00:06To get started from your desktop, what you want to do is come down to your search box
00:10in the taskbar at the bottom, and in here, you want to type Windows Security.
00:16Underneath Best Match, click onto Windows Security,
00:18and that's going to open up the Windows Security screen.
00:21And what you want to do now is click onto Virus and Threat Protection,
00:25and then from here, you want to come down to Virus and Threat Protection Settings,
00:28and click the link which says Manage Settings.
00:32Now, from here, to disable your Defender,
00:35all you need to do is find Real-Time Protection and turn the switch off.
00:39On the permission pop-up that comes up, click Yes,
00:41and as you can see, Real-Time Protection is off,
00:44which is going to temporarily disable your Windows Defender.
00:47Now, this does turn back on automatically after a short time,
00:51but you can also do it manually as well after you've turned it off to do what you need to
00:54do.
00:55And if you're having any problems on the screen with turning Real-Time Protection off,
00:58then what you want to do is just scroll down slightly until you see an option for Tamper Protection.
01:04Turn this off, and once you've done that,
01:05you should now be able to go ahead and turn off Real-Time Protection.
01:09So that is how to disable Windows Defender in Windows 11 Temporary.
01:13Thanks for watching, and I will see you in the next video.
