:41These are the visuals that we're getting in of their meet.
00:43You can see that the band members are positioned on the roof playing for them
00:48and this is happening as the two-day meet is underway.
00:52Of course, US and China are going to discuss important things
00:55but also it is important to see what really will come out of these discussions.
00:59They would be discussing, of course, the wars happening on two fronts
01:03and they have also the issues including trade and Taiwan as well.
01:08Now we would have to really understand and see how these two days pan out
01:12for the bilateral meet which is started
01:15and now we're getting these visuals of US and China meeting two important parts meeting together
01:21and they're holding a bilateral meeting in the Oval Office of the White House.

01:35and over the next two days we will see discussions happening over trade,
01:40over economy, over also the wars which are happening in Iran and Russia and Ukraine as well

01:49and we've also been seeing a lot of media presence capturing a lot of their visuals
01:55as they're meeting.
01:55It's a historic meet that is also happening.
01:58President Xi Jinping is present in Washington US for the next two days
02:03as the bilateral is going to happen there
02:06and we're also getting how these two leaders are meeting
02:10and going to discuss important issues right from economy, trade
02:14as well as what really happens with wars that are happening on these two fronts.

02:40What are some of the important issues that they're also going to discuss now?
02:45Well, the meeting just ended.
02:47Xi Jinping has left the White House as we speak.
02:50Literally like two minutes ago, President Trump came out to see him off.
02:55We were also told that President Donald Trump took Xi Jinping to give him a tour
02:59of the ballroom and the helipad, the newly built helipad that he has been asking for for a while.
03:05Looks like it was a good meeting.
03:06We're still going to get initial comments from our sourcing inside the White House.
03:10Both the leaders are expected to meet again in the evening.
03:13There's going to be a state dinner.
03:14So we'll see a lot of important people across from the U.S. coming down to attend the state dinner
03:20with President Xi Jinping.
03:22And look, you know, I mean, there was everything was, according to the American side, everything was on the table.
03:28You know, you talk about Taiwan, you talk about supply chain, we have elements, energy security,
03:33talking about India-Pacific and the strategic competition in AI, which is something President Donald Trump also mentioned earlier this
03:40morning.
03:41So we'll have to wait and watch when the results come.
03:43We did know that there would not be any joint presser, which is a common thing.
03:47Usually, whenever there is a head of state that comes on a state visit, there is a press briefing, there
03:52is a joint press.
03:53That did not happen.
03:54That should have idly happened.
03:55So we do not know.
03:56We'll never get a chance to ask Xi Jinping what he had to say about this meeting.
04:00But we do know that President Trump will offer some kind of comments.
04:03And then everybody has to wait for those statements.
04:06We're also being told that there will be two different statements coming from the sides.
04:09There's going to be the American side that will release their version and the Chinese side.
04:12And that will tell us exactly how this all went.
04:14But looking at the visuals, looking at how Xi Jinping was welcomed in the White House,
04:20looking at the fact that President Donald Trump came out to see him off,
04:23that tells us that things must have felt better in that one-and-a-half-hour meeting inside the White
04:30House today.
04:31Right.
04:32So we're getting the sense that the meeting did go well.
04:35But, you know, traditionally, we've seen China and U.S. don't really see eye-to-eye.
04:38And especially when it comes to, you know, there's a lot of wars happening in Iran also and in Russia.
04:45And we know China and Russia are so close.
04:47Do you think there could be a breakthrough in the sense of anything on those discussions,
04:53on those topic of discussions as well?
04:54Or even if we look at trade and what we could really see through after this bilateral gets over?
05:02Well, the bilateral is over.
05:03I mean, yeah, you mean the visit, which will be in two days.
05:05Yes.
05:06The thing is, you know, you pick any topic.
05:08You pick AI.
05:09You pick, you know, in the Pacific.
05:11You pick Russia.
05:12You pick Iran.
05:13I mean, both sides are on the opposite ends of the spectrum.
05:15So those things would have been discussed.
05:18You know, the one of the things that President Trump has said is that, you know,
05:21he would look at other countries also helping out in terms of ending those two wars.
05:25And I'm pretty sure that would have come up also something that would have also come up is the energy
05:30imports from Russia.
05:32The China tops that list and China has been threatened by the Americans to be able to put 100 percent
05:38tariff on it.
05:39So we'll have to wait and watch.
05:41You know, as I said, you know, we have to wait.
05:42There's these two days that we have.
05:45We'll have to see how things unfold.
05:47President Donald Trump, we know, will offer some comments.
05:49We do not know when.
05:51But let's wait for the readouts.
05:52The meeting, according to people that we know, went well.
05:56We do not know how well.
05:57And we'll have to see if those tangible outcomes are actually captured in the readouts that we are able to
06:04see sometime,
06:05probably an hour or two hours from now.
06:07Right.
06:08So the bilateral meeting is over and we're getting the sense that it went well.
06:12But how well it really went, we'll really have to wait for the statements to come out.
