00:00we're all sitting here going i can't i didn't believe this was going to happen
00:03three and one three and one are you kidding and i gotta tell you i was pumped last night when
00:09i
00:09laughed i was a little tiny bit aggravated about the penalties but who cares it doesn't matter
00:14today's a day to just feel good about this team and i gotta tell you something that irritated the
00:19you know what out of me last night he's dan mannigan good morning dan how are you i'm half
00:24awake i'm slap happy and i'm ready for a party i that's what i feel like today needs to be
00:30this should be the party we should be going absolutely nuts we should be having way too
00:34much fun we should be enjoying every last bit of everything that is going to take place maybe we
00:39point out a couple words along the way but more than anything else we're here for the party so
00:44we're programming on the fly and so i we typically would do this kind of thing i would do this
00:48with
00:48andy behind the scenes and i do it with kayla and riley and all that stuff we'd we'd get it
00:52all
00:52together behind the scenes let's just do it live on the air tom munkett is going to be speaking at
00:5511 o'clock today we are going to carry that live our buddy chris easterling is going to be at
00:59one
00:59p.m today he was initially going to join us at 11 but tom munkett decided to speak so left
01:04you
01:04know we we make accommodations when your coach is three and one we we bend over backwards we do good
01:09things for you so that's the that's the way we're looking at this one and then at noon today is
01:15going
01:15to be tim may to get you ready for the buckeye game over the weekend as well so we got
01:20a program
01:20ahead of us we're gonna have some fun i want to party andy i want to go absolutely nuts i
01:24want to laugh
01:24i want to do the show that will forever be burnt in my brain as the most fun that i've
01:30ever had on
01:31the radio which was the game when baker mayfield won against the jets and they opened up the uh the
01:37coolers oh yeah and it was you me and less and we had a freaking party we were laughing so
01:44hard at
01:45everything and had way too much fun and that's what i want to do today i want to have a
01:50day i want to get
01:54and we could do this we have the abilities we have the technology damn it we're three in one
01:59nobody thought this was going to happen if you thought this was going to happen people would
02:03have had you drug tested we would have thought that somebody slipped psychedelics into your coffee
02:07if you would have said three and one all right so let me tell you this is awesome let me
02:12tell you
02:12the story so you know normally i i normally get out for like the last five minutes of the post
02:17game
02:18show we have on what time did you guys leave the air last night we got off the air at
02:21145 okay well i i don't
02:24think i hit my car until like 210 last night in the morning after we did everything so then i
02:30get in
02:30the car and so you know i'm immediately listening to us you know i'm right at 92.3 the fan
02:34and we got
02:36we had some guy on from westwood one i don't even know his name don't really care is it another
02:41gravelly voice no no because you know the key to good sports talk especially nationally is to have
02:47yourself a gravelly voice new york oh i didn't realize that that's the key if you don't have one of
02:52those
02:52you don't have sports talk i i have a million words that i would use if we were all sitting
02:57in
02:57a bar to describe the conversation the guy was having this is the second time in a week that i've
03:02almost picked up the phone and called into a show i mean i i i'm telling you man i feel
03:07like you guys
03:07do i know how you feel you're you're driving around you're listening to us today you're trying
03:11to get you want more out of that game last night you want to know more you want to hear
03:15the stories
03:16the behind the scenes stories you want to know how are we doing this can you believe this you want
03:20to
03:20feel like you know you're a browns fan you know you're a browns fan and you're trying to link in
03:26with other browns fans going guys man i can't believe we're three and one i can't i can't believe
03:30we're in first place by the way i can't believe we're three and one this is awesome i feel like
03:34this is awesome you can't be three and one three and one so i'm driving and all of a sudden
03:40i'm like
03:41i turn on the radio and the first thing i hear is some national guy from i don't even know
03:48where
03:48he was from and he's like now bronze fans let me just tell you this you know hey good win
03:54you know
03:54i'm excited for you i'm happy for you because you're cleveland but you know don't you're not a
