00:00What are your thoughts on this series?
00:01Because here's how I lay it out for everybody.
00:05This Brewers team, I don't think they're going to win this series.
00:08I don't.
00:09I think the Dodgers are going to win in six or seven.
00:11But I do think this is going to be a highly competitive series.
00:17And I say that because Jacob Mizorowski is going to pitch in this series.
00:22I just feel like they have a certain chip on their shoulder,
00:26a certain edge.
00:27The Brewers.
00:28Okay.
00:29Like the Dodgers, to me, and the NLDS,
00:31and I was telling a few people this,
00:33they didn't even play that well, and they still won that series.
00:36Like, Shohei Otani was terrible.
00:39You could go down the list of all the guys.
00:40Will Smith was awful.
00:42Mookie Betts was, eh, he was fine.
00:44But you go down the list of the lineup,
00:46they were not good in that series.
00:48The Braves were just worse.
00:50The Braves were worse on offense.
00:53And the Dodgers pitching staff was phenomenal.
00:55Whenever you have Scuba, whenever you have Yamamoto,
00:57at least those two at the top,
00:59you're always going to give yourself a chance to win,
01:01even if you score one or two runs, which is what happened.
01:05So that's why I still give the Dodgers the advantage.
01:07But I'm not saying this is going to be a sweep again.
01:09Like, I'm not just going to count out the Brewers just because,
01:12oh, yeah, well, they swept them last year,
01:14and it's the same team, so we're just going to do it again.
01:16I think this is going to be way more competitive this year.
01:19What do you say?
01:20Sweep!
01:21A sweep again?
01:22There's no way.
01:24Sweep!
01:25Come on, man.
01:27You're not even going to let them get one?
01:30Buddy, look, okay, I just watched them beat the Padres.
01:32Yeah.
01:33Oh, you have a great perspective.
01:35As tough as that was to watch,
01:37one thing I walked away from that series knowing is
01:41they're not going to do to the Dodgers what they did to the Padres.
01:44The Padres self-destruct and oftentimes don't score in clutch situations.
01:47One of the hallmarks of the Dodgers in their championship run
01:51is in clutch situations, somebody does something.
01:55The team that they just went against and beat in Petco,
01:58oftentimes when you need somebody to do something,
02:00no one does anything.
02:02That's been the hallmark of the last three seasons
02:05where the Padres have made it into the playoffs.
02:07They play well into the playoffs.
02:09They get in the playoffs and they get in one of these series
02:10and they get into a funk.
02:12And they give you one run, maybe two if you're lucky.
02:17I don't see the Dodgers doing that.
02:19I thought what the Padres plan against Mizorowski
02:21is something that the Dodgers can easily do.
02:24You fight these high fastballs, you fight these 103s, 104s,
02:28you fight them off until he gets to about 60 or 70 pitches
02:31by the third inning, and then they'll have to take him out.
02:34And then once you get past him,
02:36although the Brewers did have a good bullpen,
02:39there's no one impressive in that bullpen.
02:41And I mean, no one impressive.
02:43And I know people will say,
02:44well, look what they did to the Padres.
02:45People in nasty Milwaukee is going to be like,
02:48oh, well, look what they did to the Padres.
02:50Nasty Milwaukee.
02:51Are they nasty fans, John?
02:53I hate Wisconsin as a whole.
02:57So it ain't got, I hate the shape of the state, okay?
03:03I hate mostly cheese because I just like the place of the state of Wisconsin, okay?
03:08So to me, I don't got no respect for them.
03:12Okay.
03:12The Bucs, the Packers, the Brewers.
03:16No, none of them.
03:16I don't respect, no, I don't even respect the Badgers.
03:19None of them.
03:20None of them, okay?
03:22They could all go jump in the lake.
03:23Okay.
03:24Plenty of them.
03:25But with that said, all seriousness, I think the Dodgers are better and vital
03:33and key points during the game.
03:35I think they have got so much history and so much experience on that roster.
03:40There is going to be no moment that they will be too nervous for.
03:44It's not a first time for anyone on that roster,
03:46but the young guy who they brought up at the end of the year.
03:49Outside of him, they've got a roster full of guys who just do things in the postseason.
03:54Kike Hernandez is not a good baseball player until it becomes October.
03:58And then it looks like he should be making $500 million, okay?
04:03You got Teoscar Hernandez, who I don't know if he knows that there's a wall in the outfield,
04:09but he seems to find a clutch home run here and there.
04:12They have guys all the way up and down their lineup that seems to come through
04:16when you need them to come through.
04:18And you said, oh, they didn't play well against the Braves.
04:20Can you even remember a game where they played well last year
04:23when they won the World Series?
04:24Because I can't.
04:25I didn't think they played well at all.
04:29Offensively, I didn't think they played well at all.
04:31But they kept winning.
04:32Yeah, you're right.
04:33Because you go to those first two games in Milwaukee,
04:36if you go back to the NLCS last year,
04:38the first two games in Milwaukee were low scoring.
04:40It's just that Blake Snell threw eight innings,
04:42and Yamamoto had a complete game.
04:44So obviously, you're going to win those games.
04:47They were low scoring.
04:48Dodgers didn't really do much.
04:49You go to the other games.
04:51The last game, Shohei Ohtani just had three home runs,
04:53and he took over the entire game.
04:55And there you go.
04:56Yeah.
04:57And so the Padres don't have a player that can do that.
05:00The Dodgers have a couple of guys who are capable of doing that.
05:04Mookie hasn't been home run happy, but Ohtani's hurt,
05:10so I don't necessarily see him doing that.
05:12But this would be a series Kyle Tucker will get you.
05:14He was great in the NLDS.
05:16I have to say, he was actually good.
05:18And then you look up and go, wait,
05:19Kyle Tucker's hit 200 runs in this game.
05:21Here comes Teosca Hernandez.
05:23He'll pop one out.
05:24Then Will Smith will pop one out.
05:25And the next thing you know, it's four to nothing.
