An INDIA bloc delegation met President Droupadi Murmu and submitted a memorandum demanding Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar’s resignation and a return to ballot papers instead of EVMs. Opposition leaders raised concerns over electoral processes and alleged irregularities in recent elections. According to the delegation, the President asked them to provide evidence supporting their claims, which they agreed to submit. The opposition also plans to approach the Supreme Court with its memorandum, while preparations are underway for further protests in Delhi over electoral integrity and the Election Commission’s functioning.

00:14I will investigate, I will go through the details and you please send us the details and evidence.
00:25We said, yes, Rahul Ji also said, yes, we will send you the details, evidence and not only with the
00:32election commission also, they said, now their inner people also expressed all this concern.
00:38So countries concerned very much and you as a custodian of the constitution, please take proper care so that the
00:46democracy should remain and its republic, India must continue.
00:51We are together Indian Alliance and we are very strong.
00:56It is not that only Congress party is saying.
00:59It is the Indian Alliance speaking.
01:01More than 60 percent, the voice of the people, we are speaking.
01:07And I think she is very much positive and she responded that I will investigate, number one.
01:13Number two, she said that, yes, you send the evidence without evidence, how do I get this?
01:19But that time I also said that, please see that you can ask the report from the government, you can
01:25ask the report from the CEC, you can ask the report from other sources also.
01:29But you ask us and Rahul Ji has taken the charge that we will send all the details to him
01:35so he can send all the evidence.
01:41I just sat in a quite a unbelievable meeting.
01:58The first thing is, we took a memorandum to the President of India.
02:07On that memorandum, we clearly said that the Prime Minister, Mr. Amit Shah, Gyanesh Kumar have conspired to destroy Indian
02:19democracy.
02:21The President in no way denied what we said, in no way questioned what we said, in no way argued
02:35what we said.
02:38She accepted our statement and then she said to us that we need to bring her proof of election chori.
02:55I said that the proof of election chori is known to the whole country.
03:02State after state has been stolen.
03:0524 election, as you know, has been stolen.
03:10And yet the President wants us to take saboot proof to her.
03:16This same group of people will very happily take the proof of election chori that we have collected to the
03:24President of India when she is ready to accept it.
03:28Main thing to say is that I actually expected the President of India to deny that vote chori is taking
03:35place.
03:36I expected the President of India to say that, no, actually, India has a free and fair election system.
03:43And I was shocked and I was stunned that the President of India accepted what we said.
03:47I would like to repeat what I said in Hindi.
03:51I would like to repeat what I said in Hindi.
04:15I would like to repeat what I said in Hindi.
04:24We asked the President of India to say that we will not say that the President of India has been
04:30taken place.
04:30The President of India has passed the proof that we have collected on the nation.

04:44Thank you so much.
11:18Well, at this point of time, we can say that the at least the Congress party is not going
11:23to support a CGP protest as it happened previously.
11:28Well, Rahul Gandhi is not in the National Capital.
11:30He will be in Chennai.
11:31So, after a brief gap on 12th, expect all the India block leaders again on the streets.
11:37You'll be seeing again some detentions happening, you know, a tussle, a scuffle happening between educating opposition workers and Delhi
11:45police as we have seen earlier also.
11:47So, the game is to keep the momentum going and that's why they are opening new fronts with each passing
11:53day.
11:54And the moment, you're right and the fronts have been opened on multiple dimensions.
12:00It's not just the United Alliance of the opposition, the India Alliance, that is demanding the resignation of the CEC.
12:09There is another front which is open and that front is the Kokoro Janta Party who has now threatened a
12:14Jantar Mantar 2.0 tomorrow asking for the CEC, Dyanesh Kumar, to step down.
12:20What has happened at the back of it, especially because the last time the Kokoro Janta Party had taken to
12:25the streets in the Jantar Mantar protest, we saw what went down.
12:29Ultimately, it resulted in the resignation of the Education Minister.
12:34Delhi, the national capital, has now completely been fortified as it prepares and braces for a possible Jantar Mantar 2
12:42.0.
12:42What we do know right now, over 20,000 personnel, that includes the BSF, are on ground fortifying the capital
12:51of the country.
12:52What we do know is that internet is snapped as I speak from 10 p.m.
12:57It will be snapped till tomorrow evening, late night at 10 p.m.
13:01So, no internet, about 4 kilometers area of Jantar Mantar.
13:05What we also know that 56, or rather 57, I believe, metro stations have been shut down.
13:12So, the arterial roads to reach Jantar Mantar completely shut down.
13:18Metro stations that lead to Jantar Mantar, where the clarion call of protest is of Abhijit Dipke and the Kokoro
13:25Janta Party.
13:26All metro stations have been shut down, 20,000 personnel.
