01:17Jérôme Tavoissi !

02:27Four new champions
02:37And the ace of the junior heavyweight division
02:54Toriano stole my red envelope
02:58I'm hot
02:59Now I gotta buy you
03:00I can't even buy you dinner
03:02It's one year ago
03:11At Wrestle Kingdom 10
03:14Kushida bested Kenny Omega
03:17Captured the
03:18IWGP junior heavyweight championship
03:21Set a whole
03:24Crazy friggin' motion
03:25Were it not for
03:27Kushida's win
03:30Would the events of
03:322016 have unfolded
03:33Omega would still be
03:36Junior heavyweight champion
03:37Wouldn't be able to declare himself
03:38Heavyweight
03:38Wouldn't have taken over both clubs
03:39All of these things
03:40All predicated on the fact
03:42That Kushida
03:43Defeated Omega
03:44One year ago
03:46And it hasn't been
03:47An easy road
03:48For Kushida
03:49In 2016
03:50He didn't just sail
03:52Through the last 12 months
03:53Because he had his hands full
03:55With another member of
03:56Los Ingobernables
03:57They have home
03:58All year long
03:58Oh yeah
03:59Won and
04:01Lost and won the championship
04:02With Rushi
04:03But what about the
04:04Battles
04:05With Will Offspring
04:06Yeah
04:07What a
04:07You know
04:08This kid
04:09And he's not a kid anymore
04:11But Kushida
04:13Has developed into
04:14The legitimate ace
04:17Of the New Japan Pro Wrestling
04:18Junior heavyweight division
04:22And he may have his toughest
04:26Defense ahead of him
04:28Right here
04:34The ace of the junior heavyweight division
04:37Very cautious today
04:39Yeah
04:42Because
04:46That young man right there
04:48Her own Takahashi
04:49And Tetsuya Naito
04:50Look into the eyes
04:51Of Takahashi
04:52They defeated
04:53Kushida
04:54And Tanahashi
04:56Takahashi
04:57Pinned
04:58Kushida
04:59And rode to Tokyo Dome
05:00Night 1
05:00In Cork and Hall
05:01Back on December 16th
05:05And it was just moments after
05:07Kushida had defeated
05:09Bushida
05:09Regained
05:10The IWGP Junior heavyweight title
05:12For the fourth time
05:13At Power Struggle
05:13In Osaka
05:14On November 5th
05:16At the time
05:17Of the time bomb
05:19Struck zero
05:20And the ticking time bomb
05:21Exploded
05:25KUSHIDA
05:25Now Kushida
05:27The 75th IWGP
05:28And the unpredictable nature
05:33Of Takahashi
05:37Was he going to start slow
05:38Was he going to start hot
05:42Very unpredictable
05:43But Kushida's ready
05:47Kushida got back on his feet
05:49Takahashi was taking his time
05:53And Kushida made a pick for it
05:54And now
05:55Kushida
05:56A fly
05:58Right in front of the Lord
05:59Of the Junior heavyweight
06:00Shushin Thunder Liger
06:04And now the match
06:05Has started officially
06:06Look at the replay
06:07Jumping halfway
06:09Across the ring
06:10Onto the floor
06:14So it is
06:15Kushida
06:16Defending the IWGP
06:18Junior heavyweight championship
06:19Against Hiromu Takahashi
06:21Referee Marty Asami
06:22Third man in the ring
06:25Quick shot of our
06:26Japanese broadcast partners
06:28We thank you for joining us here
06:30On njpwworld.com
06:34Right down on the arm
06:35That's the strategy of Kushida
06:37Work on that left arm
06:39Get that hoverboard lock on
06:41He doesn't get paid by the hour
06:47As all championship matches are
06:49Here in New Japan
06:50And it is one fall 60 minute time limit
06:52But this one will not go 60
06:53There is no way
06:54With the high octane offense
06:56That both men can deliver
06:57And here we go
07:00And going back to the
07:01Unpredictable nature of Takahashi
07:04Maybe that's playing into
07:07Kushida's strategy here
07:09End this match as quick as possible
07:11Try to get that submission victory
07:12Get this first defense done
07:15Because you don't know how dangerous this kid is
07:20Mexico changes a man
07:21Look what it did for Naito
07:23When Takahashi began his excursion journey
07:28Europe, Mexico
07:29It was Mexico where he transformed
07:31Where he grew out of his young lion shell
07:36And became the athlete that as you mentioned
07:40Became Kimatachi
07:41But now is the ticking time bomb
07:43Fighting under his own name
07:45That world of experience
07:48But Kushida is carrying the fight here
07:50And Steve I think you're exactly right
07:52Kushida knows he's got to put Takahashi away
07:54Quick and get on to business
07:57Yeah, because this is not the same guy
07:59That left Japan a few years ago
08:03Oh, sunset bomb
08:05Oh my god
08:08Kushida tried to hold on
08:13The momentum and strength
08:14That Takahashi pulled him down
08:20The explosive nature
08:23Takahashi so quick
08:28Very cocky here
08:32And they are attending to Kushida
08:35And referee Marty Asami is going to have a decision to make
08:38Will he stop the match?