03:58playoff team and i'm like not once yesterday did i think about the playoffs and i'm like and then he's
04:03like and then he's like you know you should feel like this you should feel you you should be happy
04:08you should be i mean what's what's the end the best ending here is you you maybe you get to
04:13seven
04:13maybe you get to nine wins that's great man feel good for you then i listen to all these idiots
04:18from around our country call in after him and they're like telling us how to feel about the
04:23browns and you know they're they're rehashing things that we have browns fans look i mean i know the
04:29watson story i'm not getting into it today i don't really i don't want to do it either i don't
04:32care what
04:33herb street said last night i don't care what al michaels are saying or how they're dancing around
04:37you know watson's history and i gotta be honest for the first time last night
04:42deshaun like actually had a little bit of sympathy for his own past like i like almost i've never
04:48heard him say i'm sorry you'll never said i said i had no regrets after the second preseason game
04:53which kind of like stuck with me for a while that angered me greatly and still does dude and there's
04:58there's a lot of people that want to root for you but you're making it very very hard yep you're
05:04making it hard on yourself and he always will but you know last night he talked about the ups and
05:08downs but you know what the only one that gets that the only one that knows that is you and
05:13me
05:13and the folks that listen to the station every day or they go to offices in northeast ohio or
05:18they're clevelanders from around the country that kind of get it i gotta tell you i don't need blow
05:23hearts nationally telling me about my own team and how to feel for my own team last night and i
05:29did hear
05:29a lot of stuff about you know like on the air they were you know look i mean the the
05:35sideways stuff
05:36with deshaun's never going away it's not but by the same token how am i supposed to feel when you
05:43know you get a guy like jaleel mclaughlin who gets in the end zone yesterday and scores that touchdown
05:4828 yards the guy played at notre dame college come on the school doesn't even exist anymore then he ends
05:55up at youngstown state read his story man if what they if it's true on wikipedia and i kind of
06:03believe this one i should probably go back and look at the the notes on the bottom of before i
06:06spit this
06:06out but we're talking about a guy that got in the end zone yesterday that was living in a car
06:12that his family man i mean he went through some tough times with his mom his grandmother passed away
06:18like hey you know what so if deshaun is deshaun then it doesn't bother me because i'm looking at
06:23this stuff and i'm going man how about mclaughlin last night yep that touchdown to me was you know
06:28the the story itself i'm just i'm like and the guy's a great guy that's i talked to him last
06:35night
06:35and i talked to b writers he's only been here for like three weeks right yeah and you know i'm
06:40talking
06:40to him i'm like hey would you know mclaughlin if you see him by by his face i'm like i
06:44don't really
06:44know what he looks like because i didn't i don't remember covering him when he was at notre dame
06:48college in south euclid and i really didn't cover much of youngstown state over the last couple years
06:53and so you know here's a guy that was a free agent that he was out man like and no
06:57division
06:58one school was ever going to look at him and no division two school was willing to take a chance
07:03except for notre dame college which now doesn't even exist uh yes according to the denver post
07:07everything you read is correct okay so i mean dude was living in a car with his mom at a
07:13mcdonald's
07:14he was living in a car with his mom at mcdonald's and last night he was your hero one of
07:20your heroes
07:21you had tons of them man when that kid hit the end zone last night on 28 yards and getting
07:27in there
07:28i was just like you know what there's more to life than football and the struggles of that kid
07:33has had that guy i shouldn't call him a kid that he's had to get to that point to make
07:38all of you
07:39happy last night to make me happy last night that's the story yep that's the party i want to have
07:45i want
07:46to have the party about how the future is so bright for this team i want to i want to
07:50go nuts over casey
07:51concepcion i want to go nuts over denzel boston i even want to have a mea culpa when it comes
07:56to my
07:56general dislike of jerry judy's game because he came up huge when you needed him and lord knows i've
08:02blasted jerry judy enough times probably will continue to but you needed him and he was there
