00:00The Healer family tree runs deeper than most people realize and today we are going through
00:04every single member of the Healer family from the oldest to the youngest. Let's start at the very
00:10top of the tree with Grandpa Bob. Bob Healer is Bandit's father and has only physically appeared
00:15twice in the entire show. For most of the series he was simply missing and the theories about where
00:21he had gone ranged from dead to divorced to traveling the world. The postcards that appeared
00:26around the house in season 3 turned out to be the biggest clue. He had been in India
00:31on a self-discovery trip. In the episode Fairy Tale we see a younger version of Bob set in
00:37the 1980s and he is a completely different person to the warm, relaxed Grandpa we eventually
00:42meet. Back then he was short-tempered, sarcastic and could not even remember his own son's
00:48names. One interesting mystery surrounding Bob is his missing ear bite. In the Fairy Tale
00:53flashback, young Bob has neither of these features. How he lost part of his ear has never been
00:58explained. Alongside Bob is Nana Healer, whose full name is Christine. Nana is the warmest
01:05character in the entire show. She has a rounder body shape compared to the more rectangular Healer
01:10designs, pink glasses and her trademark line of asking everyone to hang on while she gets
01:15her glasses. In the Fairy Tale flashback she is around 36 years old, still sporting her
01:22pink glasses and a massive perm and disciplining the boys the old school way. As of now, she
01:28has retired to the Gold Coast where she lives in a beachfront apartment. Connected to either
01:33Bob or Nana is a character called Aunty Mary, who was only ever mentioned once, in the episode
01:38Barbeque, where Chili tells Trixie that a salad dressing recipe is Aunt Mary's. Because Chili
01:47says Aunt Mary rather than my aunt, it seems like Mary is not directly related to Chili.
01:52Since the connection runs through the Healer side, the most likely theory is that Mary is
01:57either a sister of Bob or Nana. Probably Nana, given how involved she seems to be in the family's
02:03lives. She has never appeared on screen and may never will. But she contributed a salad dressing
02:09recipe that has clearly stood the test of time. Now let's move to Chili's side of the family.
02:14Her father Mort lives alone and is deeply connected to nature. He is a former soldier and a decorated
02:20war veteran. He has won the Victoria Cross which can be seen hanging in Healer's living room.
02:25He has had health problems including heart surgery, which he handles with stubbornness. As seen in the
02:30episode Grandad, where he ignores medical advice and runs around playing with his granddaughters.
02:35His last name is Cattle, which is where Chili's maiden name comes from. The reason Mort lives alone
02:40is because his wife, Chili's mom, sadly passed away. And that's exactly who we're going to talk about
02:45next. Mrs. Cattle is one of those characters we know very little about. We've only ever seen her in
02:51a picture and drawings. We know she passed away many years ago, long before Bluey was born. In the episode
02:56Dragon, Chili describes her mother as someone who always supported her, the reason Chili became a
03:01good artist. Now let's move to the second generation, Bob and Nana's sons. Starting with the eldest,
03:07Radley Healer, better known as Uncle Rad. He works on an oil rig far from Brisbane, which explains why
03:13he rarely appears at family events. He drives a big truck and loves almond milk shampoo. And he is
03:19genuinely fun and empathetic. In the episode Double Babysitter, when Frisky gets visibly uncomfortable
03:25being asked about her breakup with Bosco, Rad immediately distracts the girls and changes the
03:30subject without making a big deal of it. Rad's design has caused a lot of debate among fans.
03:35He has significantly more red fur than Bandit or Stripe, which has led to theories that he might
03:40be adopted or a half-sibling from a different relationship. The middle Healer brother is of
03:45course Bandit. He works as an archaeologist, mostly from home, which allows him to be a stay-at-home
03:50parent for Bluey and Bingo. His office is filled with old bones, gems, maps, and archaeological finds.