08:41Has he gotten enough information from Kushida
08:44To determine whether or not
08:46He could safely continue in this match
08:48In spite of the fact that he just got sunset bombed onto the floor
08:51There is a possibility that Marty Asami will let this match continue
08:56But we could just as easily have a stoppage
08:59And Hiromu Takahashi will become the new IWGP Junior Heavyweight Champion
09:04And I think what he wants to make sure is that
09:07You know, there's not a concussion
09:08You see the doctor on ringside here
09:10The back of the head
09:11We can't see it from our monitor
09:13Hopefully we'll get a replay out of this
09:16He came down so violently
09:18Maybe on the back of his head
09:19We worry about concussions
09:21This doctor has been around since I've been here
09:24And I've been here 16 years
09:25And no better ring doctor
09:27What guts
09:29Just to be able to pull himself back in
09:32That's the pride
09:33That's the fighting pride
09:34These warriors here
09:37New Japan Pro Wrestling
09:42My gosh, he's saying he's not done
09:48Just disrespected the champion
09:55And the now
09:56In the LIJ group
10:00Under the leadership of Naito
10:01Before learning
10:03Under the learning tree
10:04Of Christopher Daniel
10:16Here's the cover
10:17The count of two
10:18Very cocky cover
10:23Fighting under his
10:25Former moniker of Kanatachi
10:27Really made a name for himself
10:29With the New Japan officials
10:31Realizing he was ready to come back
10:33From Excursion
10:34When he competed last year
10:36In Fantastica Mania
10:38And his memorable matchup
10:40With Dragon Lee
10:41At Cork and Hall
10:42Is certainly one that all fans
10:44Of both New Japan and CMLL
10:46Will never forget
10:48Caught
10:50Driven face first
10:52Violently
10:55But then it was determined
10:56That the final step
11:00In excursion for
11:01Then Kamatachi
11:03Would be to compete
11:03In Ring of Honor
11:06Mexico changes the man
11:08I think
11:09New Japan office
11:10Should rethink about
11:11Sending these guys to Mexico
11:12Well again the three company partnership
11:16Between New Japan
11:17CMLL and Ring of Honor
11:18Will continue
11:19And you've been to Mexico before
11:23Just once
11:31Nice
11:39Rashida trying to
11:42Gain his wits
11:44Well it's
11:44You know it's great
11:45A great
11:46Marty Asami
11:47Doesn't get enough credit
11:48As a referee
11:48But I thought he did
11:49A great job earlier on
11:50He could have very easily
11:51Just reaction
11:52Just stopped the match
11:54But he really took his time
11:55To determine whether or not
11:57Kushida was fit to continue
11:59I'm not complimenting him
12:00I'm a little mad at heart
12:04Caught him
12:05Caught to him by Tajiri
12:06Now he's caught his wits
12:08He's going after him
12:09Could it be
12:10Humberboard lock
12:11He's got it
12:12He's got the left arm trap
12:14But Hiromu breaks the grip
12:16Oh look at this
12:19Following it up
12:20German suplex
12:21Once again
12:23Landing on the back of his head
12:24Now Marty
12:25I believe Marty's got to get in there
12:27And see
12:29There he is
12:31See if Kushida can continue
12:34You've got to watch out
12:35For all this
12:39That's why I believe
12:40The 20 count is so important
12:42On the outside
12:42To give these athletes
12:44A chance to regain their composure
12:46Sometimes 10 is not enough
