00:25Congratulations on this, what a beautiful character and she's so brave, what was it
00:29like taking this character on? It was so special for me getting to play Prue because like you said
00:34she's such a strong brave character and I think it's important that we see as many strong brave
00:39young women as possible so getting to play her and really kind of craft her journey through my
00:46voice was really special. How emotional was it when you first saw her on screen come to life?
00:51Very emotional, it was kind of a crazy experience because they filmed us while we were in the
00:56recording booths so there were some moments in the film where she like makes an expression or does
01:01a hand gesture and I'm like oh my god like that's me which is so kind of weird and cool
01:05so it was it
01:06was very exciting very emotional. I do voiceovers as well and I hate when I have to watch the footage
01:11back because obviously when you're voicing you're obviously putting more into the voice so what was
01:14that like when you were watching yourself back? I mean it's rough I don't like seeing my face I don't
01:19like hearing my voice so anything involving those two things isn't ideal for me but I think then
01:24getting to see it contribute to something so beautiful made me feel a little bit less
01:29negatively towards my own voice so that's good. So your voice is beautiful, thank you. Do you have
01:35any like warm-ups or any routines that you would do before you would go out and record? Nothing specific
01:41I mean I would go home like dry throat so I probably should have been doing more warm-ups or
01:48or cool downs or whatever um but yeah it was just a great experience and worth worth the
01:56effort. Yeah well you absolutely smashed it honestly I love this character, love this film,
02:01you look so beautiful. Thank you so much. So nice to meet you. Are you? I like this, is that
02:05a shacket
02:06we call it? Yeah, I think so yeah something like that. Yeah, it's lovely. Listen congratulations,
02:11this film is so beautiful. What was it like that first moment when you saw your character brought to
02:15life? It was amazing honestly it was weird I recorded it so long ago like my my voice is very
02:21different so
02:21like the first couple of minutes I had a hard time like registering that as my voice so that was
02:27really
02:27weird but um but yeah it's it's it's interesting because not only it's like it's a type of a handcrafted
02:32animation where it's like you feel like they're real people even though they're puppets but they're
02:36just like the way they're animated is like they really have like their own soul to them which is
02:41very unique yeah. Well talking about your voice do you have any like warm-up routines or anything you
02:46did to protect it? Um no but I should probably learn them because like by the end of a recording
02:51especially because usually what they'll do is they'll save like all the grunts and the screaming
02:54and the efforts or like the end over the recording session so you don't like destroy your voice
02:59um so that's always really helpful. And people were saying that they filmed you guys in the booth
03:04what was that like watching that back? I never actually got to see that but I'm interested
03:09now where that footage is and and where it might be um and what it might look like I'm kind
03:14of I've never
03:15really thought about that so you asked me that but yeah they take it and then I guess they use
03:18it for
03:18like inspo if any like sort of movements or facial expressions and inspire them for the for the work
03:24of the animation. Because I do voiceovers too and I find that when I'm doing voiceovers I'm like over
03:29animated at the face so when I walk to back I'm like. Yeah no absolutely yeah I mean that makes
03:32sense but like
03:33that's the thing is you have to bring out so much emotion just from the tone the tone and the
03:38texture of
03:38your of your voice so it's hard sometimes um completely different you know you don't get to like do like
03:43subtle
03:43facial expressions um so yeah you know you're absolutely right like it's it's it definitely
03:48is like that. Every time I watch myself back I'm like oh that looks insane let's not watch this.
03:52I know but you got to do it you got to do it yeah. You've got to commit just as
03:56much effort
03:56more right when you're playing a voice character. Absolutely yeah. And tell me about your character
04:02because I love him I mean he's both along supports so brave I mean what was it like? Yeah I
04:08love Curtis you
04:09know he um he was really fun uh we got I just remember like being in the recording booth and
04:14just
04:14like like I said there's a lot of screaming right and this guy kind of screams a lot so we
04:19would do
04:19like an hour every day of just like screaming which um was training on the voice but that's why you
04:26save it for the end but it was fun like honestly like getting to like play with that because I
04:30was at a
04:30point in my voice where it was like changing a lot so it was very like up and down like
04:35squeaky and
04:36cracking so it was fun to like play into that. But I guess that works for the characters. It totally
04:40did it totally did I would not be able to do it now it doesn't work anymore. May as well
04:44enjoy your
04:44premiere thank you so much. Thank you so much. Nice to meet you too. Thank you.