13:30We are also getting information right now that all trains, mind you, all trains, express trains,
13:37that come from other states to the national capital, Delhi, from 4 a.m. to 2 p.m. have been
13:43cancelled.
13:44Never seen before measures that have been taken.
13:46The Home Secretary has now written to each state saying that the Kokoro Janta Party protest has been banned.
13:53They haven't been given permission and should not be allowed.
13:56So, that, in effect, can translate into the fact that they will not be allowed to even move towards the
14:03national capital in certain states.
14:04So, the big question that we asked this evening, what explains the unprecedented clapdown in the national capital,
14:11right to protest curbed, pressure piling on CEC, Gyanesh Kumar, both pressure groups like CJP as well,
14:19as the India Alliance, the opposition government, wary of CJP protest against CEC,
14:25looking at the kind of unprecedented measures that have taken place,
14:30and the Congress, CJP, caught in a possible game of one-upmanship.
14:34Rahul Gandhi is going to be in Chennai for Chhatro Ki Grooms tomorrow.
14:37Cutting across to our panelists this evening, we have short time, so very quick responses.
14:41Keeping in mind, we have news break.
14:43I have Rajat Sethi, political analyst, Tuhin Sinha, BJP national spokesperson,
14:48Yashavarda Nazarb, former IPS officer, Salman Saws, Congress national spokesperson,
14:53Meher Pasricha, CJP national spokesperson.
14:56I'd like to begin with the BJP national spokesperson.
14:59Mr. Tuhin Sinha, never seen measures in the national capital, despite the Supreme Court
15:06stepping in and saying, don't shut down, regulate.
15:09What you've practically done is bring the national capital of this country to a complete shut down,
15:16where even express trains coming in from other parts of the country are not allowed in the capital
15:21from 4 a.m. this morning to 2 p.m., leave alone the other measures.
15:28Well, good evening, Preeti. Good evening, everybody.
15:31You know, the safety and well-being of every citizen of Delhi and of the country is of the government.
15:35It's not of the courts. It's not of journalists.
15:38So keeping that in mind, I'm sure there were some intelligence inputs,
15:42which were the trigger for the shutdown that you are witnessing right now.
15:47Unfortunately, what we are witnessing right now is loony, obsessive, competitive protesting
15:54between the Congress Party and the cockroaches on the other hand.
15:58Now, three quick points.
16:00You know, if the matter is subjudice, the least which these people could have done
16:05was waited for the next hearing where the Election Commission had to answer to the Supreme Court
16:11with regard to specific questions, with regard to specific queries
16:16that the Supreme Court had put forth to the ECI.
16:19Number two, you know, there seems to be some confusion.
16:22Certain Congress leaders have been saying that, you know,
16:24vote chauri started with SIR in May 2025.
16:28But apparently, Kharge believes that it has been happening all along,
16:32which is perhaps why he's calling the Prime Minister illegal.
16:35Now, if Kharge is right, and, you know, assuming that it's happening all along,
16:40I think the leader of opposition is also illegal.
16:43All 99 Congress MPs should resign forthwith.
16:46And if it is happening from May 2025,
16:49then the Kerala state government of Congress Party should resign forthwith.
16:53And point number three, we have all seen, you know,
16:56what the kind of flash protesting which these people have done,
16:59the kind of, you know, the acts with the kind of indecent acts
17:03which Rahul Gandhi was seen doing in front to a woman cop.
17:07I think if that is the agenda,
17:08if that is what the leader of opposition has reduced itself to.
17:11But my larger worry, just the last point,
17:14my larger worry is that it doesn't stop with the Chief Election Commissioner.
17:18The agenda is malefied.
17:20Rahul Gandhi has been fantasizing a Nepal,
17:23a Bangladesh kind of protest, you know,
17:25a regime change for the last couple of years.
17:28And that is why every day these people are changing goalposts.
17:32Mind you, it's not about the Chief Election Commissioner.
17:35They will go at the Chief Justice of India.
17:37They will go at the Prime Minister.
17:39And that is why the country needs to take a stand today.
17:42They're already going at the Prime Minister.
17:44Very soon, you're going to see the people of the country protesting as this nuisance.
17:49The Congress is already going after the Prime Minister.
17:53And the Congress has also said that they're willing to forego every election
17:56that they have won in the last few years
17:59since they have raised the issue of what they believe.
18:01These are allegations of what they believe is a compromised election commission.
18:05I'd like to go to Mr. Salman Soss.
18:07But right before that, I'm bringing in Mr. Yashavarda Nazad.
18:10Yashavarda Nazad, for somebody, you know, who's been a former cop,
18:15I just want you to give us an understanding.
18:17The kind of measures that are in place in the national capital
18:20seem unprecedented to many.