03:57He is left-handed, loves sauerkraut despite what it does to him, plays squash with Stripe,
04:02and has an entire collection of signature sayings. He met Chili in London, proposed to her in Italy,
04:08and traveled extensively before settling down in Brisbane. The youngest of the three brothers
04:13is Stripe Healer. His design closely resembles Nana Healer, but with the red patch from Bob and the
04:19obvious stripes that gave him his name. As a kid, he was picked on relentlessly by Bandit. He really
04:24struggles to say no to his daughters. His job has never been confirmed, but based on his family's
04:29very modern home with a pool in the middle of Brisbane, which would easily cost over a million
04:34dollars, they are clearly doing well financially. Chili's older sister is Brandy. For most of the
04:40series, Brandy stayed away from the family, and the reason becomes clear when you understand her story.
04:45She had been struggling with infertility for years, and being around Bluey and Bingo was a painful
04:50reminder of what she felt she might never have. She and Chili had grown distant because of it,
04:54but at the end of season three, Brandy appears pregnant. Her biggest dream finally happening.
05:00Chili took on the Healer name when she married Bandit. She works part-time as an airport security
05:05officer. Before settling in Brisbane, she traveled extensively with Bandit through Europe and India,
05:10and there is a photo of the two of them at the Taj Mahal hanging on the wall of the
05:14Healer house.
05:15She loves field hockey, and has trophies in the garage to prove it. She grew up near a swamp,
05:20and was taught by her father how to swim in open water and survive in the wilderness,
05:24skills she has quietly passed down to her daughters. She also lost a baby before Bluey was born,
05:29which Joe Brum confirmed through the balloon scene in the show. And in the episode Dragon,
05:33we learn that her relationship with her own mother deeply shaped the kind of mom she became.
05:39Trixie is part of the family through her marriage to Stripe. She is one of Chili's closest friends,
05:44and the two of them play field hockey together regularly. As a parent, Trixie tends to be
05:48stricter than Stripe, which makes sense given how much Stripe struggles to say no to his daughters.
05:53The two of them argue more than any other couple in the show, which can be seen in the background
05:57of episodes like The Sign. Moving on to Frisky, the latest addition to the Healer family,
06:03after her marriage with Radley in the episode The Sign. Frisky is one of Chili's closest friends.
06:08She has been in Chili's life for a very long time. She's also Bluey's godmother. She has one of the
06:13most distinctive designs in the show, one of the very few characters with an actual hairstyle.
06:18She also shares Rad's love of almond milk shampoo, which is one of the many reasons that brought them
06:23together. Now let's move on to the third generation, Bluey Christine Healer, with Christine
06:29being a quiet tribute to Nana. She's six years old. She would have been her parents' second child
06:35if not for the miscarriage that Bandit and Chili experienced before she was born.
06:39Bluey is incredibly creative, constantly coming up with the unique games and imaginative worlds
06:44that she, Bingo, and their friends play. As the older sister, Bluey can sometimes be a little
06:50bossy or competitive. But underneath that, she's deeply caring and always wants Bingo to be included.
06:56Then there's Bingo Healer, born two years after Bluey, making her four years old. She's a fan
07:02favorite. In many ways, she can be surprisingly more emotionally mature despite being the younger
07:08one. Bingo is sensitive and deeply empathetic, often picking up on feelings that others might
07:12overlook. Bingo also has a quiet bravery about her. In the creek, she shows more courage than Bluey
07:18when it comes to facing the unknown. On Stripe's side, we have Muffin Healer, who is a year younger
07:24than Bingo and somehow seems to contain more energy than anyone. Muffin is loud, determined, and almost
07:30completely incapable of accepting the word no. But underneath all that chaos, Muffin is still
07:35a little kid, learning how to manage her emotions and understand boundaries. And as the seasons go
07:40on, we actually see her mature. She becomes better at listening, sharing, and understanding when she
07:46needs to calm down. And then there is Socks, the youngest cousin, who spent her early appearances
07:51walking on all fours and barking like an actual dog before gradually growing into a more typical
07:56character across the seasons. Everyone loves Socks. And finally, at the very bottom of the
08:02family tree, hiding behind a door with a ball blaster, Bluey's daughter. She appears at the end
08:07of the season 3 finale Surprise in a flash forward to the future. The fandom has given her the name
08:13Roxy, and her design appears to be a mix of Bluey, Mackenzie, and Jean-Luc. Who her father is remains
08:19one
08:19of the biggest unsolved questions in the show. But whoever it turns out to be, she has clearly inherited
08:24her mother's love of ambushing Bandit. Some things are just genetic.
