Chet Hanks and comedian Eric André have reignited their long-running feud after finally crossing paths at ComplexCon, with their tense encounter captured on video.
Hanks later described the meeting on Instagram, saying, “Finally ran into @ericfuckingandre, who apparently travels to ComplexCon with 4 security guards (because the environment makes him uneasy) and who had NO MEMORY WHATSOEVER of trashing me to the media after I outshined him on his own show!!”
He claimed André later said he had an issue with Hanks “mocking Caribbean culture” over his Jamaican accent. Hanks sarcastically added, “WHO KNEW that in addition to the brain rot and poop joke humor he is known for, Eric is also such a passionate cultural activist!!! Great running into you Eric!!!!”
The dispute dates back to 2023, when André discussed Hanks’ appearance on The Eric André Show. André said, “He is … emotionally disturbed,” and accused him of dangerous behavior during filming.
André also said, “He broke our crew. It felt like ‘Rust.’ He broke us down.”
Hanks previously responded by calling André a “p----” and claiming he had “outshined” the comedian while trying to match the energy of the show’s guests.
Their latest confrontation has once again brought their years-old feud into the spotlight.