18:22But if you go back to what happened on the 22nd of July,
18:25does anything justify of even blocking trains to the national capital
18:30from 4 a.m. to 2 p.m., Home Secretary writing to the other states
18:36suggesting it's an illegal protest, do not allow, you know,
18:40which in effect means do not allow protesters to come to the national capital?
18:44First, I'm extremely surprised that it is the Home Secretary
18:49who's taking the lead in this particular case
18:52when the entire powers to promulgate the prohibitory orders
18:56are with the police commissioner.
18:58And let me remind you, Priti, that in London, about two, three years back,
19:04there was a protest by the Palestinians
19:09which was allowed by the police commissioner
19:12despite the opposition of the Home Secretary,
19:15who's a Home Minister, not as Babu, as here.
19:19And it was allowed because he said
19:22it has not reached that threshold of danger
19:25to public life and public order.
19:29And therefore, I'm surprised because protest is a right.
19:33It's not a question of what the opposition is doing
19:36or the non-opposition is doing.
19:38And therefore, the police commissioner,
19:40always there has to be a dialogue,
19:42there has to be a methodology.
19:45He has to talk to the opposition parties,
19:47how many people you're getting,
19:48and maybe widen the parameter
19:50where this can take place peacefully.
19:53It has to be done with the opposition.
19:55All right.
19:56You know, sir, I'm terribly short on time
19:58because we had a press conference right in the beginning
20:00and we have an interview lined up next with Rajdeep.
20:03I just want to quickly bring in our other guests
20:04and Salman Sors to pull you in on this.
20:07There seems to be, and correct me if I'm wrong,
20:09a one-upmanship between you,
20:11which is the Congress Party, not you,
20:13and the Kokoro Janata Party,
20:15which is holding a protest tomorrow.
20:18Meaty, first, you know, I'm from Kashmir.
20:20I'll say just one word to my fellow Kashmiris.
20:24BJP has been made Kashir in Hindustan,
20:26and it's been made of Hindustan Kashir.
20:28What that means is that BJP wanted Kashmir to become India,
20:32but they're making India into Kashmir, basically.
20:35They're making Kashmir out of India.
20:37This is the kind of high-handed kind of practices
20:40that they've deployed in Kashmir,
20:43and now they're doing the same thing
20:45to the rest of the country.
20:47And I think it's really, really, to my mind,
20:50I think this is detrimental to our democracy.
20:53I don't think there's any, so far,
20:55all the protests that we've seen,
20:57the peaceful protests,
20:58whether they were from the Congress Party,
21:00which has been in the forefront for all these,
21:01for several years now,
21:03we've been talking about vote jury,
21:05and now all the young people of this country,
21:08whether it's Kokoro Janata Party
21:10or other young people,
21:11whoever wants to protest should protest peacefully,
21:13but there's no justification
21:15for taking young people out of trains,
21:18shutting down trains,
21:19shutting down metro stations.
21:21What is going on with this government?
21:23Why, you know, even the British,
21:25you know, this is Mahatma Gandhi's India.
21:29The Congress Party is Mahatma Gandhi's party.
21:33These young people are inspired by Mahatma Gandhi.
21:36We are non-violent.
21:38We are protesting peacefully.
21:39We are fighting for the rights of 13.4 crore people
21:43who have been left of the electoral rolls.
21:46We are asking for transparency.
21:48Can we not even ask for transparency?
21:51And by the way,
21:51just one message to the Chief Election Commissioner from me.
21:54As his fellow citizen,
21:56Mr. Chief Election Commissioner,
21:58you are supposed to be an impartial referee,
22:00but the entire opposition has lost trust in you.
22:03How can you continue?
22:04Your position is untenable.
22:06You should resign.
22:07Mr. Soz, I need to...
22:09Okay.
22:10All right.
22:11I need to bring in our other two guests.
22:12Once again, I severely, I apologize.
22:14We just had a press conference last minute.
22:16I want to bring in Rajat Sethi into this conversation.
22:19Rajat Sethi,
22:20if the kind of information that is coming in,
22:22unprecedented clampdown,
22:25never heard,
22:25at least I don't remember the last time
22:27something like this happened,
22:29where the national capital is concerned,
22:30this messaging goes out
22:31to the very people,
22:32especially the Gen Z.
22:34What's the message there?
22:36See, Preeti ji,
22:37I agree.
22:38It's unprecedented,
22:39the scale with which...
22:40I mean,
22:41Delhi police has been at the receiving end
22:43for the past week or so.
22:45There have been attacks at them.
22:46There have been mocking...
22:48People mocking and abusing them.
22:49So,
22:50also in this case for tomorrow,
22:52I believe
22:53there was no application
22:54wherein,
22:55you know,
22:56a given timeline has to be there
22:57before you apply for a protest.
23:00That...
23:00Those rules and regulations
23:01have been put in place
23:03so that some corrective actions,
23:05some bandhovas can be done.
