00:00Is that what I think it is? Look at this! I don't believe it, but I actually caught one!
00:05Welcome to MojoPlays, and today we're looking at the best deluxe editions of physical games ever released.
00:11We're focusing on collections with items that are either useful or connect to the gameplay experience.
00:16We're also not including any special editions that don't come with a physical game.
00:21I am a huge fan of collector's editions, and I kind of just want to tell you a little bit
00:25about...
00:26Cory, Cory, Cory, people just want to see the swag, man!
00:29Now, before we dive in, we publish new content all week long, so be sure to subscribe and ring the
00:34bell to get notified about our latest videos.
00:37Red Dead Redemption 2 Special and Ultimate Editions
00:49Unfortunately, the collector's box of Red Dead Redemption 2 is one of those collector's editions that doesn't come with the
00:56actual game.
00:57The Special and Ultimate Editions, on the other hand, were both relatively affordable for most players at launch, and are
01:03excellent physical editions of the game.
01:06The Special Edition came with various in-game extras, like a bonus bank robbery mission, some cosmetics, and some gameplay
01:13boost items.
01:14Exclusive content for story mode, including bank robbery mission and gang hideout.
01:19What made it really special was the massive, two-sided map of the U.S., and a second, smaller map
01:26specifically for New Hanover and New Austin.
01:29Maps are always great physical representations of the game to include.
01:33The Ultimate Edition, which features even more in-game exclusives, also comes with a nice steelbook case.
01:39Considering how important realism is to the game, it was cool to see physical editions come with such highly detailed
01:45maps.
01:49Call of Duty Black Ops 3 Juggernaw Edition
02:00There have been several entries in the Call of Duty series whose collector's editions have come with usable goodies.
02:062009's Modern Warfare 2 came with a set of night vision goggles.
02:10But Black Ops 3's Juggernaw Edition came with something you'd probably, hopefully, get more everyday use out of.
02:18That being, a mini-fridge able to hold up to 12 12-ounce cans, complete with light and audio from
02:24the game.
02:28It even came with a set of coasters, so you could enjoy an ice-cold beverage while you gamed.
02:34Plus, a steelbook, set of art cards, the season pass, some in-game cosmetics, a digital soundtrack, and a bonus
02:40Zombies map.
02:41It's definitely one of the cooler special editions the series has ever gotten.
02:50Borderlands The Handsome Collection, Claptrap in a Box Edition
02:54Now let's go and see this very rare steelbook.
02:58It looks like 3D, with very good details.
03:03The Handsome Collection was already set to have a ton of content, with two games and all their DLC.
03:09But it's also another game that came with one of the more unique, usable goodies.
03:14As the title suggests, Claptrap in a Box Edition comes with a small model of Claptrap,
03:20which you can control via remote controller or through your phone.
03:24This is my camera for a second to...
03:26I can't breathe!
03:29You can also stream to your phone through the camera in Claptrap's eye,
03:33and get him to say some of his most iconic lines on command.
03:37In addition to that, the steelbook case and 12 lithograph art prints of all the Vault Hunters were just nice
03:43bonuses.
03:46Nooooooo!
03:50Persona 5 Take Your Heart Edition
03:52In the meantime, let's open this up and see what's inside.
03:56As one of the most stylish RPGs ever created, Persona 5 also got an awesome special edition.
04:02For those who purchased the Take Your Heart Edition, you got a ton of physical goodies.
04:07A steelbook case, a Morgana plush, a 64-page art book, a soundtrack on CD, and the most useful item
04:15of the bunch,
04:15a replica school bag with the Shujin Academy logo.
04:19I gotta say, this one is a lot better quality than the Shujin bag that was in the Take Your
04:26Heart Edition.
04:26Atlus followed a similar pattern for the updated version of the game, Persona 5 Royal, with the One More Edition.
04:34In addition to its own steelbook, it also came with several character art cards, a grimoire frame to display them
04:40in,
04:40a tarot deck, and a replica of a Ketchy's briefcase.
04:44Here is the mask on its stand. Looks pretty cool.
04:47The Last of Us Part 2, Ellie Edition.
04:50Let's go ahead and move this aside and go ahead and open The Last of Us Part 2, Ellie Edition.
04:56The Last of Us Part 2 launched with four different physical editions,
05:00so you could choose how much love to show Naughty Dog across tiers.
05:05The biggest and most expensive, the Ellie Edition, came with a variety of collectibles,
05:10a few of which you could actually get a lot of use out of, on top of all the rest.
05:15And here we have the statue.
05:19Wow.
05:21A steelbook case, a 48-page mini art book, a lithograph art print with thank you letter,
05:26a 12-inch statue of Ellie playing the guitar, some stickers and pens, a patch, and a 7-inch vinyl
05:33record.
05:33That is already a ton of extras, all of high quality.
05:37But in terms of useful items, you also got replicas of Ellie's bracelet and her book bag,
05:42which also must have made cosplaying a fair bit easier.