12:4820
12:49You can see where they're at
12:51Fighting spirit can only take you so far
12:55Brain starts swelling
12:57You start
12:58You know
12:59The heart starts racing
13:00That anxiety gets up
13:02Oh and now
13:03Takahashi
13:04I wondered if he was going to
13:05Let Kushida get back to his feet
13:07He does
13:08Oh
13:10Thank goodness
13:11Kushida had the wits to hold on
13:15Takahashi may have been thinking about
13:17Trying to pull Kushida all the way out to the floor
13:19Oh he was definitely trying to
13:22But now
13:23He got him to the floor
13:24But I don't think of a way that he wanted to
13:26Oh no
13:26This is so dangerous
13:28My god
13:29Did you hear that
13:33Sacrificing his own body
13:35Jumping Senton from the top turnbuckle
13:38To the outside of the floor
13:39Look at that
13:41Nails Kushida
13:43Kushida takes the brunt of it
13:45But
13:45Oh
13:46Takahashi violently down
13:48You see it took a
13:49A toll on him
13:51Maybe hit the left elbow
13:53Could have knocked the wind out of himself
13:57This is what the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Championship
14:00Means to these guys
14:05And now
14:06Marty Asami begins the count
14:17Back into the ring to break the count
14:20But Takahashi going back upstairs again
14:23Kushida somehow getting back on his feet
14:25No problem
14:27Knee drop from the top
14:28Two
14:28No
14:33These are our 7th of 10 matches
14:36Our 5th of 8 title matches
14:39In this amazing amazing card
14:43All titles have changed so far
14:45Yeah you talked about the percentages of
14:47Titles that have changed hands
14:49In 25 previous January 4th events
14:52We're breaking the bell curve here tonight
14:54Absolutely
14:55It started with 44%
14:56Now it's up to 46%
14:59Maybe a little more now
15:03Both men are down
15:06Both men need to regain their strength
15:08Create some space
15:10And that's what Kushida's doing
15:11Kushida the more experienced
15:13Of the two athletes
15:18Precious time here
15:24Trying to get that tank full of energy
15:26A little bit more
15:30Trying to have a look at Kushida's eyes
15:37Sunset bomb second time
15:40Oh what a counter
15:43Self-preservation
15:44And athleticism all wrapped up in a line
15:47But watch out
15:47The ticking time
15:48Oh he called
15:49And he would get Kohlreger
15:52Unbelievable
15:56He's not going for the win
15:57He's going to break this kid's arm
16:03He's risking disqualification here
16:05Yeah that's exactly what Marty's telling him
16:12Kushida does not care
16:14This is gone from competition
16:16To hatred very quickly
16:19Listen to him scream
16:22He's got a
16:22Marty counting the bell back
16:28Kushida's got to be risking disqualification here
16:35Now instead of perhaps picking up the count out win
16:38He rolls it back in Steve
16:41Turnabout is fair play
16:46Kushida's angry
16:47He has absorbed so much punishment
16:50But he dished out
16:51A ton of it right there
16:53Perhaps could have just walked away
16:55With a count out win
16:56And still the championship
16:58But wants to
16:59Make Takahashi submit
17:13I don't think I've ever seen
17:16This side of Kushida before
24:30C'est un voyage pour Hiromu Takahashi,
24:35de la jeune lion, de l'excursion autour du monde,
24:37de retourner à Wrestle Kingdom XI
24:39et de devenir l'IWGP Junior Heavyweight Champion.
