01:34Alleluia
01:40Psalm 37
01:44Do not fret when wicked men seem to succeed
01:48Do not envy evildoers for they will quickly dry up like grass and wither away like plants
01:56Trust in the Lord and do what is right settle in the land and maintain your integrity
02:03Then you will take delight in the Lord and he will answer your prayers
02:08Commit your future to the Lord trust in him and he will act on your behalf
02:15He will vindicate you in broad daylight and publicly defend your just cause
02:21Wait patiently for the Lord wait confidently for him
02:25Do not fret over the apparent success of a sinner, a man who carries out wicked schemes
02:32Do not be angry and frustrated
02:34Do not fret, that only leads to trouble
02:39Wicked men will be wiped out
02:41But those who rely on the Lord are the ones who will possess the land
02:47Evil men will soon disappear
02:49He will stare at the spots where they once were
02:52But they will be gone
02:55But the oppressed will possess the land
02:58And enjoy great prosperity
03:02Evil men plot against the godly
03:04And viciously attack them
03:06The Lord laughs in disgust at them
03:10For he knows that their day is coming
03:14Evil men draw their swords and prepare their bows
03:17To bring down the oppressed and needy
03:19And to slaughter those who are godly
03:24Their swords will pierce their own hearts
03:26And their bows will be broken
03:30The little bit that a godly man owns
03:32Is better than the wealth of many evil men
03:36For evil men will lose their power
03:38But the Lord sustains the godly
03:42The Lord watches over the innocent day by day
03:45And they possess a permanent inheritance
03:50They will not be ashamed when hard times come
03:53When famine comes, they will have enough to eat
03:57But evil men will die
04:00The Lord's enemies will be incinerated
04:03They will go up in smoke
04:07Evil men borrow, but they do not repay their debt
04:10But the godly show compassion and are generous
04:15Surely those favoured by the Lord will possess the land
04:19But those rejected by him will be wiped out
04:23The Lord grants success to the one
04:26Whose behaviour he finds commendable
04:30Even if he trips, he will not fall headlong
04:33For the Lord holds his hand
04:37I was once young
04:38Now I am old
04:40I have never seen a godly man abandoned
04:43Or his children forced to search for food
04:48All day long he shows compassion
04:50And lends to others
04:52And his children are blessed
04:56Turn away from evil
04:58Do what is right
05:00Then you will enjoy lasting security
05:03For the Lord permits justice
05:06And never abandons his faithful followers
05:10They are permanently secure
05:13But the children of evil men are wiped out
05:19The godly will possess the land
05:21And will dwell in it permanently
05:24The godly speak wise words
05:26And permit justice
05:28The law of their God
05:30Controls their thinking
05:31And their feet do not slip
05:35Evil men set an ambush for the godly
05:37And try to kill them
05:39But the Lord does not surrender the godly
05:41Nor allow them to be condemned
05:44In a court of law
05:47Rely on the Lord
05:48Obey his commands
05:51Then he will permit you to possess the land
05:53And he will see the demise of evil people
05:58I have seen ruthless evil men growing in influence
06:02Like a green tree grows in its native soil
06:06But then one passes by
06:08And suddenly they have disappeared
06:11I looked for them
06:12But they could not be found
06:15Take note of the one who has integrity
06:17Observe the upright
06:19For the one who promotes peace has a future
06:24Simple rebels are totally destroyed
06:26Evil men have no future
06:29But the Lord delivers the godly
06:32He protects them in times of trouble
06:35The Lord helps them and rescues them
06:38He rescues them from evil men
06:40And delivers them
06:41For they seek his protection
06:46Glory be to the Father
06:48And to the Son
06:49And to the Holy Spirit
06:51As it was in the beginning
06:53Is now and ever shall be
06:55World without end
06:57Amen
07:06Humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God
07:09So that he may exalt you in due time
07:14Cast all your anxiety on him
07:17Because he cares for you
07:23Visit this place, O Lord, we pray
07:26And drive far from it
07:28The snares of the enemy
07:31May your holy angels dwell with us
07:34And guard us in peace
07:36And may your blessings be always upon us
07:40Through Jesus Christ, our Lord
07:51Now, according to your word, Sovereign Lord
07:54Permit your servant to depart in peace
07:57For my eyes have seen your salvation
08:01That you have prepared
08:02In the presence of all peoples
08:06A light for the revelation to the Gentiles
08:09And for glory to your people Israel
08:14Glory be to the Father
08:16And to the Son
08:16And to the Holy Spirit
08:18As it was in the beginning
08:20Is now and ever shall be
08:22World without end
08:24Amen
08:29Lighten our darkness, Lord, we pray
08:32And in your great mercy
08:34Defend us from all perils and dangers of this night
08:38For the love of your only Son, our Saviour
08:42Jesus Christ
08:44Amen
08:48Our Father who art in heaven
08:51Hallowed be thy name
08:53Thy kingdom come
08:55Thy will be done
08:57On earth as it is in heaven
09:00Give us this day
09:02Our daily bread
09:03And forgive us our trespasses
09:06As we forgive those who trespass against us
09:11Lead us not into temptation
09:13Lead us not into temptation
09:14But deliver us from evil
09:16For thine is the kingdom, the power and the glory
09:21Forever and ever
09:23Amen
09:27In peace will we lie down and sleep
09:32For you alone, Lord, make us dwell in safety
09:39Abide with us, Lord Jesus
09:41For the night is at hand
09:43And the day is now past
09:48As the night watch looks for the morning
09:51So do we look for you, O Christ
09:58Come with the dawning of the day
10:00And make yourself known in the breaking of the bread
10:07May the Lord bless us and watch over us
10:10The Lord make his face shine upon us
10:14And be gracious to us
10:18The Lord look kindly on us
10:20And give us peace
10:22Amen