05:46This is really nice, and if you want to see it, like this side example, that's how big it is.
05:52Batman Arkham Asylum, Collector's Edition.
05:55So anyway, I think we will get straight on with the unboxing.
05:58It may not be as grand or include as many goodies as some other editions on this list,
06:02but everything included with Batman Arkham Asylum's Collector's Edition is still very cool.
06:08In addition to an exclusive challenge map, physical bonuses are
06:11a behind-the-scenes DVD featuring interviews with Mark Hamill and Kevin Conroy,
06:16and a stand-mounted Batarang replica, perfect for the shell.
06:21Nothing you could use in everyday life, but the item that connects to the game, in a way,
06:26is an Arkham doctor's journal on the asylum's inmates, wrapped in a leather case.
06:30So you can study Batman's villains both in-game and in real life.
06:35It's just sort of editing notes and stuff like that.
06:37But no, it's actually a pretty nice little edition.
06:40The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt, Collector's Edition.
06:48Who doesn't love a good fantasy map?
06:51It's always nice to see one included in a physical or collector's edition,
06:55and matches our criteria for items that connect you to your experience.
07:00While The Witcher 3's collector's edition does come with a lovely rendition of The Continent,
07:05there's also an impressive haul of other goodies.
07:15There are other items that can immerse you in the world of The Witcher,
07:18like a 200-page art book, a CD soundtrack, and a small universe compendium.
07:24But its centerpiece is an impressive hand-painted statue of Geralt taking down a griffin.
07:30Other visual trinkets are the steelbook case, stickers, and a replica of Geralt's medallion,
07:35giving the collection a nice variety.
07:38The Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild, Master Edition.
07:42We also have the CD soundtrack, which we're going to have to bust open here in just a few moments.
07:48We'll give you guys a nice little close-up view of this.
07:51The Zelda series has a long tradition of upholding the importance of physical releases,
07:55even with Ocarina of Time's first run of gold cartridges.
07:59For the new era of the series that Breath of the Wild brought,
08:02the Master Edition offered a tremendous celebration of goods.
08:06On top of a 24-song soundtrack CD and a Sheikah Eye collectible coin,
08:11it came with a Sheikah Slate-themed carrying case for your Switch,
08:14something you could actually get a lot of use out of,
08:17and a map of Hyrule.
08:20But on the other side is just a map of Hyrule.
08:23A thick scroll, giving a weather-worn appearance.
08:26Of course, the most noteworthy inclusion is the Master Sword statuette,
08:30worn from time, with a silent princess next to it,
08:33making it a standout piece in any Zelda fan's collection.
08:38This one here is called the Silent Princess.
08:41It's a rare, endangered species.
08:43Fallout 4 Pip-Boy Edition.
08:46Inside, you are first greeted with the game.
08:48This comes in a steelbook that has a very nice matte finish.
08:51Plenty of collector's editions include character statues.
08:55Not many include wearable pieces of gear that you can actually use while playing the game.
09:00This special edition of Fallout 4 came with a life-size Pip-Boy and display stand.
09:06While wearing it, you could slide a smartphone in,
09:09which could then connect to the companion app that let you check perks and manage inventory,
09:13making it feel much cooler to use.
09:16So by now you should be able to tell that it's pretty much a fully functional Pip-Boy.
09:20It also came with a Pip-Boy instruction guide,
09:22a metal case for your game,
09:24and a Vault-Tec poster,
09:26all packaged within an authentic-looking Pip-Boy capsule case.
09:30As far as collectibles that tie into the game experience,
09:33this remains one of the coolest.
09:35I think that it's definitely worth the $120
09:38for everything that you get
09:40and such a good replica.
09:43If you love games,
09:44be sure to check out WatchMojo's new game,
09:46Terrible Influence.
09:48Just launched for purchase at TerribleInfluence.com.

09:54from the writer of the most popular girls in school

10:11This is Chris Judge, Kratos.
10:13We are here to unbox the Collector's Edition of God of War.
10:18The Collector's Edition for 2018's God of War
10:21comes with a lot of trinkets that would make any fan happy.
10:24A steelbook case, a lithograph art piece,
10:27two-inch carved figurines of Brock and Sendri,
10:31a nine-inch figure of Kratos and Atreus mid-action,
10:34and a ton of digital bonuses.
10:37Cory, people just want to see the swag, man.
10:39They just want to see the stuff.
10:40Let's do this.
10:41Let's make this happen.
10:42It also came with one of the coolest physical maps
10:45a Collector's Edition has ever received.
10:47Not only is it cloth as opposed to the standard paper,
10:50but it also features authentic Norse runes.
10:53When translated, fans found that it featured a riddle,
10:56which led to actual in-game gear.
10:58While that information is readily available for everyone now,
11:02this Easter egg with an end-game reward attached to it,
11:05along with everything else,
11:07makes this one of the coolest Collector's Editions ever.
11:11And there you have it.