23:06One time they've got a,
23:08you know,
23:08an outlier event happened
23:10when,
23:10you know,
23:11a permission was given to them
23:13at the airport itself.
23:14But that should not be converted
23:15into a norm.
23:16That way,
23:17I mean,
23:17anybody can start saying that,
23:19oh,
23:19I have a pressure group
23:20of a thousand people.
23:21I will go and do
23:21chakka jam in Delhi.
23:23There are rules which are laid out.
23:24I'm not sure.
23:25Or maybe the Cockroach Janta Party
23:27and the spokespersons over there
23:28would have applied for this.
23:30I'm not sure of it.
23:31But what I've heard
23:32from newspapers is
23:33they only applied today.
23:34From that perspective
23:35and also keep in mind,
23:37Delhi police
23:37has its own intelligence arm.
23:39I don't know
23:39what intelligence
23:40they have gathered.
23:41Public life
23:42is at stake here.
23:43Do I have...
23:44Are they having more information
23:45that none of us
23:46sitting here
23:47in the newsroom
23:47have that?
23:48Maybe because of
23:49certain precautionary measures
23:50they've gone to this extent.
23:51There are still
23:52a lot of information
23:53arbitrage
23:54which we have to account for
23:55in order to come to a conclusion
23:56whether this was overboard or not.
24:02All right.
24:02You know,
24:02I just want to
24:04at least tell our viewers
24:06we are at the
24:07Mumbai-India
24:08Today conclave
24:09and we did have
24:10the members of the
24:11Cockroach Janta Party
24:11and at least the
24:12Cockroach Janta Party
24:13claims
24:13which was sort of thus
24:14he claims
24:15that he did go to
24:16the Delhi police
24:17well in time
24:17to get that
24:19order
24:20or
24:20you know
24:21at least he went and
24:22submitted an application
24:23where they wanted to protest
24:25but they never quite heard back
24:26from the Delhi police.
24:27I want to bring in
24:28Ms. Pasricha
24:29who is I believe
24:30a Cockroach Janta Party
24:31spokesperson
24:31Ms. Pasricha
24:32did you not
24:34apply in time
24:35for permission?
24:37Have there been
24:38you know
24:39gaps there?
24:40So we
24:41when we
24:42supplied
24:43intimation to the
24:44Delhi police
24:44yesterday
24:45we were there
24:47at their office
24:48and we let them know
24:49that
24:49actually it was
24:50two days ago
24:51if I'm not wrong
24:51that this was
24:53going to happen
24:53and
24:54the idea being
24:55that we
24:56as citizens
24:58are granted
24:58the right to protest
24:59under
25:00article 19
25:01and
25:02it is to let them
25:03know
25:03that this protest
25:04shall be happening
25:05it would be great
25:06if they will
25:07designate
25:07the designated
25:08protest site
25:09which is
25:09Jantar Mantar
25:10for us to do this
25:11and that is to
25:12let them know
25:13I think
25:13in the
25:14conversation
25:15that is happening
25:15about the
25:16measures being taken
25:17being unprecedented
25:18I think it's
25:19massive
25:20the kind of stuff
25:21that's happening
25:22for something
25:22that is a
25:23peaceful protest
25:24it's just about
25:25some 20-30 year olds
25:26who have called
25:27for a protest
25:28against the
25:30steep election
25:31commissioner
25:32and
25:33you know
25:34the security threat
25:35keeps coming up
25:36so who is
25:37what is the security
25:38threat
25:38we are trying to ask
25:40because there will be
25:41no violence
25:41from our end
25:42it's a peaceful
25:43protest
25:44that is the
25:45ask
25:46and
25:47I just want to say
25:49that the Delhi
25:50police
25:51personnel
25:5250,000
25:52personnel
25:53who have been
25:53deployed
25:53they seem
25:54to have
25:54a lot
25:54of intelligence
25:55about
25:57various
25:57goings on
25:58they know
25:58where we live
25:59we have been
26:00detained
26:01all over the
26:02country
26:04if this is the
26:05case
26:05then they should
26:05catch the
26:06people
26:06who
26:07they say
26:08are going
26:08to cause
26:09chaos
26:13all right
26:14okay
26:14so what we
26:14do know
26:15is that
26:15it's in the
26:15morning
26:15sometime
26:16that
26:17the
26:17Kokro
26:18Janata
26:18core team
26:19that is
26:19Abiji
26:19Ditke
26:20Saurav
26:20Das
26:20and Ashutosh
26:21Ranka
26:21will be
26:22making their
26:22way to
26:22the
26:22national
26:23capital
26:23will
26:23they
26:23be
26:24detained
26:24before
26:24they
26:24take
26:25their
26:25flight
26:25because
26:25now
26:26the
26:26home
26:26secretary
26:26has
26:27written
26:27to
26:28each
26:28state
26:29as
26:29well
