00:39Alright, so there's a long way to go though, but the proposal would cap NIL spending, it would cap coaches'
00:45salaries, allow only one transfer, slope college conference expansion, among other things.
00:50But really, what are your thoughts on this?
00:53I have mixed thoughts.
00:54First of all, I'm trying very much not to care.
00:57Just give me the games.
00:58Sometimes, what's going on on the business side of college football, if I really, really lock in on it, I
01:06find myself getting depressed.
01:08Some of this stuff could be good.
01:11The cap for NIL spending to create an even playing field is something that makes sense until I start thinking
01:19about, hmm, do I suspect the teams will go blasting over the cap with, you know, under the table payments?

01:27The one-time transfer makes it easier to be a fan, the constant rotation of rosters makes it harder to
01:35be a fan.
01:36I just, I'm torn on this because I think some is good and some is bad.
01:41I've enjoyed sort of the Wild West because it's the Big Ten flexing its muscle up until this year, apparently.
01:48But, you know, I don't think everyone's always going to be happy.
01:52I guess I prefer to go backwards rather than forward.
01:56So I guess I'm on board with this.
01:58But I could easily be convinced just to let it, that this gets turned down and I'm fine with it.
02:04I know that's not much of an answer, but it's really complicated.
02:07Some of this seems like it's a good idea and others seems ridiculous.
02:10It is very complicated, but Congress should stay the hell out of it regardless.
02:16I think there absolutely needs to be guardrails on what happens with all of this.
02:21And I think the NCAA should have enough smart people involved.
02:23You work with the conferences and you can figure stuff out.
02:25Some of it's about conference expansion and, you know, limiting that and setting up guidelines with that.
02:31And I think all that makes sense.
02:32A lot of this does make sense.
02:35But having Congress involved doesn't.
02:37Because now you're turning this over to lawmakers who absolutely have other agendas.
02:45And it's bad enough when you look at your own, let's just put your own universities.
02:49When they start debating within themselves about their own politics of athletics and how disjointed that can be, right?
02:57That's awful.
02:58And now you're going to send it up to Congress and let them figure it out?
03:01Which, oh, by the way, the House of Representatives can't even look at this until after the midterms in November,
03:08which there might be a dramatic change in the landscape of how Congress looks in terms of politics with Republicans
03:15and Democrats,
03:16which might also change how things go.
03:19And they're not sure of the difference between the Iowa Hawkeyes and the Atlanta Hawks.
03:22That's another thing.
03:24And a funny thing and a sad thing all at the same time.
03:27But they also are talking about how now they want to take off the table capping a coach's salary,
03:33which I think is really strange if you're going to allow it.

03:36We don't need that.
03:38We need the coaches to make whatever they want, but players can be limited.
03:40This isn't going to go well.
03:42And this it should not be solved by Congress.

03:45I agree with that completely.
03:46As far as the government getting involved,
03:48it's completely dumb that the government is trying to get involved in college athletics.
03:52I'm not saying there shouldn't be rules at all,
03:54but the rules should come from the NCAA, you know, in college football themselves,
03:59not from Congress or the Senate or any, you know, the U.S. government.
04:02That's ridiculous.
04:03But if you do have rules, you must enforce them.
04:06Otherwise, then what's the point?
04:08Then just one conference can cheat and the others can't.
04:12Now, that's dumb.

04:45ESPN did their playoff predictor and predicted six SEC teams
04:49that are currently in the college football playoff.
04:51Texas, Georgia, Alabama, Florida, Ole Miss, and LSU.
04:55Who won't make it?
04:57Out of this group, I'm going to say LSU doesn't make it.
05:00They've got a really tough remaining schedule.
05:02They still have Mississippi State, who's not among those teams,
05:04but they are undefeated.
05:05Mississippi State has the chance to really improve their resume
05:08because they still play everybody.
05:11LSU has to play Alabama, Texas, Tennessee, and, of course, McNeese State.
05:15So I think it's LSU who's going to be left out of it.
05:18Their schedule is just too tough remaining.

