Opposition leaders and INDIA alliance members gathered at Congress leader Rahul Gandhi's official residence at 5 Suneri Bagh Road in New Delhi to discuss their ongoing agitation and future course of action against the Election Commission of India. Speaking outside the residence, Congress MP Karti Chidambaram stated that collective leadership will decide future steps, noting that options include legal avenues, street demonstrations, and raising the issue in Parliament. The meeting follows a joint petition filed in the Supreme Court by Rahul Gandhi and ten other alliance leaders, alongside street marches in central Delhi and plans for an impeachment motion.

00:00The ball is now in court, sir. You have already filed a petition in your block.
00:04Yes, that's also going on. So that's where we'll find out what's being planned. Let's see.
00:10Haru, speaking to my colleague Rahul Gautam. Rahul, if you can hear me, what is the plan like?
00:16Who are all, who all are being permitted inside the residence and IT, is that where it ends or Adharna
00:23next?
00:27Well, surprise and shock. These are the two new elements that have been now added to Congress ecosystem.
00:34And, you know, we have seen in past as well that how Congress Party and entire opposition bloc was on
00:39suites.
00:40And therefore, one cannot discount from this idea that, again, they might go all the way from here, you know,
00:46from the opportunity residence of Rahul Gandhi,
00:48that's 5 Suneribag Road, to somewhere in the central Delhi, as it had happened earlier.
00:54Last time when all the MPs and leaders met here, they actually watched, you know, took out a march towards
01:00Gandhi Smriti.
01:02I'll just show you what's really happening on Ground Zero.
01:04On my right-hand side, you can see the very entrance of Rahul Gandhi's residence has been completely covered now.
01:14So, now it's very difficult to get a glimpse as to what's really happening inside.
01:19And then, from the other side, you can see, you know, leaders coming in, walking in.
01:24You can see Dipender Huda, Karthik Chidambram, Phul Chand Molana, Varun Molana.
01:29So, clearly, it seems that, and everybody has been asked to come.
01:32You can see now Neha Bora also, the student leader who has come here.
01:37She was there in the bus as well, yesterday, and also part of, also part of, you know, protest march
01:45that was taken out.
01:46This is, Karthik Chidamb, Karthik Chidamb, you're going to hit streets again today, as we've been doing.
01:52The leadership will decide on what we're going to do, and I'm sure, collectively, the India Alliance leaders will decide
01:57on our next course of action.
01:58The ball is now in legal court. You have already filed a petition on...
02:01That is one avenue. I mean, taking the issue to the people, going through the legal route,
02:07and also, if our parliament convenes to raise it on the floor of parliament, all these are many options we
02:13have.
02:13We will exercise all options.
02:14He's saying that you won't be able to hide now. Now, you have to prove your allegations in court now,
02:19sir.
02:20Of course, let the... The court process is slow and long, and we're all well aware of that.
02:26But that is a process, but there will be other avenues which we will pursue as well.
02:30Thank you, thank you.
02:31So that was Mr. Karthik Chidamb, putting clear words that it's the senior leadership that's going to decide as to
02:38what is the future course of action.
02:39But as he again insisted that the fight will continue, they are already...
02:45We know that, you know, the Congress Party is fighting this battle, quote-unquote, against the Election Commission on multiple
02:52fronts.
02:52They have already opened one in the parliament, inside parliament, as they are trying to bring an impeachment motion.
02:59Then we have seen on the streets as well, Congress and entire opposition bloc taking out demonstrations.
03:04And obviously, the third one has now been added.
03:09That's a legal arena, as an official petition has been filed by Rahul Gandhi and other 10 leaders of India
03:16bloc.
03:17In fact, Rahul Gandhi is the main petitioner in that particular petition.
03:20So, clearly, it seems that the idea is to keep up the, you know, momentum going and to maintain the
03:27pressure.
03:28He's been able to do that, hitting the streets constantly.
03:31The charge against Rahul Gandhi earlier was that he vanishes midway.
03:34He doesn't really have a continued protest.
03:37This time is definitely different.
03:39One strategy or another, he lands up on the streets, flash protests or getting other parties together.
03:43He's been able to do that.