08:08this game to me is about the fact that the present is so bright and the future is even brighter
08:18and
08:20not to sound like todd todd munkin that's freaking awesome when is the last time we all looked at each
08:27other and said this browns team present is so bright and the future is even brighter i think the
08:34great we haven't said that in forever well i think todd was right after the carolina win saying
08:38that this team you know isn't it's we haven't come close to our potential yeah i gotta tell you those
08:44penalties last night yeah continue to make me you're not there yet you're not there yet either and yet
08:49you're finding ways your defense has been excellent they've done an outstanding job all the way around
08:55i mean the mason graham injury is just such a bummer we'll see what today is hopefully it's good
09:00no answers last night for that yeah did anything happen overnight over the last four hours when i tried to
09:04not to my knowledge the only thing that i had was i saw yesterday that he walked out with a
09:09leg
09:09brace and crutches i saw that yesterday he left the locker room in that but mike hall mike hall leaves
09:14the game on a cart comes back and gets a sack later on in the game are you like again
09:18and the other
09:19thing that we're talking about in the car is mike hall streetsboro denzel you know yeah nordonia um
09:24you know i was talking about mclaughlin you know he was at young south state um uh and uh nordame
09:30college you know like i'm just like a lot like all these local like a lot of local local quinchon
09:36i
09:36mean how many of the last touchdowns have been scored by guys that played college football in
09:40the state of ohio right like almost all of them with the exception of deshaun and uh denzel boston
09:45yeah in boston that's right and so i mean there's just there's some things that really like i gotta tell
09:50you crowd last night you were awesome yeah you were awesome last night and so you know i dan you
09:56know
09:56we joke about it all the time about how you know it's it it inconveniences our lives a little bit
10:01when the game's not at one o'clock on sunday because you get used to that routine last night
10:06you might you might be joking i'm always serious on that one i know you are no i'm joking but
10:10i'm just
10:10telling you last night was just freaking awesome isn't it it was awesome the electricity in the
10:15beginning like i i those night games are amazing we all sell my top bucket right now like it he's
10:22right
10:23because that's where all of us are we're just looking around like this is awesome this is really
10:27fun i'm having a good time we're having a party let's go all right we are gonna another fourth
10:32quarter win and another fourth quarter win you know i don't by hook by hook or by crook they get
10:38the job done and you know that is the story of the three games of the four games this season
10:42by hook
10:43or by crook they get the job done but i gotta tell you i don't need people from national telling
10:48me how
10:49to feel trust my team trust who you trust always trust the people you respect i'm listening and
10:54you guys should feel like this and then the other thing they said that's also someone by the way
10:59the best advice i've ever gotten in life was from my mother who i did something really dumb and i
11:03said
11:04to her like well you're not supposed to feel that way about it you're supposed to feel this way and
11:07she looked at me and said don't ever tell someone how to feel and that's always stuck with me till
11:11the
11:11end of time don't ever tell someone how to feel well this guy he was doing it and so were
11:16the
11:16callers last night on this it was like a it was after our post game show and like the dumbest
11:22thing
11:22he said was oh you get to seven or nine wins uh that's good you should be happy about that
11:27you
11:27should be excited about that that's a great season i'm like seven or nine wins oh he kept saying and
11:31and plan on missing the playoffs and and just the arrogance of people are like they're not gonna make
11:36the playoffs there's no way they're gonna make the playoffs i don't know if they're gonna make the
11:40playoffs or not and i gotta be honest i don't care today i don't care i may care on monday
11:45i may
11:46care on tuesday but today i don't care it's not about the playoffs it's about actually having a
11:52football team that can have more points than the other team when they walk off the field thank you
11:58thank you browns last night was awesome and you know what tomorrow's gonna be awesome too when the
12:03guardians take the field because i'm looking forward to that too we're in the middle of a
12:07really good period right now let's just hope it's gonna be a blast let's hope it rolls let's just
12:10have a party rolling so