05:20One team has a rivalry game next.
05:22Then consecutively, consecutively, they play No. 8 Florida, No. 9 Ole Miss,
05:27No. 16 Mississippi State, No. 22 Missouri, and No. 11 LSU.
05:31That team is No. 1 Texas.
05:33They have the second toughest schedule remaining in college football.
05:36Yes, they have two huge wins, but in those wins, they did some disturbing things.
05:41They're minus three in turnover margin.
05:43They've got a really good defense, but they need to tighten things up.

07:47Texas A&M is teasing a new end zone paint scheme.
07:50Tennessee just hosted number one Texas and showcased their famous orange and white checkerboard

07:55Should Michigan or Michigan State do something cooler with their end zone paint schemes?
07:59First of all, I will say this.
08:01As a kid growing up watching college football, one of my favorite things to do was to watch
08:06the Rose Bowl every year because the end zones were painted with the respective colors
08:12of the teams that were playing and remains to be painted to this day, and I love it.
08:17I absolutely love it.
08:19Yes, Michigan and Michigan State should fully embrace this.
08:22Let's go back with the green end zone.
08:24If you want to make it a white end zone at Michigan State with the green state in there,
08:27a green Michigan State, however you want to do it, paint it up.
08:30And at Michigan, 100%, they should be a blue end zone with the yellow Michigan in the end zone.

09:03But with that being said, they've definitely evolved over the years with their uniforms
09:07and helmets and even advertising.
09:09I think they should definitely do something with the end zone.

09:14They're always, whether it's uniforms or end zones or whatever, people want to see new

09:23USC linebacker Desmond Stevens has been suspended for one game and apologized to Oregon quarterback
09:28Dante Moore for the hit last weekend.
09:30Steven says his reaction in the moment after the hit was completely inappropriate and inexcusable.
09:35He was specific about his inappropriate celebration.
09:38I take full responsibility for my actions.
09:40He said that is not the person or teammate I want to be.
09:44And I will learn from this is the apologies and suspension enough.

09:48I got to tell you, I think we're so hypocritical.
09:51We train our defenders to be physical.
09:53We train them to hit hard, to be tenacious, to be a punishing defense.
09:59And at times, you know, they go too far.
10:03And young people are getting this programming all the time that you want to hit hard.
10:08You want them to know that they played against you.
10:11And yeah, he took it too far.
10:13But it's a fast moving game, man.
10:15I have sympathy for this kid.
10:17And it's not just because he's a Clarkston kid.
10:19Although, you know, I don't think a lot of people know that.
10:21He's from here locally.
10:22Had local offers at local schools.
10:24But at the end of the day, you know, he made a huge mistake.
10:29It was a dirty hit.
10:31But I don't know what else he can do but apologize.
10:34And I think we should have some grace, given what we train defenses to do.
10:39I think it's enough.
10:40The hit was questionable at best.
10:42I think certainly deserving of the ejection.
10:44It's the optics of the celebration of what's being debated.
10:47And the optics shouldn't go beyond a one-game suspension.

11:28After Minnesota beat Washington last Saturday, Gopher head coach P.J. Fleck hugged one of his players to celebrate.
11:34The player was bleeding from his mouth.
11:36Fleck wiped the player's blood onto his own hand and then proceeded to wipe it on his player's blood onto
11:41his own face.
11:41Like it was face paint.
11:43What's the most barbaric or gross thing you've ever witnessed someone do with your own eyes?
11:47So, I have a million things here.

11:55I saw something.
11:56PJ Pan licking gloves.
11:57I saw something in a swimming pool that I will never forget.
12:00But for me, it comes down to professional wrestling.
12:02And there was a wrestler named New Jack who was incredibly irresponsible, wrestled in ECW, Extreme Championship Wrestling.
12:09There was a scaffold match.
12:11And he had a legitimate real-life grudge with a wrestler named Vic Grimes.
12:15The scaffold was set up 25 feet up in the air.
12:18He threw this guy off the scaffold that was planned, but the guy wasn't ready for it.
12:23He was not ready to be thrown off the scaffold.
12:26He threw him off.
12:27You can hear Vic Grimes screaming throughout the arena as he's falling off the scaffold.
12:34And I think threw tables and hits, like, the top rope.
12:37He's lucky he didn't die.
12:39And that's one of 10 million things that New Jack did as a professional wrestler that was incredibly barbaric.

12:47This was a real incident that happened that he should have served jail time for.

14:14That was the most barbaric thing I've ever seen.
