00:00Hello there and a very good afternoon to you on this Sunday which is sunny for many, dry with a
00:05light breeze but we are seeing livelier conditions through this morning into this afternoon across eastern counties. Some heavy downpours,
00:13likely the risk of thunder as well as hail and a brisk wind as well. But brighter skies still coming
00:19through across much of England and Wales, certainly sunshine across Scotland and Northern Ireland after a frosty start. More on
00:25the way of a wind though towards the Western Isles.
00:28Now through the afternoon, expect some heavier downpours just developing as that rain blossoms across the east of England. Temperatures
00:37then probably 15 degrees Celsius here, 10 to 13 across Scotland and Northern Ireland after that chilly start. Temperatures rising
00:44because of the sunshine and that light wind not feeling too bad if you wrap up out and about with
00:49a blast of October sunshine through this afternoon.
00:52Now through the latter part of today, notice this showery rain continues its passage westwards, clouds spilling ahead of it.
01:00And then this rain blossoms even further as we head through the night and into Monday.
01:04The risk of thunder along that south coast there and that wind always a feature particularly across this eastern side
01:10of England. Lighter breezes and also lower temperatures as we enter the next week, the early hours of Monday morning
01:19with a widespread frost for Scotland and Northern Ireland.
01:22But not the case towards the west there. Temperatures holding up with more clouds and also that wind.
01:28So into tomorrow morning, it's likely to start on a cold and frosty note with some sunshine. Scotland, Northern Ireland
01:35and also the far north of England.
01:37You may encounter some rain as you start your day across the rest of England and Wales. The odd heavier
01:43pulse can't be ruled out, but then it does tend to turn drier towards the east there with brakes allowing
01:49for some sunshine as that rain tends to push down towards the west country.
01:54And you've got this pulse here moving in across northern England to the southeast of Scotland.
01:57But for much of the latter part of Monday, it's mostly dry. Yes, we'll see quite a breeze towards this
02:05east coast across the western side of Scotland.
02:07But you hang on to some sunshine. Caithnest, Sutherland, the northwest Highlands as well as the western side of Northern
02:14Ireland.
02:15Some sunshine to end the day here. We could see some breaks in the cloud further south and southeast.
02:20Temperatures then through the afternoon, probably 14 to 16 across England and Wales, 12 to 13 across Scotland and Northern
02:28Ireland.
02:29So that's a picture on Monday afternoon. Through Monday evening, many areas will be dry.
02:35We could see a bit of drizzliness come in as the cloud thickens across that east coast of England, eastern
02:39and central parts of Scotland.
02:41And down towards the west country, one or two showery bursts are possible. Elsewhere, some clearer skies as we enter
02:48Monday evening.
02:50However, the weather will change as we head through the next few days.
02:53There will be slithers of sunshine, but eventually it does become wet and windy.
02:58Obviously, we'll keep you posted here on all our social media channels and I'll see you again soon.
