00:01In this video I will show you how to update Windows Defender. Now there's two
00:07things you're going to want to do and check to make sure you are running the
00:10latest version of Windows Defender. So the first thing you're going to want to
00:14do is come down to your search box in the task bar at the bottom. In here you
00:18want to type update and then click on to check for updates underneath best match.
00:25Now if there's any updates available from this page you're going to want to
00:28install those updates and then restart your laptop or computer. Once you've
00:33done that you can now check if there's any specific updates for Windows Defender.
00:38So again from your desktop you want to come down to the search box in the task
00:41bar at the bottom and this time you want to type Windows security. Underneath best
00:47match click to open up your Windows security and then what you want to do
00:52from this window is click on to virus and threat protection. On the next screen
00:57scroll down slightly and you're going to see a section about virus and threat
01:01protection updates. What you want to do is click onto the protection updates link
01:07and from here you can click the button to check for any available updates. Again if
01:15there's any updates available then you'll be able to install that so you are
01:19running a later version of Microsoft Windows Defender. But if you are upstate
01:24you're going to get a message like myself saying security intelligence is up to
01:28date and you can see information about when the last update was installed. So
