As Martha Stewart says in this video, this dinner recipe for chicken soup in a bowl is simple, delicious, and healthy, but very unusual. It comes together with just three ingredients: a whole chicken, sliced ginger, and cilantro. Martha serves the soup with rice and a variety of dipping sauces, such as hoisin sauce, chili oil, and a combination of soy sauce and freshly grated ginger.

00:00Recently I learned how to make chicken soup in a bowl. It's so easy. Ginger, just slice it thinly
00:07and this goes right into the cavity of the chicken and maybe a little cilantro. And now
00:12just truss up the chicken. So now the chicken goes right into this bowl. Then the bowl goes
00:17into the pot. But do this in your sink. Six inches of hot water into your pot. So you're creating
00:24a
00:24steamer pot for your bowl. And now you put your bowl into the pot and now cold water in the
00:31bowl
00:32to cover the chicken. And then you put this on your stove, cover, bring to a boil and steam until
00:39the
00:39chicken is done. Now this is what the chicken looks like an hour and 40 minutes later. I think you'll
00:44agree that this is simple. It's delicious. It's healthy and it is very unusual. Chicken
